  1. I’ve tuned my mags a little more than what Adam from atlas gun works recommends and I still have bullet diving issues. Doesn’t hang the gun up at all, but if I rack out a live round that’s just been fed, you see the bottom of the feed ramp impression on the bullet. Its been fine fine with no problem but I believe Adam when he says the ramp is insurance. Check out his videos and go from there. Like I said, I’ve tuned mine a tad bit further than he recommends. No issues ever.
  2. I’ve reloaded thousands of the same brand of Polly coated bullets for years now and I’ve always had problems but just dealt with it. Now it’s the off season I want to get it squared away before I start loading in mass quantity again. I just ran 100 Polly coated bullets through my hundo gauge and they all fit. But when I reload those bullets 5-7 of them won’t fit. Now some take some convincing and if you work some of them in and out, you can see where some of the Polly cost has come off. Some of them are real bad and if you really work it in and now of the gauge, a chunk of lead will come out and the bullet will fit no problem. So I think I’ve narrowed the problem to my dies. I have a EGW under size die, mini mr bullet feeder powder flare, mini mr bullet feeder sets a bullet on the case, then a Dillon seater die seats the bullet, and a Dillon crimp die to end the process. This is all on a 650. But if my bullets all fit through my hundo gauge, then they should fit once the actual round is complete right? So something in the reloading process isn’t aligning true. Help, I use these bullets to practice and only use extremes for matches and I’ve NEVER had this issue with extremes. OAL for both of these bullets is 1.188-1.191. Any help would be great.
  3. i really want a vortex pst gen 2 (not the rediculously expensive one) but wondering if the strike eagle would be good for 3gun. Putting the finishing touches on my rifle and might want to test the 3gu waters for the first time next spring.

  5. Winter is here and it’s time to lead rifle cases. Never loaded them with my 650 and wondering if you guys lube your unsized cases then put them into your case feeder. Not sure on how to do this efficiently because I’m thinking my feeder and tube will get all gunned up. What so do you guys do? Im loading .223, 308, 3006, 7.5x55 Swiss.
  6. 5.7 grains got me around 930 FPS with a 180gr bullet back in August for Area 8 and again in may for a sectional match. Now that same load is averaging 910 FPS with the same bulllet. I know the cold negatively affects bullets but that seems like a lot. This is the first time if ever shot a fall uspsa match so I had to reason to track this. Is this normal? Im using a Win. WSF pushing a 180 extreme bullet.
  7. That's exactly what I was doing and the hammer was falling when I was testing the reset.
  8. My 1911 was having hammer follow so long story short I bought a new wolf dear spring. Dropped it in and cycled the slide as fast as I could to see if that was the problem. The hammer still followed the slide and now I'm wondering if it's the hammer and sear that's the issue. I had had a cheap trigger job done a couple years ago and I'm wondering if the parts just wore out. I don't shoot it that much and have it because I'm American. Do do you guys think it's the hammer and sear? It's a kimber custom 2 with stock trigger parts besides the wolf spring I just put in.
  9. Was using 5.7 grains of wsf and was wondering what POPULAR powder do you use to make major? popular meaning the odds are pretty good the local gun shop will have it. I want to switch to save money on how much powder goes in each case.
  10. So I just installed a battle comp on my WOA barrel with a brand new crush washer. I installed the washer right and had the tapered end pointing towards the rear of the rifle and even before I started cranking, I knew it was going to be close. Just Hand tighting the timing wasn't even close. I installed it right and started cranking, then backed off and started cranking again. It's timed right now but the washer is fully crushed and I'm worried that it's now to tight. Even if its to tight, the timing is even with the rest of the gun. Am am I going to have issues with this?
  11. I forget what model it was. I don't think it was the new one tho and this happened right around this time last year. Worst experiece ever. There really wasn't any excuse why they couldn't give me a CED timer of equal value. Instead they screwed menright at the start of the season.
  12. I had one and it worked fine for about 6 months then it started to have problems. I didn't expect it to be perfect and it was under warrentee so I got in contact with DAA and CED. I got the run around because DAA kept saying they couldn't find anyone to manufacture the watch blah blah blah and kept telling me that they should be ready to replace my watch next month then next month.... 4 months later they finally replaced my watch and I sold it once I got the replacement. After that I won't buy anything electronic from DAA. Hopefully they fixed the bugs but take it for what it's worth. I had to spend another $200 bucks that could have been spent on primers, bullets, powder but had to buy a replacement timer because at the time I didn't know when they would be sending a replacement. Very frustrating.
  13. I'm an A class shooter who's going to be knocking on the door of master by the end of the summer but my footwork need improvement. Other than bringing a camera to video dryfire and live fire practice entry and exit drills, what else are you guys doing to work on your footwork?
  14. Building a 3G gun and wondering if anyone has any experience or would recommend these parts listed in the title. I already have have an adjustable gas block for whatever bcg and buffer system I go with. Any help would be great.
  15. Title says it all. I need a 22 trainer for my 2011 limited gun. Anyone have any experience with this?
  16. In my videos I'm taking when I go to the range I'm not "riding the recoil" when I transition to the next target. For example on my second shot on a target I'm waiting for the gun to settle on the target I just shot and then transitioning to the next target. What can I do to help fix this? I know I can shave off at least a tenth of a second in transition time by fixing this problem.
  17. Im very slowly putting together a 3G rifle and was wondering what BCGs are guys running. Ive seen really expensive ones for $450+ and was wondering if its really worth spending all that money. Also would buying a light weight BCG force me to buy a crazy expensive bolt also or can I get away with a regular bolt that head spaces? Also what are you guys running as far as buffer systems? All .223 caliber.
  18. Went from a 550 to a 650 for pistols but I had crazy great consistency loading rifle with my 550. I just don't shoot a ton of rifle compared to pistol so it made sense to make the switch. Havent started loadimg 308 or 3006 but I'm crazy anal about my OAL for both. +- .005 is the most ill take for loading my 308. I could get that no problem with my 550 all day long but even loading pistol with the 650 I'm taking a hit in OAL in exchange for speed. Obviously I want consistency with my 308 loads. Anyone have ang any problem achieving this? What cheap single stage press would you guys recommend that gets great consistency?
  19. Great .005-.007. I'm really disappointed in the lack of consistency I'm getting tho. My 550 was +- .003 MAX. The 650 is +- .006. It sucks loading for major and flirting with how long I can load before the bullet is shoved into the lands and starts causing pressure issues.
  20. Found out the problem and just like I figured, 100% complete user error. Just embarrassing. The little clip that spits out a live round was under the shell plate screw. Just embarrassing, but I swear I'm safe on the range! Lol
