  1. Carey Concealment X1 Raptor!! Best holster ever.
  2. Got one yesterday, overall positive first impressions. Shooting it in a couple hours. definitely want to put an optic on it
  3. Hydra P/P+ sorry about that!
  4. I have a A01SD and an A01LD i wanted to make a thread for holster fitment on this pistols. I know they will “fit” in most s2 and sp01 holsters but it’s not really guaranteed. The CZC branded holsters both obviously fit well for standard Kydex holsters. Ghost Hydra: A01LD: great fit! Great draw. It is a fantastic option. Covers the 5in slide to bottom. A01SD: retains and draws, but there is noticeably more rattle and movement due to the smaller dust cover allowing it to pivot on the long axis. Covers 5in slide to bottom. SP01: great fit great draw. DAA Max A01LD: great fit, great draw, it’s a very good option on par with the Hydra. Slide and barrel extend about 1/4” past end of holster. A01SD: movement on the long axis as well, but better than the Hydra. It’s the best I’ve tried so far that’s not a CZC holster for fit. Same 1/4in past end of holster. SP01: great fit, great draw. the DAA Max is the holster I’ve settled on to be the 1 bucket for all my CZs. I’ll update as I try new things. If you have a A01 and other holsters it’s fit in post it up! -DK
  5. Zero issues. I’ve build a couple more. Some are not 23 reloadable; so it’ll depend on how your spring sets and how the components fit together. I’ll be removing the spring and followers from the ones that are not 23 reloadable and trying them in other combos to see if I can find the other side of the tolerance stacking.
  6. Walther full size Pdp mag + TF basepad + grams fks9-11 = 23rnds with no follower modification required, and retains slide lock functionality. 1 mag is 23 reloadable, the other is stiff but should break in to be reloadable in time. 2 test mags outfitted like this right now. Shooting a match tomorrow and I’ll report back on reliability.
  7. I agree with that, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the follower spring combo isn’t perfectly reliable… I won’t sacrifice reliability for 1 round, but if it’s a wash and I can get an extra round ill always go for the extra round. I’ll test it out and report back
  8. Anyone using the Gen 1 STI grams followers in their full size Pdp mags yet? I’ve heard they work but want confirmation. 23+1 would be nice
  9. they do! i am sending my slide off the them tomorrow most likely… I’m also asking them to look into slide lightening with more usable forward serrations. They told me they would have to look at it and make measurements, so I left it up to them when they get it in as a game time decision. They would be the first to do it beyond CZCs protec tri top with stock serrations.
  10. I plan on having F4E do the optics mount (along with a p01 I’ll send in) now that I’ve seen they can do it on the A01… I’ll see if they are game to try some slide weight reduction, thought I doubt it. Not looking for anything fancy. Just a tri top, and some usable front serrations. If a competent welder can fill the front sight dovetail that would be an aesthetically pleasing bonus.
  11. I am planning on having a slide cut by CZC like the tritop protec (+ optics mount if needed) when I get a backup gun. When that does finally happen I’ll post up how much weight it shaves off + cost. In between a direct mill optic and the czc plate system I’m currently running on my a01sd.

    Moving to CZ?

interested in these 170s… could use 2 or so for multigun open with the a01! With minor loads this thing RTZ’s with the best of them. I don’t feel too disadvantaged from full open blasters in 3 gun. Have to load pretty short but 125gr round nose Blues over 3.8gr sport pistol at 1.105 has been my favorite combo so far. Little more recoil and slide speed than 147s but it tracks back on target perfectly. I have a F4E S2 that’s a backup gun, might need to turn it into another a01

    Moving to CZ?

Thanks! After shooting 2011s for a long time before the gun flip flop/change of sponsors period… I think the a01 is incredible, as fast and ergonomic as a 2011 while being more versatile as a competition gun (easy swap from production to CO to tacops to open 3gun)… just wish czc made a A01 9 MAJ open USPSA blaster!
  14. yes, the bass version (if they made them). I’d consider the 6oz version of them. just noticed my phone changed lok to lock.
  15. I got the a01sd to keep the weight down, I feel like it’s more balanced as well. Big fan, I would be interested in the more hollowed out lock grips however. Weight in a good spot, not tooo much, and the grip on them is phenomenal.
  16. Love my s1050 I tried other brands from Dillon and won’t go back. I’ve considered a 750 as a rifle caliber loader I live local to them and they stand behind their product, their support is second to none

    Moving to CZ?

Went from a glock to a beretta Ltt rdo to my CZ a01sd… I couldn’t be happier. P01 will be my carry
  18. So seems reliability is best by shaving off completely the portion of the follower that would interact with the slide lock. It has a tendency to go up and over seizing the mag in the gun. it is still only allowing me 22 but I believe it’s due to the follower being slightly to long for the mags binding up at the mag to basepad transition area. I can fit 23 but it’s not reloadable and bulges the side of the mag with tension. once I get this one modified to work as a reliable 23 reloadable I’ll post how I shaved the follower.
  19. The grams spring and follower for mecgar CZ mags right? Fmcmg-11 I think. Those the ones you use? How much modification is required of the follower? im not brand loyal, I’ll try one of each. Probably a brass TF and a springer. See which I like more.
  20. thank you for the above quote! I was looking and searching for a while before deciding to make a new post. I’m going to see if the TF +4’s bring me to a reloadable 22, the play with some grams springs/followers for CZ mags. if I can make a reliable 23 I’d be really happy. If it’s not reliable 22 it is.
  21. What I’m seeing right now; MecGar 18 +4 extension = 22 Are there any spring and follower combos that work to add 1 or 2? I’m considering getting a grams spring and follower kit for the mecgar canik mags and seeing if they are modifiable to work… but figured I’d ask here as I’m sure something has been tried before. 22 is absolutely fine, but 23/24 is better!
  22. I just shot my first match with my Langdon LTT RDO np3 carry bevel…. I love it. if I was going to get another beretta for production I’d probably do either a Langdon trigger job 92x performance or a LTT np3 from Langdon. basically get it from Langdon with their trigger work and np3 if available and it’ll be fantastic.
  23. I do not believe so. Especially with covid and everything. There is a Sons of Liberty Gunworks Carbine Series in TX however!
  24. Chrono + strelock and proper data input + confirming your dope. Looking into MPBR zero's, then learn your drops at distance. No two rifles are the same, different ammo, etc. It should be specific to you and your equipment. For example, I have a 150yard zero with the ammo that I am using, this at standard day atmospheric conditions give me the best numbers for my reticle, and I will adjust as needed for different Wx conditions. If I have to confirm or change this, or Wx conditions change this zero significantly (they can), I will make note of this in my strelok, and confirm. In all reality, unless you are shooting tiny targets... 200-250 shouldn't require much of a hold, at all, unless your zero is all off. Rules of thumb for 50/200 and 25/300 yard zero's, so on and so forth... really are just rough estimates, and stem from standard equipment and ammunition via mil and amount to a hasty ballpark zero. Once you have a good zero specific to your equitmnet, and you know your holds for various distances, plug it in with current Wx parameters so strelok can give you an accurate hold estimation. At this point its all about a good trigger pull and building your best position to make accurate shots at distance. Look into techniques like reverse kneeling, how to brace off various barricades, and fighting the urge to rush a shot to get 1st round good hits with acceptable sight pictures. Long range can be a bit of a monster to tackle, there are a lot of factors at play. Work on them one at a time until it all comes together. It starts with a good zero for you + your equipment and knowing your data, then shooter performance.
