  1. Frank has not totally dropped IDPA affiliation. We still have 2 "official" IDPA matches a month. The Cup is just not a sanctioned match this year. The shooter rules will be pretty much IDPA. There will just be a little common sense flexibility in stage design, etc. It may be the best Cup yet.
  2. Yellowfin, any problem with barrel fouling with the blue bullets and Titegroup? I tried Tiegroup with a moly bullet once and it coated the bore something terrible.

    SP baseplates

    Thanks, just placed order.

    SP baseplates

Worth the money to replace the pads on 18 rounders?

    SP baseplates

Have any of you used the Springer Precision base plates?

    4# Striker spring

Will a 4# striker spring in a Gen 4 34 fire Winchester primers reliably?
  7. Assuming the rumors are true and IDPA will reduce the pf in ESR to 150, or 155, have any of you experimented with clays and 230g to get this pf?

    CZ Accu Shadow

Also, IDPA has deemed them useless for IDPA.

    VP9 loads

Has anyone tried light loads(125-135pf) in a VP9 yet?
  10. Single Stack, I agree that is the way it should work, but look at all the good suggestions that were made when it was opened up for members a while back. Out of all those suggestions, the only changes seem to be getting rid of the flat footed reload and maybe a new division. I hope I'm wrong, but I really don't think they care what most of us think.
  11. Jim, let's say sensible restrictions. We are allowed to shoot Glocks with $100+ trigger jobs down to 2# but disallow the Target because CZ custom milled the slide for a common LPA sight BEFORE the gun was sold by CZUSA, or not allow you to file/sand the sharp edges off an extended mag release on a Glock because it's visible. Makes no sense to me.
  12. There were a lot of good suggestions made from members, including unreasonable restrictions for SSP, such as this one. HQ has a chance to finally "fix" things with the new rule book. Let's hope they do more than remove the flat footed reload.
  13. True, I had emailed Robert earlier for a clarification and received my reply today. It's due to the milling for the sight and he affirmed that it's illegal for ESP because of the full length dust cover.
  14. +1 on the holster wear. USPSA and/or IDPA do great holster wear and fun too.
  15. Because no one ever had their carry gun milled for Novaks or something like that......that's crazy talk its called STOCK Service Pistol. If you want to go modify your gun go play in ESP I didn't modify it. It is exactly as it came out of the box as purchased from a CZUSA dealer. The modification was farmed out by CZUSA and is only sold by CZUSA. It is STOCK.
  16. Pete, I started after the 2005 rule book was out also, but from talking to some who were in from the start, going back to the original rule book would "fix" a lot of the problems we have to deal with now. It could make our game fun again.
  17. I'm afraid I fall into both categories. I have a Shadow Target and a 625 PC. As you say, that list may grow. The way it's headed, there are two kinds of members, those that have been affected by HQ's actions and those that will be.Giving us a "cookie" like removing the flat footed reload to give the illusion that they are really listening to the members is only a very small start, but if you read the suggestions submitted, there were many good suggestions that were obviously ignored.
  18. I think their "don't like our rules, don't play our game" attitude may come back to haunt them.
  19. My last on this. Note that CZ Custom states that the Shadow Target must be bought through CZ USA and their dealers, not CZ Custom. Wilson states that their Beretta is exclusive to Wilson Combat and their Premier dealers.
  20. I just found my 2005 rulebook. The part about not milling the slide to accept another sight is not in there. Any reasonable equipment check officer would have just called the Shadow Target as having another notch and post sight. The timing of the present rule book and the Wilson Beretta sure seems to reinforce Rowdy's comment. HQ, we know you read these things. Can you prove us wrong?
  21. Like jcc7x7 says, just like Washington, even lobbyists.
