  1. First things cant be hurting to much I just watched the Iowa section match sell out in less then 24 hours for a September match date and my section match opened 4 hours ago and is way over half sold out. So people think they will have ammo to keep shooting. Second my club is looking to lower total average round count for this year we are going to aim for 100 rounds for a 5 stage match vs 125-140.
  2. Thank you that is just the input I was looking for.
  3. I got a slot from my section and it will be my first ever nationals any thoughts on am/pm/am vs pm/am/pm I tend to be a morning person so my thoughts are the am option and that is where Im at now but looking for input form others. In the past I have shot any level 3 I could in a one day format Area 3 I always go with the Friday only slots vs the sat/sunday.
  4. Im currently doing just that with west-tone defend ear x5s. Insurance is a no go but you can use flex spending money if you get your Doc to right a letter of medical necessity. My don had no problem doing it for me.
  5. You are right. I thought I was responding to my add looking to buy a DAA back pack. My bad sorry
  6. Working up a new 45 major load for SS Gun sig max 45 230gr blue bullets RN powder E3 OAL 1.225 weather 45 sunny loaded up 4 lots last night to test looks like I started to high. 3.7gr 9 shot avg 182.3 PF 797 fps 825 max 780 min 3.8gr 8 shot avg 185.0 PF 811 fps 833 max 795 min 3.9gr 8 shot avg 188.8 PF 827 fps 860 max 801 min 4.0gr 8 shot avg 191.8 PF 839 fps 848 max 830 min All way to high PF so using that I dropped down some Temp 55 all other date same Match gun 3.4gr 10 shot avg 172.7 PF 754 fps 768 max 727 min 3.5gr 9 shot avg 174.7 PF 767 fps 818 max 722 min backup/practice gun 3.4gr 10 shot avg 173.4 PF 757 fps 781 max 734 min 3.5gr 10 shot avg 174.5 pf 770 fps 814 max 744 min All data collected from a lab radar I plan to use the 3.4 load as it meets my load minimums of 5 PF over the floor with all rounds making the minimum for PF. I was also surprised how fast its running here based on my online research and past experience running E3 in 9mm minor and 40 major and minor I was thinking 3.8 or 3.9 would be the right spot. What I did find to be inline with the past loading was the the min and max spread seams to get smaller the harder E3 is pushed

  8. That last part brings to mind do you give local ROs cash as they don't have a hotel? My first thought is no your covering cost not paying them right.
  9. I have never worked a level 2 my club is looking into holding one nest year from a ROs point of view would you rather have a room provided and get stuck with a roommate or be given some amount of per diem and have to find your own place? Same for luch more cash to bring your own or some form of food be it subs and cookie or what ever.
  10. All case heads looked good.
  11. Looks close but I found sig oe I can use until EGW gets new ones.
  12. No all brass reloads at 135-140 pf
  13. To talk to sig they would have to pick up the phone when I call or return an email sometime. As far as fitment everything looks great no peening or burs or shiny spots at all.
  14. I dont want to have to replace the one in my practice backup gun more than once a year. A external extractor should last a long time. Iv got glocks that have 40K plus from when I was shooting prod on the extractor that came with the gun. Have two that went about 10K each before needing replacement is just a crap part as for as I can tell. Not sure if its just to soft of metal or what but they get worn down fast.
  15. Only one I have been able to find was EGW.
  16. Rep I talked to said they pulled them as they are backed up and no solid ETA on new ones hope is for 3 months or so.
  17. If I can get someone at sig on the phone I will try and get a few. So far over two calls I've spent 90 minutes on hold. They are only open hours I work so no chance to just sit on hold until they pick up.
  18. Talked to EGW and I am not the only one. Some problem with the steel. Said send them back for a full refund. They also said hopping to have new ones in a few months.
  19. Not even one time. The last one that I broke today had less then two matches and one 500 round practice on it. I put it in less than two weeks ago.
  20. I will call EGW tomarow and see what they say before I do anything. Rolex - Over all Im happy with the Max but I will say this from a keep an eye on stand point. I have shot both front sights on my 9mm lose I have now penned over the dove tail to lock them in place. I have also found that the stock slide stop tends to ride over the mag follower if follower gets to dirty.
  21. So maybe the tip is getting ripped off and I just need to file it back a bit?
  22. Im shooting Sig Max 1911s for single stack. The oem extractor started to fail at around 10k and was very rounded and worn down. I found the EGW was the only after market replacement part and it was also reported as better than Sigs. So I ordered 7 extractors and pin and spring sets. (I have 2 9mms and 2 45s pulse a few spares) Now less than 3K rounds later Iv broken 3 of them. EGW replaced the one I have sent back no questions. The hook broke on all three. Do you need to fit a external extractor? I thought it was plug and play. I can tell the hook is bottoming out on the grove and not the rim of the case so the hook is overly long. Im going to call EGW Monday and try and find out if Im doing it wrong or if they had a bad run. I still have two here are some pics the out side two are the broken ones and the middle is a new one. Thoughts?
  23. I ended up with this one and have built over 4 stages with on battery. Only problem I have had is some of our older nails have big heads and it slips off some times. I love the thing just wish it did not cost so much. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAZQUEO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with this to drive them. I did have to cut it way down and man that is some hard steel to cut. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QPGZS8K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
