You are correct , but my response is after they have impugned us through email, not try to insult you but any barrel maker will tell it either shoots or it doesn’t, when doesn’t there are things you can do to repair it , clean out a burr or recrown . It’s just not possible that 3 guys could have the same results and there be nothing wrong with the barrel . That what I believe they did , but it doesn’t matter to me anymore we will test when I get mybarrel back if it shoots I will sell it if it doesn’t I lost $ 300 .

Another case when I should have listened to my son, he has the experience and the skill I am just having fun, well at least once this nightmare is over .

I was trying to get the gun a little lighter, should have just went hand guard but I love the JP knurled guard feels so good . hindsight always better then foresight .

It’s always been for those with the bad shooting barrels that they would take the barrels back and test them and then there would be conversation , what your set up , and so forth, it didn’t happen. There stance was barrel 100% send us your gun, so we can fixt what’s wrong with your platform,if they just had someone with people skills that was willing to talk on the phone in a reasonable way . The whole thing could have been avoided . And it was another poster who brought up maybe they fudged there testing, not one of us 3 . They insinuating is what got me riddled up . The whole beauty of the AR platform is the plug and play, and so 2 of us reinstalled our original barrel both guns different mine a JP the other custom build and they both shoot great again. It’s not like there’s multiple ways you can put the barrel in. Again good customer service is how you Handel the difficult stuff. JP says if your not happy I am not happy, this is how customer service should work !!!!

You are correct email from them to all of the people with the problem barrels, its a shame , and if you were any of the 3 that shot the barrels and had almost the same results you would probably feel a little different, they could of handle it much different. And made current customers happy and by doing so picked up more customers.

It’s clear they found a burr or something in the barrel removed it and the barrel now shoots good, or maybe you believe that 3 people could come up with the same results and all be wrong. You decide just remember they were not concerned with what we shot or anything . If there was nothing wrong why are they now testing every barrel ,because we were not the first ones to let them know they couldn’t get the barrel to group. So based on the way we were all treated you decide if it makes sense to risk it. All Adrian wanted to say over and over is we need to test your gun which has nothing wrong with it , and because I would not send him my gun that works fine he became hostile. As someone else posted customer service is how you Handel the problems not the easy stuff. Hey this is Adrian we couldn’t find any problem with your barrel what would like to do , we can send it back , send you the midweight or give you a refund your choice. CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT WINS. What he did imply that we did something wrong,can’t shoot . And try to make us the bad GUYS.

I have a JP upper it’s great , I just wish it was 14.5 like my PCC , it’s actually heavier then the PCC have been thinking of seeing if they would do a 14.5 pinned and welded for that very reason .

Since they are selling the barrels to anyone , why wouldn’t you use a mil spec receiver they are testing the barrels in there gun basically and they should be testing with other manufacturers!!!

Well from my point of view ,after removing the MBX barrel we reinstalled the JP barrel its lights out again so why would I ship my 2k gun anywhere . It’s clear the barrel is the problem, and the other guy who sent his in exact same results . Gun shoots great. Since MBX won’t tell what there set up was ,there torque setting ,there rest ,there receiver or what loads work the best it seems clear they just want to impugn the abilities of the guys that were unfortunate to get the bad barrels . It’s also laughable Adrian says he can’t give me a refund because I didn’t buy the barrel from him, Shooter Connection says no refund it’s manufacture issue, then followed it up with the barrel has been installed, it’s been shoot and it’s been altered . In this case dura coated , and Adrian said it didn’t affect the barrel. So how would you know if had a bad barrel ? my post was done before they gave there data

We shot 20 rounds of each in 5 different makes of ammo , with are proven competion load included all had the same results, 2 or 3 fliers in every group.

Good news Adrian is sending my barrel back , of course he is saying that it’s my JP GMR15 that’s got a problem , and because he wants to help me figure out what’s wrong with my gun-he’s willing to pay for me to send it to him so he can make my gun shoot groups like he has pics of. I must not be to smart how do you fix something that’s not broke. And the other 2 guys that were unfortunate to get bad barrels. Don’t know how to shoot or install barrels. Lesson learned . I do hope the barrel shoots good groups now after they repaired it so I can sell it and move on . Buyer Beware!!! i wonder what they will do if more people come forward with problem barrels?

Bought Barrel doesn’t shoot groups, manufacturers says it 100 % but won’t tell anyone what there test gun set up is and already admitted they had some problems with burrs in there barrels. In the beginning of barrelgate .

Once this is resolved I will buy a black JP with the titanium comp, 14.5 pined and welded. And look at a lighter hand guard.

Yes but MBX doesn’t offer one , my son coated it for me for my Christmas,wanted to shoot the lightweight barrel for my last match but it won’t hold a group .

To recap on the 19 they tested my barrel say nothing wrong , I asked if they would exchange for the mid weight no response On the 20th I told him would prefer the mid weight but if there not willing to do that ,if it shoots like there pics would be happy with the lightweight barrel back no response ! On the 21st asked for barrel back or refund no response ! On the 22nd asked for barrel back or refund no response ! On the 24 Shooters Connection informed me no refund, barrel had been installed, shot , and altered . Dura coated black , like the all black look. Oh yea Adrian said the dura coat didn’t affect anything !! What you guys think I just want my property back or refund seems like a fair request to me .

I am pretty sure it’s just about one thing for all involved, we paid $300 dollars for the barrel , the expectation was for a accurate one . Because we have first hand experience that the mid weight barrel shot great we felt comfortable trying the lightweight. No one is asking for one ragged hole, if it will shoot like they say all would be happy. Just don’t try make people believe you did nothing, every shooter that shoots makes mistakes so as a community it’s easy to understand if you mess up fess up .

Very true no one has ever said that all there products are bad, before this I would have argued they are top notch . I own several of there big stick mag extensions never had a problem with any of them. If they just exchanged our barrels and researched the other ones they would have had happy customers who said there customer is service is great .But they choose to say nothing wrong with the barrel and imply we didn’t know how to install them . I mean really you seriously think that 3 seasoned shooters could install there barrels wrong and all come up with the same results . Each barrel Consistently having 2 or 3 fliers in a 5 shot group.

We shot the gun from bench with Caldwell (sand bags ) the strange thing is removed the MBX barrel installed the JP barrel and it shoots lights out again. Which beyond any doubt takes the gun out of the equation as a problem. The other guy that has a problem MBX barrel experienced the same thing . As you know there’s no adjustments you can make , it fits in you torque the barrel nut and install the hand guard . MBX has asked me to send my gun to them so they can fix it, or make it shoot like the pictures they have taken. Since there is nothing wrong with my gun ,and I don’t want to loose the use of my gun for next competition,and don’t really like the idea of sending to someone who is just beginning in the gun business. Adrian agreed to check the barrel out and send it back in 7 to 10 days . Sent barrel. Out on 12/13/18 (2 )day mail to them , since they have said nothing wrong with barrel. My reply was if it shoots like the pic you sent I will be happy, or I would take the mid weight MBX. Barrel. Since I know they shoot nice, no response on the exchange or time line on the lightweight barrel return . So I asked again for barrel return or refund no response only thing they want is my rifle which has no problems. I own my own business and know sometimes you are better off to give someone a refund or what they request to satisfy them . Let them move on and you do the same. Chuck at Shooters Connection says no refund , Adrian says nothing wrong Barrel , but will not respond to multiple requests for return of barrel keeps asking for my gun. In contrast one of the guys at our club bought Wilson arms Barrel for his PCC it malfunctioned it had a short chamber, he called JSE surplus they sent him a new one and he sent the old barrel back that’s customer service that wins !!!

My gun JP GMR 15 so Barrel nut is not it , shot multiple weights of ammo , factory and hand loads will not group and has 2 or 3 fliers in every 5 shot group . Removed the lightweight barrel and reinstalled the JP barrel. Shoots great again , what do you think?

So what would you check if you installed a new barrel and could not get consistent groups at your starting distance from a bench at 25 yards ?
