1911vm
Got my springs in today. Stupid question. Is carbine and mid length the same spring?
olp73
Never mind the barrel. It is the buffer that matters. Carbine buffer goes with carbine spring. There is no mid length buffer.
Pop N Fresh
have one on they way for a Maten build (waiting for the final boxes 'o parts), I believe that there was a removable piece to transition from carbine to rifle size. olp73, jp's spring system is self contained buffer/spring assembly that drops in and out without the retainer pin and spring. It's designed to run super quiet. http://www.jprifles.com/1.4.7.2_os.php Edited May 19, 2012 by Pop N Fresh

It is just a solid spacer that you can drop into the buffer tube or leave it out for carbine length. Loving mine, silence is golden.
DanL
I haven't heard a buffer spring twang since 1979 so while I like JP stuff I don't think I need one.
