I'm not allowed to carry on my job but I'm not unarmed.
BSeevers
What's the big deal. NYC is one of the safest areas in the US. Just ask the people in charge.
-JQ-
Maybe not having the extra weight will help me run faster. FWIW - I've never had any issues in NYC but I tend to stay out of "those" places anyway. This time is will be more sightseeing/touristy than my past trips but really don't "expect" any trouble. I just like things that go BANG if things did go awry.
Johann the Horrible
The problem normally is not knowing that this is one of "those" places.
Airedale
Joel, You'll need to polish up on your unarmed combat training. Here's who I use. Dave http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuigcXvcy1A
addicted
NYC really isn't that bad. If you are staying close to the touristy areas, just keep your wallet in your front pocket
SkyScrapin
I don't like being unarmed, so I took a few lessons from a Youtube video. Hope it helps! I tried to embed it so hopefully it works. Preston Edit because embedding didn't work... Edited March 29, 2010 by SkyScrapin

Dan Hefta
I hear you about not packing, I allways feel naked without my trusty G27. I am a pretty big guy and I never get messed with but it only takes that one time...I hope that one time never happens.
