I just pick-up up a Remington 11-87. I need to put a +4 mag extension on it for uspsa. After looking around I see that Chaote, Nordico Components and Briley seem to be the top 3 brands. The Noric and Briley both cost about $80 but the Choate is only $45 or so and comes with a barrel clamp. Is there a big difference in all these extensions or am I just paying for the name? I like quality products and I'm willing to spend the cash to get reliability, If its justified... Is there something wrong or "cheap" about choate???

The .300 gives you more of and adjustment range then the 285 when used wit an adjustable rear sight. However in some holsters such as a forbus or other similar holdsters used for production or IDPA .300 will rub , so some people prefer to used the .285 sacrificeing adjustment range to gain a smoothe draw. If you are using a .300 with an enclosed holders you can file out the inside where the front sight rubs (if it rubs). If you are using a race holster like the cr speed or ghost then front sight rubbing is not an issue, therfore the .300 is a better choice. As for width that depends on what you want your sight picture to look like. I prefer to see a little bit of light (the targert) on either side of the front sight so I use the .300 by .100 If you rather see a all sights like the stock sight picture then go with the thicker .125 front sight. hope this answers your question P.Clark A-57508

Thanks for the help guys. I will be shooting uspsa 3 gun. I don't necessarily need the cheapest fix or gear. I like nice things as long as they are reasonably priced. Which is why I'm building up my own 11-87 and not ordering one from JP. is the EZ loader a particular one or just a general reference to the type of part. on that note... Do you guys like the arredondo speed loader assist?

Hello all. Im going to be buying a almost new 11-87 premier from a friend. (Hes giving me a really good deal on it.) I want to set it up for Standard Div. 3 gun. What do you recommend / prefer. in terms of parts and mods? I already tried searching but it came up relatively dry. the topic of shotguns doesn't seems to be as covered as everything else. Thanks in advance!

Update: I finally ordered and recived my super heave magwell for my G35. When I called dawson they were sold out of the heavy magwells haveing only the super heavy instock, made my final decision very easy. I havent had a chance to shoot it yet waiting for weekend to come around. but it feels nice. I also have the Tungsen rod guide, with the magwell the gun feels very solid and balanced.

Mine came with a crush washer which is good for 1.5 rotations after snug. Thanks!

Sorry to hijack your thread but.. I just baught the benny comp from JPrifles. What kind of washer does that come with? There were only two parts in the kit the comp and a washer of some kind. When i hand tighten it it gets to about the 2'clock position. almost perfect.

love my 35. And YES I reload.
-
Not on mine. I even shaved off a little more of my trigger saftey then glockworx did. So I cant feel it at all when pulling trigger. about 500 rounds so far, no problems.
-
You should be fine. I shot about 2000 rounds of master blaster through my G35 when I first started upsa. The main reason I stopped useing lead was due to the smoke cloud that it made during long arrays. I made it almost impossible to see the targets.

I just got my glockworx LvL 3 today. My trigger safety was cut smoothe but not entirly flush with the trigger. Nothing an exacto blade couldnt take care of though.

I dont know if it was an act of god but i bet he was cursing gods name when it happend. On that thought mabe it was an act of god. -
I think it was Matt Burkett that said. "Pretty guns don't win tournaments." Don't worry about a little carbon on your comp. What did you expect to happen? Just shoot it and do some basic cleaning to keep the gun cycling.

Hi, I purchased a glock 35 for USPSA L10. Iv been shooting it for about 9 months. currently D class. Iv added dawson sights, t.h.e. Tungson rode guide with 15lbs spring. Now im looking for a good after market trigger. I cant decide between the vanek and the glock works triggers. Looking for suggestions and opinion. They are both about the same price. Thanks. P.Clark

180g rainer cmj - 4.6g tightgroup - 1.130 oal. makes major in my stock glock 35.
-
Or you could reload which would save you money and allow you to shoot dummed down .40 s&w load with a power factor just high enough to make major... +1 on BLACK DP sights NOT the F/O.
-
Do any of you have a load for MasterBlaster .40sw 180G w/ titegroup. I use a OAL of 1.130 The rounds will be shot in L10 major through a glock 35.
-
have any of you tried the super heavy black 6.7oz? I am trying to decide if i want that 6.7oz or the 5.5 for small fram glock. 35 major to be specific.

I had powder leak from the powder measure, when the slide went back and fourth on my 650. I was using bullseye powder and the flakes were just too small and flat. I have also used vihita viouri and titegroup with no powder leak/ spill problems.
-
I just went through 1lb of Bullseye. Loading .40 180g polymar coated lead, with 5.2g of bullseye. It was smoky. I wont be buying bullseys again. my next power venture is with titegroup.
