Will a Blade Tech DOH made for an XDM 40 work with an XD 40 Tactical?

My XDM works in the Bladetech for the XD Tactical. Guessing if the holster is designed for the M then the holster might be .5" too short for the XD40 tactical. Still should work-just a little barrel hanging out shouldn't matter.

I believe they are built on the same frame. The only differences between the xd and xdm are pretty much internal except for the exchangeable grips so it should work

while I can't comment on the Blade Tech, I can offer some of my own experience.

I have a Blackhawk Serpa holster. The XD subcompact, XDm, and regular XD all fit into the Blackhawk perfectly. This makes me think that the frame dimensions are identical regarding holsters.

Short answer...YES!

I shoot both and both guns fit in both holsters.

An xdm9 will not work in a xd9 holster but an xd will work in a xdm holster. The slide notch or step on the xd compared to the taper on the xdm is the issue.

yes castman1911 hit the nail on the head! My M will not fit in a regular XD holster.
