blaster113
I'm going to start loading 9mm minor for my alloy frame P226 to shoot in Production. Just curious to see what everyone else is using in their Production P226's. From what I can find so far it seems Production shooters are about evenly split between 124/125 grain and 147 grain bullets. Wondering if the P226 shoots one better than the other or it don't matter. rack&roll
To be honest, mine shoots them about the same. I coincidentally, just got back from the range where I shot 60 rounds of each, and there was very little difference in accuracy or feel. I was shooting an all stainless steel P-226, however. Greg in VA
Several years ago I was shooting a stock 226 in 50 yard PPC, the load I was using was with 147 grain bullets. It would group inside the 10 ring of a standard B-27 target, 135's did well also, but the 124/125 bullets would not always stay inside the 10 ring. Out to 25 yards it did not matter which bullet I used.
Joe L
Out to 25 yards, I can't tell any difference in accuracy between 115 and 147. I personally just have a slight preference for the 147 in the SIG due to recoil feel, but I shoot both, depending on availability.
ProGunGuy
if you shoot indoors, you will appreciate the 147's and the less noise they make. Every time I am at a match,I can usually tell the shooter that use factory 115 due to the loudness of the shots.
DonovanM
I prefer 147's so I can use the top of the blade to aim, not the middle of the front sight like I did with 124's, or even lower with 115's. Since installing sights was such a pain in the ass I didn't like to bother with that either, or filing them to get the POI right.

JAFO
I'm using MG 124gr JHPs, but I've been tempted to try 147s. Just have to work through the 4k+ 124s I have first.
