  1. I bought 7k. had no issues yet.
  2. I have been using Loadmasters for 8 years now. Once you learn the in's and outs of the system it is relable.
  3. I bought mine from Graf & Sons. They are sold out. The 100 I tested worked fine.
  4. I would say it would equal a 4.2 load @ 1.100. I have run these at that short OAL with no problems except for a little more felt recoil. Should be safe. put no more than a very slight crimp if any, Berry's don't work well with heavy crimps. You may want to go to the TP HBRN when you use these up. These can be set to 1.125 and still chamber. The CZ is designed for the NATO spec. bullets used in that part of the world.
  5. I use 4.0grs. of W-231 with OAL of 1.100. Moves at around 1025 fps. works in a Glock chamber, they would engage the rifling in a CZ chamber because of the shape of the bullet. I have used the FP and the FPHB versions with good results. I have used as high as 4.2 grs depending on conditions.
  6. Hodgdon HP-38/winchester 231, viti N-320, Ramshot zip, AA No.2 or No.5 and bullseye will work in all those. I believe you will find over time that different powders work better in different loads and cals. Win. 231 and bullseye make a fine standard load in .45, however most folks like Hodgdon Clays or VV n-310. Titegroup works well in 9mm and .40S&W, not so well in .45ACP. VV N-320 is the gold standard in .40S&W, however the price may turn you away. the long and the short, their is no standard powder, read the fourm here and test loads. You will find what works for you.
  7. noylj, I was having problems with feeding the flat nose bullets, hense the change of OAL. I found that for the flat nose bullets, 1.100 works well in my glocks, however they will not fit into a CZ barrel. Just part of the process. For the 130 gr round nose I use 1.125 OAL. Also I am at 3.9 grs of Zip, burns dirty, will not buy anymore after this jug is gone.
  8. I have run these Barry's and they will run short on the oal. the flat point causes them to have a shorter oal. 1.090 is what I run them.
  9. Also, the OAL makes a big difference on ZIP. .050 more seating depth give me 80 more FPS. I can run lead 125gr bullets at 3.6 grs of charge and OAL at 1.125, however the Berrys 125FP is a shorter bullet, seated to 1.120 needs 3.9 to make PF. I have to push it down to 1.075 to get the pressure back up with the lighter load.I have had no problems other than learning what the powder wants and likes. Testing, testing, testing. The Berrys 125 gr HBFP is a longer bullet, It gives a good deep seating depth and still have a good OAL. I am testing Berrys 130gr RN currently just to see how it runs in a 9mm platform. So far so good. Test gun is a glock 17 with a Federal barrell.
  10. I am using zip on 124gr berry's. I am at 3.6 grs. I found it burns closer to titegroup that 231. I tried the same load as my 231 loads and they were hot, 142pf.
  11. I don't run wolf ammo, paying list price for components it runs $170 per thousand. I still have some older stuff, It cost me about $140. per thousand. A case of lake city runs about $400. I'll still reload my rounds.
  12. I see their is a new primer supplier on Powder Valley's website. Tulammo, $18 per thousand. Who is going to be the 1st to try? I think they should send out 100 each sample packs.
  13. You should be just over the power factor with that load.
  14. I have extra disks and open the holes untill I get the charge I am looking for, I keep these disks seperated from the stock ones. really not a problem since I always check the charge weight before making a run.
  15. lyman's resizing lube works better on rifle brass for me.
  16. All the ones I have had problems with lately are the brass plated steel from S&B.
  17. +1 on checking case length. I have had no issues since I started checking every case. Get a die to swedge the primer end on mil-spec cases. X-terminator works great on 55gr bullets and short barrels. <16
  18. 3.6 of titegroup, or 4.0 of w231. Loaded to 1.130 aol, light crimp. should be in the 150 pf range.
  19. 25.4 grs of 2460 with a 55 gr bullet out of a 24" barrel makes 3100fps. However 2460 is slow for a 16" barrel, 25grs of 2230 would work better.
  20. Page 18 of rulebook list any added weight is Illeagal, the brass part would be an added weight. The gun must fit inside the "box" and total weight of gun with mag. inserted cannot be over 43 oz.
