  1. So my dies are tight and so is the shell plate. I screwed the plate all the way tight then backed off 1/16 of a turn like I've read on the forum. I'm loading 40 and looking for a window of 1.175-1.178 is acceptable. When I set the die I'm only putting one shell in the shell plate to get it set. Once it is set, I load the entire plate with cases to make sure everything is set properly. Once I verify it, I start loading. Once I check a couple rounds I'm getting spreads from 1.168-1.180. Wtf? I called Dillon and they said .020 is acceptable in their manual. Wtf because I had a 550 and that sucker was spot on. Also, sometimes I would load a single round to check and see (with an empty shell plate) and it would seat the bullet all the way in the case? Any help would be great.
  2. Ok cool..email me your phone number and I can send you my address so you can buy me one..sounds like your rolling it in anyway maybe you can help a brother out
  3. Title says it all. $100 is rediculous for a pair of reverse pliers and a hammer. I can buy all those parts, but what do you guys use to slide in your tube to hammer the lips inward?
  4. So you do have to fill out paperwork even tho the gun is off the books?
  5. If I were to take a 80% lower and finish it myself to make an off the books gun, could I also make it into a 10" sbr without filling out paper work?
  6. I HATE the word tactical. I refuse to go into any store or look on any website if it has the word "tactical" attached.
  7. You come to the end of the course and you have to make a hard lean around a baracade to shoot the last target. You shoot twice as your leaning out of the shooting area and right as your foot hits the ground to catch you from falling over you fire the 3rd shot and it ends up on the target. Now no one knows where it hit on the target so how do you score it? There are a total of 3 holes on target. Can you give me the rule number also in the book?
  8. I've always used FRN and it works fine but was at a match where a guy shooting limited was using hollow point extremes. What are the pros/cons?
  9. So I'm at the range and I shot a guys open 9mm steel gun and it was really sweet. But this guy didn't have a comp on his gun and I asked why before I shot it. Then I shot his bunny fart loads and I noticed very minimal dot movement. So I don't understand why open guys shoot a higher velocity bullet to work the comp when they can just run crazy low bunny fart loads like this guy at steel matches.
  10. Sorry for the stupid question but I know the evo grip is new and didn't know if the dementions changed. Just wanted to make sure and none of the online retailers know. I'm still waiting on DAA but I'm impatient.
  11. Lol your Matt the GM! This is Nick Reynolds
  12. Hey! I am right down the road from lower prov. I go to new holland, ountelaunee and southern Chester.
  13. I didn't know they were there till i opened the box and saw them. They were proven and worked in all my 9mms. No they were not exposed to moisture. Im not sure if the oal was the same because I know I have tweeked the oal over time.
  14. I shot some 2 year old 9mm hand loads last week and it didn't even cycle the slide. The load was proven and I've shot thousands of them but these wouldnt even cycle the slide. they were 115 lead bullets with 4.2 gr of WSF
  15. Just got my grip in the mail and it has no chance of fitting on this stripped lower I bought. I have to remove material to fit but didn't know if this was normal or not.
  16. It's happened when I have done unloaded start drills. so I think the one I cycle into the gun is the culprit
  17. I'm using reloaded dummy rounds for weight. I shoot 180 grai bullets and I'll load a mag that is meant for dryfire with 15 reloaded 200 grain bullets that have been sized but has no powder or primer so it mimicks the weight of a full loaded mag that's ready to fire.
  18. That makes total sense and looking back that's what happened. Before I noticed the bent pin, I dryfired and the gun locked up like the bullet got jammed into the barrel.
  19. It does not have a spent primer in it. I punched it out during sizing and didn't put anything back in. I was thinking it might be hitting the edge but then why does all the spent cases have the pin hitting in the middle of the primer?
  20. I've never had this problem before. I dunno if it's because when I'm loading dummy rounds in and the pin it's something hard and bends? I don't know what the pin is hitting to bend it. This one was a Dawson extended pin. This is the second pin I have to buy now in less than a month. Wtf? I bent this one back so it's someone straight and was going out tomorrow regardless to shoot so we will see.
