My 1911 holster is a Comp-Tac, and I like it very much. I also have a number of Blade Techs, and those are fantastic as well. There are a number of choices for mag pouches. I have a set of the Uncle Mike's double pouches (cheap but they work) and CR Speed Versa Pouches (expensive to set up for 1911 - probably about $40/pouch). I like the CR Speeds very much, and they're very versatile if you want to shoot other divisions. But they've got a much higher initial setup price.

I normally carry 4 on my belt, one in the gun, and a spare in my back pocket. I don't think I've had to go for the spare (yet!)

I went with DAA belt/Low-Ride holster and 3 CR speed doubles.

I had to modify the holster to make it SSD compliant and the brackets for the mag carriers so that they would fit closer together. I can carry up to 6 mags but I most of the time I only use 4 on the belt + 1 barney.

I use a ready tactical holster from CPWSA, Mag pouches I like the cr speed with the SS spacer from Power Factor Shooting. I carry 5 mags on my belt with one to barny up with and another to start the stage with, min 7 mags.

I use an old Davis holster from the 70's and double leather mag pouches that I made myself. Most of the time I am carrying 6 mags. -- 4 in the pouches, one in the gun and the barney mag in my rear pocket. But if the stage calles for more than 24 rds. I may add a third mag pouch and hope that I won't be needing to use any from it as it is a long way around back there to get to them.
