  1. There’s something to be said for tuning your load, different powders, polymer bullets , all to get to the sweet spot for YOU, cause it’s all about what works for each person. That’s the great thing about tinkering to find it !! Oh yea I Love my JP !
  2. Don’t know much about them, but hear a lot of pros and cons . Personally I love the JP and it’s been flawless, it just baffles me when I see guys spend $1000 on econo gun and then $500 to get it to run , and even then can’t touch JP .
  3. We zero at 25 , we shoot the blue bullets which shoot soft even at 150 PF with a good buffer system. Of course our reloads, I like the freedom munitions 135 hollow points and the 124 hollow points but they were hard to get so we reload now . It seems like they were .19 cents or somewhere close . They are slow getting them to you , if you try them FYI.
  4. There are not many top shooters using the MPX, wonder why besides the price and mags ?
  5. Don’t have my smoke let ,but will post pics when it’s together .
  6. I ordered the smoke for mine last week, I also love the JP handguard it’s going to be a compromise for the weight loss . If you order a smoke call them let them know your a competion shooter %20 discount , great people to deal with .
  7. I agree it’s just a BLAST to shoot the JP , mine has run flawlessly. It’s amazing to see others have so much trouble and spend so much to get there econo- PCC to run . Lol. ( Double post not sure why )
  8. I agree it’s just a BLAST to shoot the JP , mine has run flawlessly. It’s amazing to see others have so much trouble and spend so much to get there econo- PCC to run . Lol
  9. I am sure there are other good ones , but the JP is the benchmark!!! Just purchased a new one for another upper it’s not even fair to compare there workmanship to the lightweight MBX barrel. I learned a good lesson, don’t do business with a company that doesn’t have a phone number. My son just purchased a CK arms Barrel that’s very nice, and the owner emailed him a couple of weeks after purchase to see if he was happy with the barrel That’s great customer service.
  10. I use Amsoil gun it cleaner it works great for me .
  11. It’s not grievances it’s looking for answers, they say one thing but for instance in out testing fifth shot is usually a flyer , and they always shot 4 shots groups ,and there have been many others who can’t get it to consistently group at 25 yards . We have tested a lot and can not get the groups they get with the ammo that they used factory wise . Inquiring minds want to know. My. Barrel does shoot better now then before I sent it back to them , but not what most would expect for a $300 barrel .
  12. I am at over 6k on JP ez trigger still runs like the day I got it . 3.5 very nice reset .
  13. FYI the blue bullets are hand loads , sorry I forgot !
  14. We don’t break in barrels with the polymer bullets but once broke in they shoot nice he’s got MBX midweight ,Barrel and I have a JP Tactical .
  15. Can’t remember the PF on the freedom my son might if he comes back on, we are shooting blue bullets now 135 grain PF 150 , but they are soft shooting . Another guy at our club is shooting the blue bullets at 140 PF .
  16. Had really good results with the freedom munitions 135 hollow points ,( not defense hollow points, )but they are slow to get them to you .
  17. Be careful the heavy grain 9 bullets some are designed for suppresors and not fast enough for your PCC, it’s the same with the real light loads they don’t always have enough power to get out of the barrel . JP had a guy stack 20 some Bullets in his.barrel .
  18. Ok so if you were one of the guys that had a barrel that you have tried virtually every factory ammo made, and 4 different hand loads and 4 different receivers and 4 different buffers, but still couldn’t get a consistent group under 3 inches what would you think is the problem ,and 5 different shooters ?
  19. I was sharing my opinion, on the way I felt I was treated , so I suppose if you were in my shoes and Chuck told you that him and Adrian felt we were trying to test barrels , and just wanted a refund you would feel good about that . No one likes to spend there hard earned money and get something that doesn’t work and be told tuff luck , you lost $300 . Just to be clear I never said they weren’t good people the very best people are still capable of making mistakes. I own my own business and make decisions all the time to refund or replace products that sometimes nothing wrong with customer changed there mind, it doesn’t mater. I always get my money back because that customer goes and tells someone else he stands behind his work . And I believe that’s what he should have done , and what would have happened if he did , I would have said you can’t beat those guys at shooters. And he would of had a customer for life . I spend a lot of money on guns and accessories every year . Sorry if I offended anyone, my only thought was I would hate to see someone else treated the way we were treated . Thx for your post Sarg , that’s what makes this the greatest Country , you have a right to your opinion also .
  20. Well got a bad barrel, bought it from shooters asked for a refund or store credit they say it’s Mbx issue, and they also believe that another guy at my club and I conspired to buy our barrels to test and didn’t like them and that’s why we want a refund. It’s impossible to believe such nonsense , I didn’t even know the other guy bought barrel and it was just because he knows my son him that we even found out about his barrel being bad also. Chuck is backing MBX all the way and refusing to see our side , who wants a barrel that will not shoot better then a 3 inch group at 25 yards from a bench. It appears the barrel is extremely ammo sensitive, they show it shooting a very nice group. We have shot every off the shelf ammo we can find, and 4 different hand loads and still can’t get a group better then 3 inch consistently. Shooters policy is if you use it can’t be returned, I can understand that with the exception of defect. We have spent hours and hours and a lot of ammo and it just won’t shoot consistently. My hope was they would try to help there customers out , they seem more concerned with supporting MBX , there have already been others who also can’t do better then 3 inch groups out of the barrel who posted here . My point is buyer beware with both companies, as everyone knows you can get a bad anything ,and if the only way you know is by using it and then that disqualifies you from return or store credit then look for different supplier .
  21. For 2 hundred more you can get a GMR 15 , and never look back . Do what you like but my recent purchase through shooters is my last, and also my last with MBX . Spent $300 dollars on a barrel that will not group. My son tested it more today out of 7 different types of ammo average group 3 inches with a scope at 25 yards from a bench . And could not do that consistently. So with a red dot your not going to get that . Hope you find a gun you are happy with . Shooting steel is a blast. I would recommend Strongside tactical, that’s where I bought my JP great people to deal with .
  22. Big I think that’s the point the G and GM don’t shoot the roger for a reason, not that’s it’s a bad gun just more disadvantages then pros.
  23. Just to be clear I am not saying that all MBX products are bad or have any problems, I have 5 of there big stick mags that have been perfect . And there are several here that have guns that shoot great . My son has A MBX midweight barrel that shoots great. Again how you Handel the problems !!!
  24. The thing with MBX is there not really a manufacturer they are having some one build parts and they put them together much like you would do if you ordered the parts over the net. JP on the other hand builds there own guns, so they have a proven product and customer service to back it up. I do however believe if that if MBX had someone besides the owner that understood what customer service is they could be more successful. There were 3 people that purchased there barrels that had problems around the same time 2 of us that are in the same club, if there would have just been some conversation on what was happening and they worked with us to resolve our problems ,it would have been much better, they choose to take the position that they needed our guns so they could make them shoot right, when there was nothing wrong with the guns as proven when we installed our old barrels and they shot great again. I would have been completely happy if they would have given me the midweight barrel , they took the position that we didn’t know what we were doing or couldn’t shoot. Also they scratched our barrels all up . As someone else said it’s not the easy problems that get fixed that make you stronger it’s the difficult ones . There position was always our barrels are %100 . There are no products that are flawless, if it’s manmade there will be problems that’s why customer service is important !
  25. No we are in the west, my son is the one will skills I am just having fun. Getting better but started a little late in life .
