IMO the romeo 1 wins as far as glass clarity and true 1x. The venom to my eye has slight magnification. I'd look through both side by side if you could. The only thing that has kept me from a romeo so far is the stories of durability I have heard. If it wasn't for that I'd already own one!
Steiner p4xi is the closest to true 1x I have found. It may have to do with my astigmatism but with both eyes open I cant tell a difference. It's the first scope that I found I could shoot both eyes open on 1X
Ohh how excited I am for these. Especially if they have the same dimensions as the 21rd mags that come with the X5. They should come in around $20-$25 for the 22rd!!
So I picked up a used 1911 A2 in 9mm used today. Gun looks like it hasn't cleaned in a long while so my first thing is stripping it and giving it an ultrasonic cleaning. Secondly a few problems. It has the plastic main spring housing. I want a metal one and don't know which one will work. My second thing is the barrel. I am not sure if this is one of the new ramped barrels or if someone tried to ramp it. There is a small ramp in the frame and possibly one on the barrel. Rounds are nose diving into the frame from a couple of the mags. I wonder if Armscor would warranty this and replace it for a ramped barrel? If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it!!
So I'm looking to pick up a lightweight big from AIM. Has anyone used one of these? They have the nitride, NiB, and titanium. I have heard the NiB flakes so I'm looking at either the nitride or the titanium.
So I picked up my M3K a week ago and I have been practicing with it. I am completely new to 3 gun so I'm trying to figure out what's best for me to load shells. I have done weak hand load 4, weak l2 and quads and string l2 and quads. My problem is that when loading 2 or quads sometimes the shells are binding up as I insert. The lifter wants to push back down on them and hang up. Anyone else having this problem? Am in just not getting my angles down right? I also feel like i need to open the loading port more because sometimes I can't get the shells all the way into the catch. Any advice?
