    Driving

I thought that is why we have cell phones? At least thats what I see going on at 62 mph on the highway.
  2. Dave that is pretty amazing. This is my displine. http://media.putfile.com/388MOV04062 Oh yea that is not my boat
  3. wow not even month betwen them. I'll find another one.
  4. I got this form another forum I read. I just had to share it. Anger Management When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know. I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying "Hello." I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?" Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear "Get the right f***ing number!" and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude. When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits. After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an *******!" and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word '*******' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an *******!" It always cheered me up. When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic '*******' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?" He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone. I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an *******!" and hung up. One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking Spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a "For Sale" sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number. A couple of days later, right after calling the first ******* (I had his number on speed dial,) I thought that I'd better call the BMW *******, too. I said, "Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?" He said, "Yes, it is." I asked, "Can you tell me where I can see it?" He said, "Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax. It's a yellow rambler, and the car's parked right out in front." I asked, "What's your name?" He said, "My name is Don Hansen," I asked, "When's a good time to catch you, Don?" He said, "I'm home every evening after five." I said, "Listen, Don, can I tell you something?" He said, "Yes?" I said, "Don, you're an *******!" Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too. Now, when I had a problem, I had two *******s to call. Then I came up with an idea. I called ******* #1. He said, "Hello." I said, "You're an *******!" (But I didn't hang up.) He asked, "Are you still there?" I said, "Yeah," He screamed, "Stop calling me," I said, "Make me," He asked, "Who are you?" I said, "My name is Don Hansen." He said, "Yeah? Where do you live?" I said, "*******, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, a yellow rambler, I have a black Beamer parked in front." He said, "I'm coming over right now, Don. And you had better start saying your prayers." I said, "Yeah, like I'm really scared, *******," and hung up. Then I called ******* #2. He said, "Hello?" I said, "Hello, *******," He yelled, "If I ever find out who you are..." I said, "You'll what?" He exclaimed, "I'll kick your ass," I answered, "Well, *******, here's your chance. I'm coming over right now." Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd, in Fairfax, and that I was on my way over there to kill my gay lover. Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Oaktree Blvd. in Fairfax. I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax. I got there just in time to watch two *******s beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and surrounded by a news crew. NOW I feel much better. Anger management really does work.
  5. The answer is quite simple, SWC's cut clean holes in the target. Round nose bullets cut a ragid hole. SWC's make the RO's job easier, when scoring hits, espceially if the hit is on the line between two zones. Man that is one thing I really like when shooting the 200 swc. It really helps us visually handicapped.
  6. I just got me a pair a month ago too. i went for the Photo / Polor. I also had to get he Rx lens setup. Nice setup. Expensive but nice. Their new lens is pretty cool. I took their sample lens and bent in half. It flexes right back into shape with no damge.
  7. I started with a regular on the belt kidex for CC carry. So it was pretty high on the belt. I then got a DOH Blade Tech. I felt like it improved my draw quit a bit. I dont' know if it did but I quit thinking about it. I'm now using a Ghost since I went to a Limited with full dusk cover. Again, I feel like the I draw faster from the Ghost but I don't know if I do. I agree about the comfort of a "gun bucket" security. What are going to do with your Ghost? My son needs one for a STI.
  8. 4.1 Clays 200 LSWC Major 4.0 Bulleye 200 LSWC Minor Both load are far more accurate than I am in my gun. These load and my gun don't really seem to care much about which brand of lead bullet I buy either. They all seem to shot very well. Sellier & Bellot brass primer pockets are a PITA to reload. I bought 500 rounds to brake in a new .45. It shot fine it was the reload that made me wished I had bought another brand.

    Glock Holsters

I carry with Sparks Watch Six Dual Talon. the clips are nice because you hook them on you pant and you belt goes over them. the hold very well and difficult to see if wearing a black gun belt. Not sure if this holster is still made though. I have used a Comp-Tac as well. I really like it except for the front swivel attachement digs into my hip too much. Otherwise I would be using it instead.
  10. I loaded up some 147 gr Kead Lead with 3.6 231 COL 1.12. Shooting through a glock 35 with 9mm Storm Lake barrel. Shoot nice but we (my sons gun) are experiencing a couple of challenges. Light load seams to have a few stop pipe ejections and even more so the other morning when it was cold. We are getting a small amount of leading too. Could be our barrel or bullet choice but I think we need to speed them up a little and we will propbably solve both issues. I have not loaded any 9mm lead wtih TG behind it but I have loaded lead my .40 with TG. It resulted with some leading. Same barrel and bullet type as above only .40. I tried Universal Clays behind .40 lead and it shoots great with no leading. Now i just need to do some Chrono work. I do not know how well Universal Clays works in the 9mm but it may be another option.
  11. Thanks for all the input. I will see about getting it replaced. Shouldn't be a problem. It has not even been used. I was hoping for a repair type fix but that is ok. Thanks for all the input. 12. Jamie, I think me may be rained out but regardless I have work related issue that holds me back today. Sundays 3 gun I hope. Dave I checked the length from the catch hole to top of feed lips and its considerably longer compared to the .40 I don't know if that is an acceptable comparison. Sniperman I was thinking the same thing but was looking for advice before I started whittling a way at this brand new mag. Does anyone have the same two mags I’m comparing to tell me if the measurement from the top of the catch hole to the top of the feed lips is the same? Is this 9mm mag the same as a 38 super? Thanks you must have been reading my mind as I was typing. Yea, I noticed that no 2 are exactly. I think that the hole is so far off I may have the wrong mag or a bad mag. As the blurry pic shows it is about 1/16. Is a 1/16 of of an inch too much to open up the catch hole?
  13. I have a new SV mag that is too long. It will not lock in with slide forward. I'm new to the dbl stack mags. Unfortunately I do not have another just like it to compare. This a 9mm mag IN the picture the short one (right side) is a .40 I'm comparing to. Should a .40 and a 9 mm be the same length? That is about 1/16 of an inch diff. The lips look perfect other than 1/16 too long the entire length at the top.
  14. I bought the 550 a few months ago. I was using a 12 years old progressive RCBS press. Wow what a diff. 400 to 500 is plenty for me at one time.
  15. revchuck - you are correct 1.135. I corrected my post, thanks scout454 - i did check, Kead says .401 and they are My gut is telling me it is not the bullet or the barrel but how I have it loaded? I'm going to do some more searching on here for some lead loads, 155 and 180. when I started I did some searching and is seems that lead is not all that popular. What are some of your lead loads?
  16. I test loaded some Kead Lead 155 gr over 4.0 grains of Tight Group OAL 1.135 After market barrel in Glock 35. I also test shot this load in a STI last weekend. Both guns had about and inch of lead up the barrel. Not real bad but definitely lead. Very thick sticky looking too. Almost like the wax from the bullets is being left behind. I'm curious as to what some of you would recommend. My thoughts are load a little hotter and/or switch to a slower powder? Lets here what you think. I don't really know where to start. Love shooting and the feel of lead only I don't have much lead reloading experience. I have 2000 Lead 180 gr Kead that I'm loading up next. Any Ideas with these would be appreciated too.
  17. Too late. I widened out the funnel/feed ramp and polished the heck out of it. It looks better than chrome now. I think this should do it.
  18. I pulled the barrel and cleaned it up for inspection. There is quit a difference in the stock barrel feed ramp and the Storm Lake. I will widen it up some and polish it up better. I bet that will do the trick. I didn't think it would be so obvious. So much for the "drop in" part.
  19. I will polish it up and give it a try. It looks pretty nice now but I'll polish it some more I'm sure I can improve on it. I did not even think to see how tight or accurate it would shoot while at the range. I was focusing on malfunctions and how well I was shooting. Never thought or gave any doubt to the accuracy of the barrel. I did not notice any difference compared to my stock barrel just practicing at 15 yards. I only bought it so I would not have to worry about the lack of support but more importantly I want to shoot lead through it. What impacte will lead have with the feeding? They lead I ordered will be the flat point and round nose.
  20. Failure to feed. I guess should have made that clear in the first post, sorry
  21. I just installed a Storm Lake stock .40 drop in barrel in my 35. It dropped right in and seems to shoot fine except for a few FTFs. It was always a round in the middle of the mag somewhere so it appeared to be random. Three of us shot it at the range and had 2 or 3 FTF out of about 100 rounds each. We all were shooting yellow box UMC. Mags are almost new we were using. We did tap the mags to seat the rounds back in the mags. I have a lightened striker spring and the rest are stock. Gun was just cleaned and lubbed before heading to the range when I installed the barrel. Any help would be appreciated.
  22. Good point. Overlooked the obvious. I think I have some 231 left on the shelf. Seems like a good starting point. Thanks to all
  23. Seems most everyone agrees that TG is going to be smokey. Would like to control some of the smoke it possible. Man I was planning on using TG for my 40 w/ lead. I may have to reconsider. I was hoping for one powder for the both of us but no big of a deal. If you were going to choose between 231 or N320 is the cost diff worth it?? First time for me loading and shooting a bunch of lead. Have used mostly loaded jacketed in the past. Just looking to save some money and I like the way they feel when shooting.
  24. Hey, Long time Reader, First time poster. Thanks in advance. I just ordered some Kead 147 gr lead 9 mm to load up for my son. He will be shooting it in a Glock 35 with a Storm Lake 9mm barrel. I want a load that will be pleasent to shoot for him. What are some of your favorite loads? I do want them to make Minor just in case I want to shoot it some weekend. I have read there have been some accuracy challenges with the different powders as well with the 147gr. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
