  1. I like it but it is a pain to sort them out. It keeps my primer inventory and press changeovers simple.
  2. I have some. I pm'd you.
  3. Not much. If your shooting full power defensive stuff you will feel a difference but the gun will be fine.
  4. I have done it on bullseye loads and it helped a lot with accuracy, BUT, the brass I was using was mixed and fired a bunch of times. The lengths were all over the place causing inconsistent crimps. If all your brass is the same length it's an epic waste of time to trim them.
  5. every time i see 9mm 115's in stock they only have 1000 count. is it just that the cases are selling out so fast or am i missing something?
  6. That's the military crimp. The super swage or a 1050 will correct it.
  7. I got a bunch of miscellaneous 1050 parts/accessories at about 7 weeks after placing my order, still waiting on the press. As far as fedex I do like that they deliver on Saterday... yeah, except when the tracking shows that its on the truck for delivery on Saturday and the guy never stops to deliver it! my girlfriend was home all day and had no idea that they were there. no attempted delivery tag either. tracking was updated saying that no one was home. Maybe its just my area, but in my experience FedEx for anything other than overnight is an insult to customers.
  8. ordered some bullets and machine parts 1/31. they shipped 3/25, and Dillon really needs to stop using that miserable fedex home delivery for shipping. Carrier pigeons would work better.
  9. Hi guys, While i'm waiting for nics to clean here in wornderful NJ( been averaging 7-10 days from what I hear), i want to get a FO front sight ordered for my new gun. Its a full size Springfield 1911A1 stainless in 9mm. Also any recommendations on a good small diameter FO front sight would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Another +1 on the z axis dro. It's one of those things that you won't think you need until you use a mill with one.
  11. I've noticed that when the brass is fired a bunch of times and its length changes, that makes a huge difference in accuracy because it affects the crimp. Head stamp really doesn't mater, but the consistency of the case length does. for me anyway.
  12. thanks guys. I looked high and low but came up short. I ended up buying a Dayton gearmotor off ebay for less than $100. Part #4z134 90v dc 18 rpm 150 in/lb torque. It works well. Hardest part was figuring out the linkage geometry I also extended the crankshaft and added another support bearing, and added set screws to eliminate the play in the key that links the 2 pieces of the crankshaft. Base is 1/2 steel. Clutch is from McMaster.
  13. Probably a pretty old one but may still help you. Sorry the pics upside down. Phone camera...
  14. Depending on what your doing with it I'd recommend a mossberg MVP. I have one and love it. If you can find one the price is very good and mine shoots less than an inch with bulk 55 gr blasting ammo.
  15. I made my own auto drive and noticed the same thing with the swaging. Trim length was fine. The swage backup rod adjustment is critical, and if you look close you can see the crankshaft is short stroking and not hitting the stop on the bottom of the stroke. The shellplate is all the way up but the swager needs the extra few degrees of rotation top fully cam over. On my press there was also alot of play in the key that links the 2 pieces of the crankshaft. I added some set screws to eliminate that and it seemed to help, but in the end i just set the swage rod a little higher and ended up with acceptable, but not perfectly swaged pockets.
  16. As i understand it it becomes the FFL's responsibility to "neuter" it if need be to make it state compliant before the FFL transfers it to the buyer. collapsible stock would need to be pinned 10 rnd mags no flash hider comp or brake must be permanently attached (welded) bayonet lug removed
  17. tighten the clutch, and make sure you didn't loose the roll pin that drives the plate. I can run mine with brass spilling out out the top. that's when I know I have too much in there.
  18. I like 231 for 45 and 9mm. I don't load 40 so cant help you there.
  19. are you belling the cases enough? Maybe add a little more by lowering the powder measure. I have only used dillon dies and with them even if the bullet is almost sideways they come out OK. Maybe the seating die has some junk in it?
  20. So whats the latest shipped cost for 2? does this replace the Dillon part or attach to it?
  21. Could be the primers are soft and causing slam fires. Happens to my buddies ar alot. Switched to the mil spec cci primers and no more issues.
