sperman
I stumbled across these old stages from the nationals in the late 80's. http://www.k8nd.com/documents/sbnatls1.PDF I haven't made it throug the whole doc yet, but it is interesting to see how much has changed, and how much is still the same. I've never shot at a 50 yard target. I hope I never have to during a match.
yoshidaex
I heard course designs changed up quite a bit when out of country ipsc shooters commented on how much "box" shooting is so prevalent in USPSA.
Guest
Boxes, ports, and, doors...Oh, My! This one is great! Montezuma's Revenge..."Start Position: Sitting in outhouse with magazine in both hands, forearms on knees, loaded gun beside you....." I wonder what magazine they used as a prop? It would be cool To shoot a "retro" match using these stages. Extra points go to the folks using retro gear!
Flatland Shooter
How many of those stages made you go prone? I never did figure out how to do it where it was not fast and painful. My back still hurts! Bill

Count me in. I've still got the open gun I had built for the 1987 Nationals. Just have to find my 45 ACP dies to load up some shells. Carmoney
I've never shot at a 50 yard target. I hope I never have to during a match. At the Kansas Sectional a couple years ago, they had a standards stage that included shots at 75 yards. With a par time, no less!
sperman
I'm pretty sure how that would go for me. Cover target with front sight Hold over until head of target disappears Pull Trigger Wait for beep. Hope the shot landed on paper. Reload for next string. 22 shooter
In those days there was always a 50 yd string in just about every state and regional match. Back then, you moved from box to box. Today we've just moved the boxes from the gound to the air (windows). We didn't have all the walls we have today.

dsb45acp
Is it just me or does "Hard and Soft" look like a current classifier stage? I just can't think which one.
