  1. It works.....well, it would have worked better if I had remembered to use that purple stuff on the twisting thingies. Sucker wiggled lose on me due to dumbassness. Pistol is stupid accurate, every bit as good as CZ. I think the 8lb recoil is a bit too light, and will have to give 10lb a try. It just took too long for everything to settle back down. Shot flat as it can. Just way to slow. First time using a Delta Point Pro, and it is good. The triangle is a wee bit crooked, but I can deal with it. I think. Got the 13 lb hammer spring in it, MUCH better, still a bit much, but tolerable. Right at 6 for DA (bleh) and sub 3 for SA. Its smooth enough I can deal with it.
  2. yeah, went short and long, long.......actually, lets go with no. It may have been the mag issue and not the ammo. Every thing loaded now is around 1.15
  3. we use the tools we have available. LOL I am getting out of the office today and testing it after lunch. Its still lower than my Czechmate.
  4. not all of them, I dont think any at this point, as I have them tuned pretty well. I did have one jam, but I am chalking that up to new springs. One less round and I could not duplicate it.
  5. you would think. If I had a better macro lens, I could show you were the bad JHP etched the feed ramp. So bullet shape does have something to do with it.
  6. worried about the crappy plating, but it may be easier to clean that off than screw with mags all the time I plan on running this pretty daggon hot as it seems to really like 8 or more gr of Autocomp.
  7. A little update. Got all my stuff in to mount the DPP on a plate from EGW. DPP with mount and crews is 2.4 oz. Stock sight is 1 oz (or slightly under) Pistol with mag is 44.5 oz as it sits in the pic below it is 46oz. If I mill it, the FPB is going to be right to the bottom of the DPP, so I dont think I will mill anything. UNLESS I run out of elevation adjustments. Shaving off 1oz is not going to be an issue. new guide rod and grips will take care of that. I have lost my punch to get the safety off, so I have to run out and get another. I think i will end up with a single sided extended safety. I may have an CZ75 in my parts bin, anyone try that?
  8. You all answered some questions I had and assumed the correct answers.... I am ok with the longish pull on DA, the 8+ lbs, hell no! I should have a bunch of springs in today so it will get torn apart and polished up tonight. I gotta weigh a bunch of parts to see what I can do to shave off an ounce or two without having to start milling the slide (outside of the DPP). I will take pics of what weighs how much as I do this. May help the next idiot like me that wants to do things the hard way
  9. when running lighter hammer springs etc., do I need an extended FP like I do in my CZs?
  10. Well, this is the second non CZ pistol I have owned in quite sometime. All I have done is about 35 rounds out of to function test it before I start in on making it for Carry Optics. Seems like an 8lb recoil works well with 150gr subs, 115gr store bought ran pretty well too, only one FT Feed, chalked it up to new gun and all. That said, we are going to focus on weight. I also picked up a Delta Point Pro we are going to stick on top. If my scales were off, this thing stock with mag is 44.5 oz. That leaves me .5 oz to play with and a 2 oz optic. I assume the rear adj sight is close to 2 oz? I dont know, Front cant weigh crap, but it will come off too. What else can be done to reduce about 2 oz? Also, I have some new hammer springs coming in to try and get the god awful 8+ lb DA reduced. SA is almost 4, which sucks too. We need the DA to sub 5 and the SA as low as we can.....2 lbs would be about perfect.
  11. Had a local shop I deal with work a trade on a Tanfo Witness Xtreme II. SO, you will have to see them. I kept one of the Czechmates until i sort out all the newly needed ammo lessons. I am going to run Open in our outlaw matches and run Carry Optics with the Tanfo. I will say I have most of the mag issues sorted out but still a few more tweaks are needed. Ended up taking 8th out of 53 in our local match last night. So, the CZ runs great, but had one issue with my big stick, chalked it up to one too many rounds in it.
  12. I actually tuned all my mags. I had no idea how bad the lips get out of whack. I started with one 20 rounder that worked flawless and matched the rest to look the same. Once I did that, no issues for the most part, but I also dab a bit of lube on the feed ramp that is already highly polished. BUT, I find that some bullet shapes will not work no matter what. Very rounded projectiles wont feed into the chamber. Rounds closer to the shape of store bought 115gr work like a champ. At this point, and having strictly CZs, this (both) Czechmate is stupid picky and one may just get the axe, and the other get bumped to Carry Optics.
  13. I am pretty sure I found the problem. My 20 new springs came in today.......6 for the big sticks and 10 for the 20 rounders. Now I just gotta figure out why the TSO basepads I got wont lock in. sigh
  14. Any of you Czechmate shooters have your rounds jam up? Seems mine jam nose first right into the feed ramp. Never have an issue with round nose ammo, just JHP. Various brands. Not all the time, but at random, and usually only at a match. Could be on the second shot of the mag, or cant even get to one shot. Polished feed ramp, I have all new springs due in today, but I dont think that is the issue. I could be wrong.
  15. Primary Machine make s pretty good comp. I ran one on my P-09 and now on my AR9 pistol.
  16. Min. of Asshattery...... LOL. Gun can do it, I cant. Best I can do is 2-3"
  17. yes, Like I always say, JMB made the perfect pistol, CZ just made it better MOA at 50 yards. I've also run my CM at 100.........best "I" can do is 12", but I am a caffeine addict
  18. Like others, I will be damned if I am gonna go to a match, and have to go home or be a scorekeeper all day due to something very small that renders the gun worthless.
  19. I picked both up from fellow shooters, or i would still be waiting.
  20. Thats true, if it aint broke dont fix it. this is the CM sprung for 115 store bought.
  21. 1.15" seems to fit the mag very well, I may be able to go 1mm more, but thats it. Like I stated, if I run the 10lb, 115 store bought works great, the 13# works well with both 8.2 and 7.2, but better with 8.2. Dont think I gave the 8.2 a shot (no pun) from the one with a 10# spring. It may be backwards, but it works, I suppose. I am looking forward to loading my own, and need to get rolling. Goal is to be classed as an A by summers end in Open.
  22. I went with Production for over a year, JUST for the 10 round and stage planning. Its very hard to run a stage with 10 rounds as the planners are asshats to Production shooters. It took me a while, but I got it. Now, running Open is a breeze. I suggest sticking it out and get your planning down. Like ^ said, minor Limited does not make much sense, unless you can hit all Alphas or 90% Alphas OR you can fly. Other than that, magwell, 140mm mags, optics.
  23. Also, Has anyone loaded close to 8gr of autocomp had any issues? Ran some loads that were 8.2 and the pistol seemed to like that a lot! 13lb recoil spring BTW. It was shooting really flat.
  24. Ok, did not take long to figure out the ammo I had was just too short. One on the left is Everglades. AOL = 1.15 One on right is what I had (not my reload). AOL = 1.09 So, we narrowed one issue down. I know this as both the pistols ran like a top until I used the short ammo. Here is where it goes bassackwards. 10# recoil, both pistols were taking a nose dive. 13# recoil and it was shooting very flat, but if I go on this Idea, a 14# would make it shoot stupid flat. the 10# worked really well for 115gr store bought S&B the 13# worked better with the Everglades major 9 Is this not backwards on how it should work? My splits on two shots are about .1 to .15,closer to .15 I can usually do 6 rounds a second, so I am going with .15 splits. Accuracy at this speed and 6 rounds, may or may not be in the A zone. If I do my part I can do those splits on a double tap and keep in in the A zone. 13# my groups were.....1-3" apart shooting major 10# 10-15" apart shooting major 13# shooting minor, 8-10" groups 10# shooting minor 2-3" groups all at 7 yards 90% of that space is vertical, with some horizontal movement. I would hazard to guess it is not me doing something incorrect. This goes against everything I would think and have read.
