Joe4d Posted September 8, 2011 Share Posted September 8, 2011 The compensator compensates, it doesnt have anything to do with making the bulet go faster, a 9mm major load in a comped gun will most likely make 165+ power factor in a standard 9mm 5" gun, It wouldnt do you any good though. gm iprod Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 IPSC Std Division minimum is USUALLY 40cal. It has exceptions, 357SIG! Used to also include 357Magnum, but appears to have been changed and or lapsed. Someone will know for certain. But for the purposes of this arguemnet your are correct. Anyways, I made major in my NRA AP Metallic gun (38Super) one day when I made up a bunch of loads for giggles, none were forthcoming, they belted like hell.
