Not sure if its right subforum to post,

but I want to know if I need to ship my pistol to gunsmith for repairs( gunsmith does have ffl license) does it have to be ffl to ffl, or myself to him directly?

Agreed. I found a local FFL that will ship my gun for $25. He can take it to the Post office and mail it cheap. I'm thinking it's pushing $70 to ship it overnight UPS?

what carrier allows shipping firearms?

UPS. I have used them. It's pretty easy. I took it in in the box and told them what it was. They may want to look at it but this was not the case for me. I wrapped it up and they scanned it in and I paid and off it went. It does have to go to an FFL though.

Yep, when I sent my last revo to Carmoney, it cost me $83...but I needed it done quickly so I didn't mind it. Normally, I would go through my FFL and it's only $15.

Also, there are only certain offices (FedEx and UPS) that accept firearms for delivery. Make sure to call ahead of time to ensure it is a major location that will ship it.

Go to gunbroker and find the ffl in your area page. put in your zip and it will find some close to you. I use john scott out of bolingbrook IL. Hes a great guy.

You can also go to budsgunshop.com. They have a list of FFL's as well. Bound to be somebody near by.
