Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. N-320 is my new favorite just because of how well it meters and good results when i chrono it.
  2. Clays, N-320 and Hp-38/231. In that order. Clsys has by far been my favorite.
  3. I just tested my 230gr Bayou bullets with Clsys this week in my Sti Spartan OAL 1.250 WLP 3.6gr of clays Avg of 20 =716 fps 3.8gr of clays Avg of 20 =745 fps SD=11 ES=38
  4. I just received my first order of 147gr Bayou bullets. I am needing a little advise on load data. I was planing on using N-320 and hp-38 as my back up. I will be shooting production in a Xdm 5.25 Thanks
  5. Cpa50h What mag release did your Xdm come with ? I have a stock 3.8 never had this problem. I also have a 5.25 from Canyon Creek Customs that has there extended mag release in it. But is only extended on the left side the right side is identical to being stock length maybe even a tad shorter.
  6. Welcome, Rio Salado is the place to be if your in the East Valley. They have an awesome trap and skeet range and weekly pistol competitions.
  7. I ordered 2 complete rigs one for production and ss. Should be here Monday I hope.
  8. +1 Winchester have been the best primer i have used.
  9. I tumble all my pistol brass with the primers still in. I have thought about trying ss media but the cost of a new tumbler and the extra time involved I don't see it being worth it to me. Yes your brass is super shiny but what is the benifits to super shiny brass. Tumbling with corn cob will give you some pretty good looking brass.
  10. Just received EGW u die installed it and no more bullet set back. Will have to test and see how if any change it has on my chrono results. Thanks Everyone for the help.
  11. Interesting I have been running them for a year now. But it could be my softer steel load as well. I had a 1/2 pound of Unique powder that has been in my safe for 2years and some 200gr bullets that I do not like. So I paired the two together to get rid if them. Could not justify using good powder or good bullets to us them up so they would have sat forever. Thanks guy will try stretching them out to see if it helps. $8 a spring is not bad but when you multiply it by 7 it gets a little pricy.
  12. Bullet set back can happen after only one chambering that is what is happening with my 1911. It changes the pressure and can cause inconsistency in your load. My OCD want the least amount possible so if the EGW udie will make it go away then thats what I will try. It should be here tomorrow I will try it out and let you now what i think. I use mixed brass from a indoor range so all different head stamps which can have different case thickness. My 9mm for my Xdm have zero set back so more than one thing can cause bullet set back but it seams to all come back to neck tension on the bullet.
  13. I have both right now but switching the new xdm to green
  14. It's just the newer version.
  15. I have been running this for about a year. They have been great. Probably better new springs.
