  1. Sorry, the Team S&W shirts produced by Techwear are not available to the general public. Sue
  2. So, speaking of DQs, Jeff, do you know who your RO will be next Friday? Dear Inferior Woman, Hast thou forgotten thy place? I shall bring thee a stool to perch thyself on whilst you giveth me my foot massage between stages. Jeff Damn...I'm gonna need some Nomex and Kevlar for the sectional now!!! Jeff, do you know what this is?

  4. Strange stuff. I've had no lapse in my membership. I joined 6 months after the rest of my family and I voted in the presidential election.
  5. Your right, special thanks to Steve and Sue Irish for all their help. Oh I see how it is!!!! All we told him is that there's beer in Michigan. Sue and Steve
  6. Are they not sending ballots to every current member in Area 5 for this election? My husband and daughter have already sent their's back and I have yet to receive one. Sue
  7. I shoot a 4-inch Performance Center 686 38-Super that I put .356 bullets loaded in 9x19 cases through. The moonclips work very well. Even though the moonclips for it cost more than similar moonclips for a .45, I just take care of them and after every stage, I make sure that I haven't lost one. What you spend on some moonclips, you make up for in much cheaper bullets than .45. I tried a .45 in a 4-inch 625 at a major match last fall and the thing beat my hand up by the end of the match. Since I was accustomed to a 9mm open gun, over the winter we got the 686 ready and that's what I've been using this year. I was also fortunate to win a 6-inch 686 .357 that we are currently converting to 9x23 so I can shoot 9x19s in it for use in my USPSA matches. Using the 686 has piqued my interest in shooting revolver. If I was still having to resort to the 625, I would likely be shooting my open gun more. I like the Hearthco moonclips, but they require Federal or Remington brass. Sue
  8. I went from shooting Open (major) to Revo (minor) this year mainly due to squadding with a group of fun and supportive revo characters at the Ohio Sec match last year (switching from open to revo just days before that match). Even though I'm still learning and practicing the new skills required to be competitive in revo, there is one big thing I learned from my Summer Blast match. That is: Ladies, don't disable your ol' man's reloading equipment days before a big match and depend on factory loads in a quick pinch. The Revolver Division is full of great folks. Glad I was able to help them out in the end. Sue
  9. Congrats Cliff and all the other class winners. It was good to meet those we hadn't met before. Glad I was able to pull through to get the required 20 shooters for Nats slots. See you again on the range...Sue and Steve I'd throw some beers on here, but that's a tall order...something along the line of needing a semi trailer. Cheers
  10. Thanks for the kind comments everyone!!! Missing minor was quite a crushing blow and messed my confidence up for the rest of the day. But, as always, I had a blast. And what the heck, I sure needed the practice I got by continuing to shoot. Resorting to factory ammo was entirely my fault for breaking a part on the press during the week. The new part didn't arrive in time to make up what I needed. We were sure the calculations for the ammo we bought would be fine for making minor. Amazing the difference that resulted at Chrono. I'd like to say "any time, guys" but I really don't like seeing the letters D and Q next to my name, so I think next time I'll just attend and shoot to compete like the rest of you even if that means making my ammo up months ahead of time. I'd like to congratulate our daughter for doing so well. She always makes us proud and is an amazing young lady. Steve also had a very good day of shooting and only lost concentration on his last stage. A great big thanks to everyone who put together and worked the match from all 3 of us! You are very much appreciated. Imagine being applauded for DQing...what a feeling! Sue
  11. The Raccoon Hunters match scheduled for this Sunday, June 29th, has been cancelled due to berm improvements which won't be completed in time. There will be a regularly scheduled match in July.
  12. Way to go, Pat!!! Steve and Sue
  13. AWESOME JOB, SARAH!!! 4th overall and 2nd open at 99.52% Sue and Steve
  14. Chris, I hope that's a root beer you're toasting her with and not a Bud
  15. Congratulations on a great match!! Steve and Sue
  16. Yes, nicely written article, but I'm pretty sure I use clips in my gun. That's what my husband calls them. Sue
  17. All 3 of us enjoyed the match very much. Many thanks to all the kind staff for a job well done. And thanks Alan for the pic in the USPSA photo gallery. Steve, Sue and Sarah
  18. Sarah attended Kay and Jerry's junior camp two years ago, and with many thanks to Gary Stevens and Manny Bragg, she'll be returning next month to learn more.
  19. She is 15 and has been shooting an open gun for about 2 years.
  20. Couldn't be prouder...thanks Sue
  21. Raccoon Hunters is hosting its first match of the season this Sunday, April 27th. There will be 8 stages. Signup begins at 9 with shooting starting at 10. Also, in May (4th Sunday) there will be a classifier match for those interested in getting their initial classification, advancing, or classifying in a different division. Raccoon Hunters is in Romulus, MI.
  22. So is that Sue that is 50? Or should we just assume that it's the combined age so if Sarah is 16, Sue would only be 34!!! Sarah's 15, but I'll take your math anyway Matt---thanks Now if the snow would leave the forecast for the match tomorrow, it'll be a super weekend. Thanks everyone. Sue
  23. Thought I'd bring this back up for anyone who may be interested. Although the wheelgunners logo is not mentioned on the Techwear web site, you can just mention it when ordering. Sue
  24. Oh man, I guess that OTHER MR STEVENS will be disappointed his car doesn't arrive on time.
  25. Gary----good news, your car will be dropped off here this afternoon. I stopped by the plant this morning. There was this sweet Mustang laying some serious rubber in the lot. They said they'd replace the tires before their shift ends today and then they'll drop it off. I'll be sure to thank them for the tires. Can't have our 15-year-old driving around on raining days on bald tires. You want Steve to drive it to Single Stack Nationals to hand it over, right? No, wait, maybe that's Summer Blast....Revo/Limited Nats? hmmm...
