  1. Thinking about going a tad bigger both front and rear. Rear is a .115 and front is .100. I originally wanted as small as possible for precision on steel and long range paper targets. As im typing this out I guess I should see where my deviation is if I put that front dot as far left and as far right, (while still seeing the dot) breaking the shot and see how far my deviation is from the A zone at let's say 15 yards. Would going bigger help keep the shot in the center because there's not as much "air" in between the rear and front sight that would induce user error while shooting faster? What size sights do you guys run on your competition guns?
  2. What kind of bullet weight do you suffer to start our loading 9mm? Have a sig 226 and want to start plinking loads only. Didn't know if it would be worth it to buy a heavier bullet to save powder or a lighter bullet to save cost.
  3. I reload and can tune all my loads but I need a ar15 barrel that consistently shoots sub moa. What do you guys recommend?
  4. My barrel needs some love and was going to coat it black. I'm worried that the heat from the barrel will cook off the coating. Anyone weigh in on this?
  5. I love extreme bullets because the weights are really consistent. There's a local shop where I buy 180 grain pollycoated bullets for range ammo caus the weights are never at 180. They are 175,173,176 never at 180. Are blue bullets the same way?

  7. Figure I can get a sv metal trigger on it without fitting and filing.
  8. I am swapping uppers and taking the barrel off a ar15 that I've shot a ton and moving it to a new upper. This new upper will have the same bolt assembly as the older upper. Do I need to guage this?
  9. Funny you say that cause WSF is what I use. You had MORE bullet to load a 165 grain than a 180 or 200?
  10. Been loading 180 grain with 5.6 grains of WSF for 2 years now and it's always works. Accurate and dependable. Looking on extremes website and the $6.50 extra for 500 rounds would maybe give me an extra 3,500 grains per pound of powder. Cost wise it would be worth it but wanted to see what others say about loading and shooting it. What at length are you getting out of the bullet? My STI is functioning great at a 1.165 coal and I haven't messed with it. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I don't have time to mess with loads so help is needed for sure.
  11. Thinking about wet tumbling my pistol brass that I use for matches.. I'm talking about going the extra mile and popping out primers before, the whole 9 yards. I figure it couldn't hurt to give the brass a little more "slick" feeling for feeding along with consistent primer depths because all the garbage is out before hand. Does anyone do this?
  12. I do notice a difference when I shoot a mag or 2 before a match. My home range is the only place this happens tho cause I don't have access to other ranges to do this.
  13. I shoot limited and have a very reliable gun. I sold my back up gun in hopes of buying a really sweet metal grip limited gun and making my main gun my back up. Now that I have the funds to buy my new gun to start the 2017 season, I'm having second thoughts. I really don't want to spend $3500-$4k on a new USPSA gun. So I hit the used market and use the gun I would purchase as my back up. Even now I am having second thoughts even spending half that on a gun that's just going to sit in my range bag/safe and never using it. Wanted a second opion from more experienced shooters on this topic. ( 3rd season shooting USPSA.)
  14. I shot quite a bit of uspsa matches this season and was wondering if I should order all new springs once spring comes. I haven't noticed any funky wear on my sti and all my mbx factory mags still feed just as reliably as when I first got them from the factory. Would you guys go one more season with these springs? Every spring in the gun and mags all have 1 seasons wear on them.
  15. Looking at different limited guns and I dont understand how a upgraded barrel will improve accuracy within 35 yards. Also if people are being honest in their USPSA matches they rarely shoot that far anyway, which goes back to the question of whats the difference? I have a stock STI barrel for example in the limited gun I shoot now. Other than a different name on the barrel, (KKM Shuman etc.) whats the process they do to make their barrels "out perform" the STI barrels?
