  1. I might have to give them a try. I've tried some ETS mags in other Glocks and have had function issues.
  2. But buying is more fun! Right now I travel about 3 hrs for matches unless it is a local one and then I’m helping set up and tear down. I definitely will keep my open with other limited shooters to see what they have
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't thought about that before
  4. I would definitely be staying in the 2011 platform and would silica carbide my grips (that is what my current gun is) I’m note wondering if I ended up going with a 6” gun or a 5” gun and something without a full dust cover vs a full dust cover
  5. I have enough Ammo to get through this year. This purchase would not affect my current ammo budget
  6. I take 6-8 classes a year and shoot about 15k rounds. This wouldn’t affect my current shooting or training budget
  7. I’ve been thinking about getting a backup pistol to my SVI DVC limited. I usually just shoot level one uspsa matches and it wouldn’t be needed, but who doesn’t like getting another gun. My questions are Should I wait until I shoot more larger matches to get a backup gun? Should I get another DVC limited or if it varies a bit, does it really matter? There are a few used guns in the classifieds that would fit the budget quite nicely Should I wait until I can get a nicer main gun and make my STI DVC my backup?
  8. I used to believe that milling is the only way, but lately I’ve been having good luck with the C&H precision plate on my 45mos.
  9. 25 yard 10 shot at B8 target with EDCx9 sight in irons and RMR on Glock 45 MOS Sight in Glock 43 irons bill reload drill with match pistol two reload two with match pistol 1x6 with match pistol 3 on 3 with match pistol
  10. Any dry fire with it? My favorite glock trigger is just to dry fire the stock one quite a bit until they are broken in. Whenever I get a new glock, I just put a couple thousand dry reps on the trigger and it breaks it in quite nicely
  11. They make great long range precision rifles/parts.
  12. It took me longer to strip and tape off the frame than it did to apply the epoxy and silica carbide. I had the wife help pour silica carbide over the frame while I tamped it into the epoxy. Wasn't needed, but definitely helped
  13. I finally got around to putting silica carbide on my glock 45 tonight. It was way easier than expected. I don't have quite as clean of lines as earlan357 and it is still curing, but I'm definitely satisfied. Time to sand off the finger grooves on the gen 4 19 and do it to that one. I'll post more pics tomorrow when it is re-assembled
  14. I'm not sure. It is advertised as 140mm on their website.
  15. Good to know. Thanks. Do you know if the TTI for 9mm are the same as 40? I did have some for my 40, but I don't know if I still have them. I moved last summer and might have to go check out the storage unit.
  16. Mine should be showing up today. From everything I read it is solid.
  17. I would definitely get a metal mag catch if I go with the MBX. How much life are you getting out of your mags with the brass Taylor Freelance extensions?
  18. Thanks! Just helped me spend some money I didn't know that I needed to spend this morning
  19. MBX? Magpul? Factory OEM With extended base plates? If so, which ones? It looks like the MBX can get 23-24 rounds with the competition follower, but they are expensive. Figured I'd ask before I drop the $
  20. Let me know what you decide or a mounting option. I have a sirt pistol and shoot a g45 mos for Carry optics.
  21. Yeah, I’ve thought about trying to just sell the loaded ammo, but I think people shy away from reloads. I have about 2500-3000 rounds loaded and it isn’t worth my time on the inertia puller. Might have to try selling it I suppose
  22. I started that route but it takes quite awhile to pull bullets. Do you know of a way other than an inertia hammer or a puller with collets?
  23. Do you know if you can run 38 super major loads in a stock 2? I have a bunch of ammo left over from shooting major and was thinking about getting a Tanfoglio to burn it up. My loaded ammo is: 10.8 grain accurate #7 winchester small rifle primers Montana gold 115gr jhp
