Pro2AInPA
I'm looking at a used TA11 ACOG w/LaRue mount. The scope is about 7 years old and the tritium is just about dead. This does not matter to me at all, however, since I'll be using the scope for 3 gun and the fiber optics work fine. Seller is asking $700 with the mount. Glass is perfect. Is this as good a deal as I think?
bigbrowndog
yes but make sure its authentic, and not a forgery trapr
Stlhead
If you decide to pass on it drop me a line, I have a Buddy who needs one. I would buy it if I where you. Good luck
Pro2AInPA
Thanks guys. Still a bit torn between this and a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x, which after adding a quality mount would be just about the same amount of $
outerlimits
Shoot a TA11 once and you'll forget about a 1x4.
Alaskapopo
You can find good deals on used ACOGs and other optics on the ar15.com equipment exchange. The TA11 is the best of the ACOGS from what I have seen. It has nice glass and with the horseshoe reticle its perfect. But I still prefer my Swarovski Z6i. I find it easier to shoot 1x up close and 6x is nice on the longer stuff. Here is the link. http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=7&f=23 Just watch it for a TA11. I have seen them as low as 900. Garandad
I paid $900 for mine used w/ Larue mount and do not regret it one bit. Great optic.
leroygoldberg
thats as good a price as your likely to find. I got my ta31 from 4 scopes.com for under $900. but that was 5 or 6 years ago, i doubt they will ever be that cheap again. get it while u can. norbs007
Good price, you can always send it to Trijicon to make like new.
whistlepig
I haven't priced anything recently, but I have two ACOGs and they are tough tough tough. If you do decide to go that route, the tritium is replaceable at the factory. Beware foreign copies!!
davidwiz
Hmmm. The half-life of tritium is a little past 12 yrs, don't know why it would be going dark after 7. For new tritium ACOGs, Trijicon warrants the tritium to 15 years for scopes with the fiber optic, 10yrs w/o.
Alaskapopo
Thanks guys. Still a bit torn between this and a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x, which after adding a quality mount would be just about the same amount of $ Get the ACOG as you can always get your money back out of it at that price. Kyle Nguyen
That's a good deal. I paid 800 for my TA11 about 2 months ago.
