treefarmer
Greetings shooters, have had my M & P a few months now, i really like it. But my eyes are not as young as they used to be, so trying to come up with a solution for a better sight picture. I still have the stock sights on it, i have been browsing the forum here reading all i can from other members. I was wondering about a wider notch on the rear sight, would that help acquire the front sight quicker? Has anyone tried that approach? Thanks in advance for the help. waktasz
I like a .100 front sight along with the Dawsom rear sight (not sure of the width of the notch). Having more light on each side of the front post helped me. Widening the rear would accomplish the same goal.

Bill40718
+1 to Waktasz's comment. The Dawson adjustable rear is .125 or very close to that. My eyes are going on 71 years and this is the best combination I've found. Bill
strangedays
I run the Dan Burwell rear sight on my competition gun. Works great for picking up the FO front post.
onerock45
I really like the Warren tactical myself. It has a .145 notch rear and the rounded bottom of the notch seems to be quicker. I then run a .125 FO front. I like these better than Novak's, Heine's, Bomar's or Dawson's (not all on M&Ps). Bob
Mustang684
I use the Warren tacticals on my M&P and Glock 35. That wide rear notch really helps out given I can barely see the front sight now.
