doc540
Jess is a young friend of mine who is battling cancer with all her Sicilian heart and soul. I dedicated my match to her this morning and took 1st overall. May God give her rest and ease her pain.

DCMJ
Now that's the very definition of "class act". Congratulations on your win.

doc540
Many thanks. It's no coincidence that my "purpose" and intention was better focused because of Jess. And, of course, BE's advice of "front sight...one shot at a time" was running through my head like a tape loop. More than once I actually stopped before firing, took another breath, and refocused on the front sight again. Strangely enough, my best run was the last one I shot. I began to really believe I was going to win the match for Jess and just relished each and every shot. She's dying and may not last another day. Feeling helpless, my hope was when she saw the pictures a loving connection would be made, and, somehow, that would give her some measure of solace.
