Im following this because I am also having trouble transitioning to the dot. Im def slower then I was with irons.

CZ Shadow milled by CZ Custom and they're plates. Currently have a jpoint optic on it.
The Optics ready CZ Shadow 2 would not make weight in IDPA...if you care about that. Plenty of guys will take a S2 and after the optics cut and a little extra milling get it light enough to be IDPA legal. -
Had Oakleys, switched to Rudys this year because they claimed not to fog up. They're better then the oakley but I still get a bit of moisture build up on the lense in the heat.
I just switched to walker electronic in ear plugs. I prefer muffs but they get too dang sweaty when its hot out. -
I've found BBI (Black Bullets International) work the best for me. Coating seems superior to the few other big names Ive tried. Usually in stock too.

Shooters World CleanShot is superior to titegroup in my honest opinion. Load weight is around the same but the grains aare smaller with the cleanshot, more consistent metering and doesn't stick. Shoots cleaner comparatively as well. Check them out.

Go with a Red Hill Tactical on a boss mount. Double layer kydex holsters, lots of colors/patterns to choose from, and best of all is they support the sport.

I'm sure I'll get roasted for this...but it sounds like the OP should shoot more IDPA.
I like stages with options. It was already said but I like matches with stages that are different. A buddy recently watched my match vid (gopro) and thought It was on loop because every stage looked the same. Drop turners and disappearing targets are cool too, don't see them much in USPSA around me.

I’ve caught myself a few times showing clear with a mag still in. Luckily I’ve caught myself and dropped the mag and cleared again.
I see a lot of people rush thru the commands, I take my time. -
One of our local clubs has decided to cancel all matches for the year. It’s crazy.
-
Has anyone ever complained to USPSA about the lack of privacy?
Maybe if everyone asked them to make it private they would? -
Personally I wouldn’t change anything if I was driving to a match. But I might think twice if I had to fly somewhere.
I’ve always felt planes are just Petri dishes, even before all this hype. -

But on the other hand there are far more shooters who are classified and just want to shoot field courses with the occasional classifier.
You need to look around for an all classifier match which are fairly common in early season
Normally I’d agree with you but at this particular match we had 34 out of 60 listed as “unclassified”.
Also like others usually id much prefer a regular stage over a classifier. The one thing I do like about classifiers is it’s a good way to judge if you’ve been improving or not.
-
Just curious how many of you have shot a level 1 match that didn’t include a classifier stage?
Been shooting a few years now and just shot my first match without a classifier stage. Fun match but was kind of bummed since I’m trying to classify for CO. -
I think a good question to ask when discussing RD’s is how long does it take for a company to warranty their product. Seems every dot breaks at some point. Which company gets it back fastest might be a deciding factor for some.

the belt is PURPOSELY made 1.5mm wider
Do we know why? Getting CR speed mag pouches on are a major PIA. I also bought a 1.5” belt holder and had to modify it to make it slide on the belt at all.

I like it. Good stuff, but like all ammo not perfect. I had some primer issues. They had me send all 450 rounds back to them for testing and replaced it all for me.
They stand by their product, I give them that.
Another thread on here showed a cracked case out of the box. I still use it though. -
I’ve loaded for my gen4 34 at 1.085 - 1.09 with good results.

I am guessing this is a rule for that particular range. Couple of clubs around here have concrete barrier type walls between stages and were alwsys told if a bullet hits one, we’re going home. Same range has a high muzzle rule which can also get you DQ’d.
Sounds like they should explain this better but you’re on the right path if asking them for help to prevent it again. -
I was gonna vote leave the rules the same until I read your post. Good point, if other guns can weigh 43oz the why not all of them?

My buddy found 12 rounds like this in 300 rds of federal he had. Same deal sent it back and nothing from federal yet. That’s been 4 months. Pretty crappy on their part.
Finally got my replacement ammo last week. They threw in an extra box.

Personally I think it should be legal on the p320 grip module since that's a readily replaceable part of the gun, but at some point they ruled that it isn't.I’ve never understood why stippling or this treatment isn’t legal on all guns (but grip tape is ok?). Plenty of people stipple/treat their carry guns, so it would still stick to IDPA’s core values. One of those rules that’s makes ya scratch your head but different topic I suppose.

I’ve used a hanks leather belt for 4 years now. Bought it for IDPA but has also become my EDC belt. Still going strong.

I can report that I was not a fan of the Walker wrap around plugs. I'm gonna give them another chance though before forming final opinion.
Saw those for sake pretty cheap and considered them as well. What didn’t you like? I was concerned the neck piece would bounce around too much during stages.

Seems to be the case. Doesn't help that in my case I am also learning a new platform (came from Glock 34 iron sights to CZ Shadow with RD)
