Forrest Halley
I recently came into a quantity of mixed 7.62 NATO brass. A large part of it has two smaller flash holes in the primer pocket instead of the one I am accustomed to. I am assuming I cannot reload this, but I figured I would check with the wisdom of the forum first. Can I do anything reasonable to use this brass again or is it to be scrapped/trashed? Thanks. Corey
thats Berdan primed brass and is a pain the you-know-what. Give it a healthy toss into the trash.

Thanks I was thinking that, but the 1994 headstamps caused me to hesitate.
twodownzero
Trash for sure. It's such a shame that so much 7.62x51 is Berdan.
Dan Sierpina
Thanks I was thinking that, but the 1994 headstamps caused me to hesitate. Berdan primed brass not only has the two flash holes, an integral anvil in the primer pocket, but, the primers are different diameters than Boxer primed brass. The scrap bucket is the best place for them. Edited May 30, 2010 by Dan Sierpina
Trebor Snave
If you haven't trashed it, I have a use for it! I'll pay postage.
Forrest Halley
Sorry for the late reply. Brass had been scrapped by then.
