  1. An average shooting is 3.7 rounds.......an average gunfight usually expends what the gun has in the magazine. But hey....if you're comfortable with 11 rounds.....roll with it. I carry my safety and protection a little further than most. but thats just me.
  2. Thinnest night sight you are gonna find is a .125". Dawson has them and so does Warren.
  3. I posted a thread a few pages back here for the SX3 which is the identical receiver as the SLP. I welded my lifter and milled the load port. You cant get your thumb stuck now.
  4. Food for thought. I used to shoot red and green FO. Green washed out too easily for me and red was too overpowering. So I went to black. Big improvement but there were times on speed shoots where I just didn't pick up the sight the way I wanted to. ima45dv8 sent me a link to a fiber optic supply house and I bought a variety pack of fiber for bow sights in 1mm/.040". It came with 1 foot of each: red, orange, purple, yellow and green for like $16. The purple was like a very light violet. It worked really good for indoor shooting but had a weird contrast for outdoors unless the sun was extremely bright. I then tried orange. I have been shooting orange for about 1 1/2 years now if that tells you anything. Its not to overpowering and it does not wash out. It is just enough color to draw the sight to my eyes and it still leaves the crisp outline of the front sight. For me....it was the ticket. Might be worth a try for some of y'all. Just wanted to throw this out there.
  5. Thanks for taking the time to fill us in on the fine details Bob.....I myself was unaware of the differences of your kit. Good info to know and it will help straighten out the misinformation that sometimes gets spread on the errornet.
  6. I recommend getting the Dawson .125x.265 tall target front and filing to the width you desire and then installing and filing for your POI and then adding a little cold blue to treat the raw surface. That is what I would do if I were running fixed sights. I actually just installed a set of the Dawson adjustables about 15 minutes ago. I really like the sight picture of the .100x.265" front. The rear notch is .115". On my competition guns....I prefer an adjustable sight. Carry guns get the Warren plain rear and tritium white outline front. Sounds like you may have gotten the wrong front sight with your Sevignys for your Glock. There is a .215" tall that gives dead on hold POI and a .245 tall for those that prefer the 6:00 hold. Is your front sight the .245" by any chance?
  7. I have seen you post this several times and it is incorrect information you are spreading. If you had ever actually looked closely at one of out trigger kits you would realize it. I'm curious to know the difference? Please tell?
  8. Hey Ben.....what kind of malfunctions is the pizza cutter experiencing?
  9. I'd go with a .180 tall front for the 9L. Just a suggestion. Good catch....I did not notice he was talking about the longer M&P. Standard M&P's use the .160" Also....FYI.....black nylon broom bristles work well to black out a fiber optic sight
  10. There are just as many options available as there are for the Glock. Warren makes the Sevigny and Warren rears for the M&P. CPWSA stocks them. You can couple that with a .160" tall front sight from Dawson or Speed Shooter Specialties. Dawson does make a .100 and .125 x.265" tall black target front. You can file it to the desired height you want. And I'd be willing to bet that Kenny could cut you a target front to your specified height but you would be limited to .100" wide as that is the widest blanks he has.
  11. This thread has reached the end of its intended road and is closed as requested.
  12. Ok....port arms start. Shoot 1 load 4 and shoot 1-weak hand load dismounting shotgun from shoulder. Pepper Poppers at 15 yards. Averaged about 4.7 seconds. From low ready averaged about 4.2
  13. I got my response of notification to include in meeting agenda: To allow non magnified red dot type optics on rifles in Limited for multigun and 3 gun tournaments
  14. I think its a great platform if it holds enough bullets. The 1911 is too capacity stricken for my taste to use as a working gun. I want lots of bullets. I carried an STI VIP(3.9") in 9mm for about 2 years. It made for a good carry gun with a great capacity but it did not have a rail. I persoanlly think i would have preferred the 4.15 Tactical better than the VIP.
  15. Shannon has had a great year Boyz got mad skillz
  16. Bravo Company is top notch gear. I'd easily classifiy it with the tier 1 stuff. I've been in a few training classes with the owner Paul Buffoni. He is a stickler for perfection and will not accept mediocrity in the gear he sells. He is not afraid to send sub par stuff back to his contractors and does moreso than not. I've had two of his uppers and several of his bolt carrier groups. They have all operated flawlessly and saw many rounds and at good prices. Buy from Bravo Company with extreme confidence.
  17. Very Awesome!!! I'm kinda thinking we might should call you Papi of Francisco rather than call him Son of Nemo. Awww what the hey......y'all are both awesome. Way to go Francisco You worked hard to get there and did good work once you got there.
  18. Just got word that James Wesley,Rawles wife has passed away.
  19. I tried the Wilson and Chip Power mags in mine and had at least one failure per mag so I ended up getting the 40 cal Tripp mags. That was a mistake because I could not run my Limited ammo loaded to 1.190" in them. Max in the 40 cal mag was 1.150" due to the spacer. But the Tripp 40's did run flawless. So then I bought some Metalform 10mm mags and they ran great. I see alot of guys running the 47d mags in their 40's with no problems though. Just did not work in my gun.
  20. Yep.....happened to me before. I was told I was crazy.....that impact would not change with a gas adjustment. I knew it was the reason. It makes sense to me that impact could change with adjustment.
  21. I'd shoot 40 in ESP and in USPSA single stack. Load the 40 minor for ESP. ESP can be a tough division. I'm with you....I wish 40 was allowed in CDP,but I don't ever see that changing for the reasons Duane stated....plus....they already have ESP for other calibers than 45 to play. When I shoot IDPA...I used to shoot ESP although I really wanted to shoot SSP. But....I used the same gun I shoot in USPSA Production and I had stippled my grip. So.....I fell into ESP. There have been a couple of times I would have won SSP by a longshot but placed as far down as fourth overall in ESP. Now I am shooting an M&P Pro which should allow me to compete in Production and SSP. But......shooting 40 minor is fun. I actually prefer it to 9mm.....plus you get the bigger holes.
  22. Don't work on it too hard. You won't be able to do it in a match with a 2011. Hammer will have to be down..........Most stage designers are going to say gun unloaded, slide forward and hammer down. Flyin Rob has been able to do it with my STI sighttracker variant. It has a 14# recoil spring and 17# mainspring. He has done it with the hammer down both left and right handed. So it can be done. He said it depends heavily on the lockup of the gun. He cannot do it with his STI Legacy singlestack. It really just depends on the gun inquestion. He was doing it with a Bedell open gun too.
  23. There were two other GM's shooting and his time was a full second and a half faster. He was able to grab the ammo can and gun at the same time and get moving as if the gun were loaded. Its not going to be a huge advantage all the time. It just so happened that this stage played to his advantage with the technique. He has been waiting for a stage such as this to be able to exploit it and see how it worked and it worked out quite well. And the stage you are seeing is a reshoot. It worked perfectly the time prior as well. As Jake stated.....in this case when the other hand was occupied.....it became an advantage. Its all about match points.
  24. I figured I would throw my version of the in here too. Rob saw the video of the Phillipine guy on Youtube that was circulating. At the end...the Phillipine guy says..."Ony in the Phillipines" Well Rob just couldn't have that so he figured out how to do it and did it in a match. Ninjer Style
