Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I agree. I coach my boys hockey team(9 and 10), and run across the same thing. I think a lot of coaches are too centered on themselves, and not the kids. I'm not going to lie, I get upset when we lose, but its because I feel like I let the kids down. It's my job to teach them the skills to win, and win with dignity, and respect of the game. All you can do, is be a good coach, and hope others will do the same.
  2. Just because I shoot like a rookie, doesn't mean I'm a new shooter! It was a great match, and our squad was lucky enough to have 3 great RO's. Thanks to Ken and Larry, and all the RO's for everything they've done to make this match happen. And, thanks to all the awesome sponsors, that step up, match after match.

    Mags Sticking

If they are just a little "sticky" or need a shake to get them out, try taking an Armor All wipe, and wipe the inside of the mag well with it. If its really bad, wipe the mags down lightly too. Just be sure to wipe the mags off with a dry towel before you shoot a match! I keep a bottle of the wipes in my range bag just for that reason. I suppose, if I EVER cleaned a mag, I wouldn't need the wipes. But, it's a Glock, it'll run.
  4. Mine dropped right in, on my M1. I sent him the whole gun, for my M2. But, he did a lot of other mods on it, as well. NEVER had any problems with either of them, except for maybe missing once in awhile. But that's not Jeff's fault! Shoot it with confidence. As far as grinding the well, that's personal preference, as to how far to go with it. Just don't go too far- its easier to take more off, than it is to put it back on.
  5. Looks like we have a new Match Director for 2013 !!! Good Luck Blaster. Match director for any match is a tall order for mere mortals, so I'm sure if he just handled building the safe areas, loading areas, and volunteered as an RO that would be a great help. Blaster, I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the match, free food and free beer as much as I did. I had a great time at Rockcastle with a LARGE group friends and fellow shooters. Now Now, let's not be overly judgemental. There are those that can be put off by free food, beer, eating outdoors, and the hospitalty or Rockcastle..it must irritate their manginas or something, I can't say for sure. Brian, I heard there's good frog hunting down that way too! The reason for stayin away from moonshine is that I woke up the next morning and was seriuosly dismayed that I had a recollection of possibly going frog giggin with a surpresses M&P .22 that night in the pond on top of the hill. When I came to my senses I rationalized that I could not have possibly shot frogs with a .22 handgun that night. Because, ever since I was a kid I only use a .308 or larger to shoot frogs...them suckers will turn on you if they get cornered. That, right there, was some funny shiiii, I mean stuff. Would've fit right in there with the "Beastie Boys" and your "parachute" pants.

  8. Have you met her dad? hahahahahaha!!!!!! I try to keep it clean!!! Stage 6 would make anyone cuss!!!!! Katie did a great job, and you should be very proud of her. Her mom has taught her well!
  9. Well put. But I do have one question Kurt- is steel core ammo OK? Sorry, I couldn't resist! I had a great time, and thank you to everyone involved.
  10. Might want to double check the round count. None of the stage totals add up to the match totals.
  11. Chad, are you STILL trying to tell the new guys, that they have to bring enough booze for everyone?
