  1. After thinking about this from what I've seen all Troy really said was a modular frame and plastic grip did not disqualify it. He did not say it fit. How long is the dust cover. All I'm saying is see if it fits all the rules.
  2. I can see a little advantage to a wide-body grip maybe but I shoot 1911 size guns better due to my hand size a bigger grip would not help me. I can maybe see reloads being a little easier but not much if it's still a single stack magazine. We already have huge magwells for single stack guns.
  3. Dose this thing really make weight and fit the box? If so who cares.
  4. I think your right on 19-04 19-02 I dont think will be a big deal as the only thing the walls do is stop a 180 violation on the right and left targets. So as long as they are set to run up-range along the fault line it wont mater. The start position is heels touching real fault line Im guessing the way to shoot it is left and right front target then hall ass up front.
  5. @shred. I agree I just think the cheep brass will be gone but as long as limited is around 40 will not totally die. One other to thing to consider is that all the old LE guns are floating around one the second hand market. I have picked up 2 Glock 22s for 250.00 for cheep house guns. So there will be some demand but price will be going up. @konkapot. True it will be around but I'm already seeing people hord it and I resell all the range brass from my local public range and 3 years ago I was getting 3 to 1 9 to 40 by weight. This year I got 105 lbs of 9 and 8 lbs of 40. So it seems to be dropping fast.
  6. This is true to a point but 3 years ago in my area the only large city PD, state DOC, sheriffs office, troopers, game and fish all carried 40. As of today the troopers and us at the sheriffs office are the only ones using 40 and we are going to 9 as soon as the dealer that won the bid can get 85 glock 17 and 30 glock 19 delivered to us. The troopers just got new guns a few years ago so they my stay with 40 for a bit longer. 5 to 10 years and 40 will be all but dead in LE
  7. As more and more Law Enforcement move to 9 form 40 I think we will start to see 40 drying up but I think it will be a very long time until for turns into the next 38 supper. I also think any market there is for 9mm will have the bottom fall out of it. For the second year in a row I bought all the brass my local range could not sell to members for just over scrap and only got 5 lbs of 40 but got 100lbs of 9mm
  8. 3.7 under a 125 blue tc averages 1075 out of my 1911
  9. Im running a Red Hill Tac for my max
  10. my local level 2 is 85.00 and they dont have a lot for extras and Im just fine with that keep the price down.
  11. Ya I'm hoping to find a good USPSA holster I really like my RHT.
  12. I guess it is what it is and I have heard of ranges doing something like this but never for anyone with a classification.
  13. What sort of pass do you need to get.
  14. I shoot a sig max 1911 in uspsa and use a Springfield range officer as a backup gun. It will sort of fit my rht sig 1911 holster if I lossen the tension knobs way out. Dose any know of a holster maker that can customize a holster to fit both. I contacted rht but they don't have anything.
  15. yep just what I saw in front sight.
  16. Only info I have seen is next spring in Talladega at camp range in a front sight add.
  17. Has anyone seen any info other than that date and place posted and or info on other big matches that have been shot there.
  18. My club reimburses for the class as well. The closes class to my club is about 3 hours away every year so it still means a night or two in a hotel that is not reimbursed but it dose help.
  19. Just got a pair after Area 3 and have used them a few times. overall I like them. I dont know that they would be good for ROing a open gun or and indoor range but for shooting out doors I really like how much cooler they are then my MSA Sordins.
  20. They may not get to shoot. The club can set registration how they want and Shooters will be ok with that and shoot or go some place different.
  21. We just started taking online payment but are not requiring it. But I will say it speeds up check in. On match day I print a list with prepay peoples info. They can just check in and check the info and dont have to stop on talk me witch helps keep the line short. If you pre pay and cant make it I refund your money less the stripe fee so club dose not lose cash on refunds.
  22. I had this problem with my 9mm sig max and ordered a new slide stop to fix it. For me it was only if I shot so the mag was empty not necessarily to slid lock just the last round had to come out of the mag and the follower was slipping over the top of the slid stop.
