I have 140 mm sti body with Dawson +1 base and grams followers and springs, do I have to do anything special or will they run correctly when I put them together ?? APL-G35
I believe Dawson sells a kit and a DVD for mag tuning. I think it has all the dimensions on feed lips and other critical measurements for the mags.

pvhendrix
I have to agree with Seth. I have 40 STI .40 mags. 5 of them are tuned by FGW and were a gift from a friend. The other 35 are stock an/or have various basepads, followers, springs (most are Wolffe +10% or Bolen. They all run without fail when they are kept clean. Try them and if no issues full steam ahead. If you have issues then look at tuning them. If mine were not a gift I would never have bought any "tuned" mags. They all run fine in any of my 4 guns. Hope you are as happy with yours as I am mine. Seth
PV ain't kidding. He shows up to majors with enough mags that he NEVER cleans or reloads a mag during a match. NEVER..... (I know... rich people)

Seth
He's right. I've run his mags in my 5" with factory Speer lawman and they all ran flawlessly. And he's PV. He's right, just ask him!!!!

drysideshooter
At times I will have a mag that won't drop free as well as other mags. I measure a known good mag and compare the measurements. A gentle squeeze in a vice can do wonders to get a sticky mag dropping free.
