If you are mechanically inclined, a loadmaster will run as well as any other press. And you can load 200 primers at a time. BUT. Out of the box, they need tuning, and a couple small modifications. I have 2, and can do about 600-800 rounds an hour, depending on how many primer trays I get ready ahead of time. Otherwise, they are prone to flipped/sideways primers that cause jams, poor shellplate rotation, jerky cycling, etc. If you don't mind tuning your press out of the box, it's fine. If you're not comfortable with doing that, get a hornady or dillon 650.

I had this problem with my arredondo pads, switched the springs out for Wolff. The capacity dropped to 19 reloadable, but they work great. My mags are only loaded to 19 at matches, even the ones that hold 20, just to keep it consistent.

I had a trigger spring break one match, and the spring jammed stuff up and it went FA for about 5-6 rounds. Only ever had one spring break though, so I don't know if that's common.

I call a below the belt shot on that one.

I just got mine tonight, I like how solid it is, even unlocked. It is a little sticky though, but I'm sure that will break in. Only took minor fitting for my glocks.

The mag is DOA from extensive testing now, but you can cut the 31rdn mag down a bit and bolt the basepad into the steel insert. I hate to say it, but some things are sorta trade secrets. When it came down to shooting, working in 1 reload on a 32 round course always left me usin 140ish mags. They seem to balance better in the gun.

I cut the big stick down and just tapped some 4-40 holes and screwed the old basepad to the metal walls of the mag body. Then sanded off the lettering to squeeze it in. I had thought about making a thinner SS or AL pad, but this one works. The follower I thinned out the top a little, and cut down the tail on the bottom. I haven't had any problems with the mag, but I did destroy it doing further testing, trying to get 32 in. Used it for 2-3 seasons before that though. Had to use a spring from Taylor for their big sticks to get it to work.

I've done some follower work and some other stuff and gotten 30+1. One 33rd mag I cut down and used the standard baseplate I've gotten 31+1. You gotta sand the lettering off the mag, and it barely passes, but it does pass. I think SJC does some 30rnd mags too, with arredondo extensions.

I just disable all of the empty-lock function of my slide stops. I've never had a problem where I run to empty and not notice.

The thought of dumping P7 M8/13 mags on the ground during a match makes me cringe. How much do M13 mags cost now? I haven't looked in awhile.

This is a tough question. I always shoot glocks, except one match when my only lim G22 at the time took a crap on me. A friend loaded me up with his STI Edge, and he was an A shooter at the time, me a C, and I beat him on 1 out of 4 stages. First time I shot that gun, only having shot an STI lim gun once before. I put it up to luck though. Do STI's feel nice? yep. Nice trigger? yep. My plastic guns take a beating though, and have rarely failed me. The only reason I stopped using one that match was because it doubled the first shot on the first stage. I wasn't going to risk anything after that. Probably my fault for not brushing the junk out of it after about 8k moly-coated rounds with no cleaning. I could probably shoot an STI better if I practiced. But I would practice less since the cost of the gun would eat up most of my ammo budget, vs putting together a lim glock myself. I saved up and dropped in a glockworx trigger, since last season. I don't feel as much disadvantaged to the STI triggers anymore, but it may just be my perception, since I haven't shot them side by side yet. The STI grip is more natural for me, but I've worked on getting a different grip on my glock and it has helped a lot. To sum it up... man I got no idea what advice to give. For now, I'd say shoot what you got. When you feel like you are waiting for the gun to fire the next shot, then re-assess your situation.

I love my surefire E2D LED defender. The two light levels is nice.

I have a WSM II not a G version. I've tried it without the muzzle platform and the gun rocks right out of the lock.

Which mag springs should I use for 140mm .40 mags? Wolf +10%? ISMI? The ones that came with my basepads all look different. Some have a rectangle coil at the bottom, some are oval.

is that a cut down CR? I thought about doing that, but I can rock the gun out when locked with no muzzle platform with my older CR speed.

I have a 22 and 35 that I switch between for Limited Division. The 22 seems to cycle a little faster, but I have lightened the slide quite a bit. The 35 seems to be a bit more accurate. But that's probably just me.

I might pick up a speedsec just cause it's only 100 bucks or so. I also put the DAA as the only item on my birthday list. If I end up with both, I'll pick one, and let the woman use the other.

How does the DAA lock the pistol in? Is it some sort of rocker switch? I'm leaning towards the DAA, got a couple days to decide.

Who told you the DAA used a bearing to lock the gun in? Totally false... The locking and retention mechanism is completely different from the Ghost, and about 5000% better in terms of gun retention - it's also tension adjustable, where the Ghost is not. Having used both, I would unreservedly pick the DAA Race Master, without a doubt. The caveat is - I've never used either of these holsters with a Glock, just with a 2011 platform.... So, take it for what it's worth in that regard... I must have mis-read when I was going through the initial review thread. My mistake. Looks like a nice holster either way. I'm leaning towards the DAA, because it looks more secure.

I shoot a G22, 35, and maybe soon a 24. I'd like to not have to re-adjust my cr-speed holster every time I swap guns. I have a limcat for a 1911, but I don't really like the switch-lock for holding the gun in. I think the 2 bearing lock holsters are Ghost and DAA. Any input on the two, or if there's something out there I missed?

Another trick is to mount a bullet girls toy to the bottom of the tray. One with the 3 settings. They usually run about 5 bucks, but the low setting works well for flipping primers, then slap a lid on it and turn it on high.

Put a sizing die in the 2nd station with the decap stem removed, and take the adjustment bolt out for primer depth and smooth the lettering off the face. This will cut down on flipped primers. I bought one loadmaster, and had another given to me for free. I can run about 800 rounds an hour with em, loading a few trays up with 200 primers each.

I always bring a spare production rig, G34, mags, and ammo to every match. That way if someone else forgets, I got a full loaner rig/ammo. Also, if I'm bringing 2 rigs, and 3 guns, I'm bound to remember at least enough to compete.
