My shadow 2 is in warrantee repair for second time now for failure to extract. First repair was stronger extractor spring and polish and adjust extractor. This helps reduce failures but not 100%. Polish appears to be back side of extractor. What does that do? Adjustment of same is a mystery also. I don't care to hear about cleaning or ammo type etc. My Hi power nor my HK fail to extract ever never! Regardless of bullet brand or bullet weight reload or factory. I don't want to be required to buy and sort ammo to find the one this $1500 gun likes. Reading these posts tells me CZ needs to find the 100% fix. Can't wait to try their second fix attempt.
I posted the fix in the post above this one.

Anybody know if these are in stock anywhere? I ordered from Classic Firearms on Friday and got an email today saying they canceled my order due to an inventory discrepancy.
Following. I’ve been looking as well…

Just to add some ffl’s won’t accept firearms from private sellers.
Going thru an ffl will avoid that. -

Do you have the steel or aluminum plate? I couldn’t keep a dot on my SP-01 with RDS and was using the aluminum plate. A couple people in the know told me to ditch the aluminum plate and get the steel one. The steel one wasn’t available until recently and I bought one but haven’t had a chance to try it.
I’d second that. If they offer the steel plate for your optic, get it. The aluminum wear out too quickly

Are they waterproof? Like submersible?

I have both the CZC plate system and a direct milled slide.
Both have their upsides and downsides
CZC plate you can switch optics or use iron sights (if you buy the iron sight plate which is $80 I think).
It sits up a little higher and I don’t think it’s quite as secure as a direct mill. No matter what I tried the screws would work loose eventually. (I’m sure someone will argue otherwise but that’s been my experience). It can sometimes be hard to find the plates in stock as well, the steel is a better choice than the aluminum ones.
Direct mill is great fit, snug and low as possible. Obvious con is once you commit to an optic, that’s it, your stuck with that footprint.
Fir competition don’t worry about back up sights. Most prefer to take the front sight off too.
Personally I’m not sure I’d pick the delta point as my optic but that’s another discussion entirely.

Just cut 2 coils off the bottom
Was thinking that, but the bottom coil is kind of curved around to sit flat in the basepads. Wouldn’t hurt to try I guess

Thanks guys. Seems BSPS sent me wrong ones. Guess I should’ve checked them when I received them.

Ok so I’m running 141 mags for my S2.
Have grams spring and follower.
Last April I ordered replacement springs from pro shop, 11 coil grams springs. I just went to replace them and they seem too long. I’m wondering if they sent 13 coil by accident.
How many coils do you count on the longer one?
I only count 12 but then I count 10 on my current spring?

Did you try your other barrel?
I had this issue with a new S2 and Stuart at CZC (and a few other members) said to hone the chamber to remove the coating. I had another barrel from a slide I bought, I put that in and have had no issues since.

Interesting thread. I’ve only been shooting competition about 5 years and I had never known of “brassing”.
I’d see the revo guys picking up their brass between stages but that’s about it. I have been called a range chicken for sticking around after the stage is broken down to grab brass. Now I just try to grab about the same amount as I shot that day. As my knees and back ache during the process I ask myself why I’m still doing it when I can’t get enough primers for all the brass I have now. But I keep going. -
Just a heads up, there are a bunch of fakes out there that look very much like a real one. Not saying she might scam you purposely, but if her husband bought a knock off, she might not know.

I have two s2 oranges and have the same extraction issues.
Any fixes??
I have done extractors, springs, load to 110.
I have shot thousands of rounds in both guns. I am at me breaking point. This happens every couple hundred rounds
Thanks
Polish the chamber seems to be the fix. Since I switched to a barrel that had the chamber polished I’ve had no issues.

Well since the rules are changing effective in June this year there will be a lot more options. Both Red Hill Tactical and GX products make great kydex holsters.
The s1 is a decent weight so I wouldn’t try any of the cheap stuff.
Mag pouches I’ve had good luck with Blackhawk double mag pouches, but again with the rule changes there will be better options now.

What did they do to it? I have an older 43x. EDC. Haven't had problems but would upgrade anything as needed.
If you read thru the posts you’ll see but basically they replaced the trigger bar with an updated part. If you’ve had no issues I’m not sure I’d worry about it.
-
So….since I posted this a week ago has prices have jumped 75 cents.
Even every local match is at least an hour drive. It’s def something I will have to factor in when I decide if I’m going or not. -
Just to update my 43x has still been perfect since I sent it in.
-
When I went from Glock to a CZ Shadow and now an S2 I was worried about the double action as well.
In reality you really only shoot DA a very small percentage of shots.
Obviously the first shot of a stage but any stage you start unloaded you’ll be skipping the DA.
It’s not anything to lose sleep over.
You can do trigger jobs but really just changing the main spring and the trigger return spring will make a big difference. -
This is the time of year that we’re signing up for those big matches.
I signed up for a few and then started to look at hotels.
Prices have nearly doubled from last year! Combine that with the high cost of gas and I actually had to decide that if I can’t drive to the match the morning of….I won’t be going.

I'm having the exact same issue, with my brand new 43x, I can't believe I'm in this situation not what I expected from Glock.
Hoping the store I bought it in will replace it with a new one, had it for 1 week, fired some 250 rounds , triger reset failure around 6 times
What year was it manufactured. I had heard it was an updated part so I’d be surprised a newly manufactured one was having issues.
I doubt the gs will take it back, but Glock customer service was very good.
I would contact them.
-
I ran into the same issue and I believe I found that the ones made for a Glock plate fit just right, but don’t remember now since I’ve moved on to an S2. Seems silly that CZC doesn’t offer them for how popular the SRO is.

I have the rechargeable walker silencer (non-blutooth). Got them for a little over $100 on amazon almost 2 years ago. No complaints.
-
I have a similar setup and If i'm shooting in any kind of sandy soil (pretty much every where I shoot) I will take apart and clean any mag that hit the ground between stages. If i don't I often end up with issues/
-
Probably a long shot but are you sure you have the correct grams kit? They have two different versions, one for factory CZ metgar mags and one for aftermarket metgar mags
