  1. My new 1050 is a champ but after loading about 1,000 rounds I found 4 rounds where the primer got seated sideways and then got slightly shaved as the round moved through. I am loading CCI 500 small pistol primers into 9 mm range brass. I was able to pry out one of them -the pocket seems clean enough. Anybody have experience with this? What do I need to do? Not worried about losing 4 rounds but the primer could go off accidentally.
  2. +1 to recommendations above. I have bought the parts and done a few CZ's myself. I usually get the following depending on model and intended use of the gun: Springs - reduced main spring, trigger spring, de cocker lever spring (if needed, get a few - this one flies easily), sear spring, FP spring, and FP block spring (if you need it) Pins: trigger slave pin, sear cage slave pin, trigger pin, FP retaining pin (if needed), a few hammer pins Other parts: race hammer, extended FP, tuned FP block lever, and upgraded disco (if needed). Tools to polish. Flitz A few punches, hammer and vice. I think you can get a very comparable outcome by doing it yourself in a few hours. First time took me 4 hours since I was learning, my last one (sp01) took an hour. At a recent steel match, compared my SP01 home tuned to a friend's professionally tuned. Guess which one was unanimously gaged to be better done?

    10 round mag springs

I just installed Wolff +5% springs - wow, very nice on my 10 rd TS / CM mag with Springer base.
  4. Very nice, thanks Quack! Great quality and easy on / off. Numbering was just an extra dollar. Fits well on my CM with mag well. The only thing on my wish list is a spring activated rather than hex key lock. But I love these, well worth the money and definitely better than bases from other vendors.
  5. I have ordered twice. Fast and very reliable. It arrives faster ( in 5 calendar days) than anything I order with regular shipping from CZ USA or CZ Custom.
  6. Looks like they have changed the CM specs - both mine are made in 2015.
  7. Update - CZ USA was incorrect (on the phone) regarding the FP spring for my CM. I pulled out the original (as came installed) and it is definitely a RAMI FP spring. I compared this spring after about 5k rounds, and it is a little over 22 mm and 0.53 mm thick. Brand new RAMI spring is about 24 mm and 0.53 mm thick, while the 75 standard FP spring is about 19 mm and 0.67 mm thick. Just in case anybody needs this info. I just replaced my FP spring and recoil spring to mark the 5k anniv.
  8. 11 lb feels lighter than factory - so perhaps both my CM's were 14 lb to 15 lb recoil as shipped from the factory. where did you get the 10 lb recoil info from? I just spoke with CZ USA after trying multiple times. FP is pre B standard, and main spring is also 75 standard.
  9. Just checked my round count and my first CM (nick name Blue) just finished its small 5K anniversary. Still looks like new and I am hoping to shoot it for a very long time! Has eaten all sorts of ammo so far - factory, commercial reloads, home grown reloads. Have had just one jam, caused by me - shooting with my weak hand for the first time in my life and I could not control the frame enough. Otherwise exceptionally flawless. Very impressed! Every CZ I have owned has been flawless like this - PO1, BD, SP-01.. 11 lb recoil, rest are factory springs and I am going to continue with the Limited minor set up. I am beginning to think about perhaps replacing the recoil and FP spring just because. I think the FP spring is a reduced power RAMI spring, need to check. Anybody know for sure?
  10. Nice, thanks! These work with a competition mag well (eg on CM)?
  11. Does anybody make a competition mag base (like on the right) for CZ TS / CM ? Looking for something that will fit 10 round mags. Henning's Tanf large frame mag base is pretty close to fitting but doesn't. Perhaps with a little machining but I don't want to go down that path. Interested in a mag base I can quickly remove and fit back for cleaning during competitions.
  12. Hi - thanks for the responses. To clarify - 1. I have no issues on the pre travel side 2. with factory trigger, I have 2 mm play for overtravel and there is no issue. So after the sear is fully activated, the trigger can move back an additional 2 mm before the trigger hits the frame. >> I think 2 mm is the least overtravel allowance I have seen in my guns. Most seem to have 3 mm+ 3. With Henning flat trigger, this 2 mm play goes down to 1 mm, which is really borderline. It means occasionally the sear is not fully activated by the time the trigger hits the frame.
  13. Bump - in case the experts missed this... What is the over travel allowance on Elite Limited from the factory, can some one check?
  14. I ran into an issue with my brand new Limited Elite after various upgrades, incl Henning flat trigger system. Essentially there isn't adequate overtravel allowance once I install the Henning flat, after backing out both screws. The allowance is about 1.1 mm, which means I am occasionally getting an issue of trigger not releasing the sear. I went back to stock, and the allowance is about 2 mm, which should work better. I rechecked my findings and confirmed. So- 2 mm max is not a healthy overtravel allowance from the factory - IMHO. It's more than 3 mm in all of my other guns. Then the Henning fit reduces it down to just over 1 mm, which is too small for reliability. I have gently polished the trigger bar and plunger but left the hammer and sear alone. Only other mod worth mentioning is FP block removal because Henning Extended FP would not fit. Anybody have ideas on what I should do? Rework the sear / hammer fit thru the factory or an LGS - using replacement parts as needed?
  15. This sounds strange. CM is hand made from TS frame. The inside of trigger guard is not modified. All factory triggers are listed for both models. Trust me, I measured the plastic, flat with curved tip, and flat all through triggers straight from CZ UB. When I find time, I will post the pics.
  16. Congrats! When you do your CM, just be sure to buy the right type of flat trigger - there is a 1.5mm to 2mm length difference between the TS flat and the CM flat (which has a slightly curled edge just like the plastic trigger). The longer TS trigger does not work well in the CM - it bottoms out of leaves insufficient clearance for over travel.
  17. Finished all my upgrades which cost me about 550 dollars. About 2.5 lb crisp trigger. This is similar to a CZ Tactical Sports but souped up ofcourse! Upgrades: Henning: Flat (adjustable) trigger system, trigger bar plunger spring, Conefit custom guide rod, extended firing pin, aluminum mag bases, 13 # hammer spring, 8.75 # recoil spring Grauffel: Xtreme grips + screws, Xtreme fiber front sight (much better than factory fiber front sight) + and a few hours of work. I also got a thumb rest as shown from Double Alpha Academy - have never had one, so eager to see what difference it makes... Only hiccup seems to be that the Extended FP from Henning does not seem to fit in channel with the stock FP safety block. I think the dimension fit is tight and needs to be relieved on the safety block. Any body have experience with this? For the time being, i just left the block out, since this is a range / competition gun. http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag78/sigmover/Tanfoglio_1_zpsnwbatbgv.jpg http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag78/sigmover/Tanfoglio_2_zps7ni4ipj1.jpg http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag78/sigmover/Tanfoglio_3_zpsc7ihsl8z.jpg
  18. The challenge in my case with the fixed rear for CM was to find a tall enough FO - needed something at least 8 mm ( .244 inch tall) in a P09 style - nobody makes this. Option was to either get an adjustable lower profile rear or monkey with trimming the rear sight height and potentially the slide top. Your mileage may vary.
  19. The slide cut is similar to an LPA dovetail but some trimming will need to be done in order to make it work.CZC sells an adjustable rear sight for $60 but it seems like it has been out of stock for a while. What type of trimming? Normal sight fitting type work or work on the slide itself? I'm interested in this myself, the TS is possibly going to be my next gun but, I don't like the stock sights. Kensight LPA cut for 1911's is the adjustable sight available inthe market that fits the TS and CM. CZ UB is now selling something similar but you will save money in shipping and get a better deal in the US.
  20. Thanks all, I ordered the loctite stick and a degreaser / cleaner. Will give this a whirl. In my 1911's - over travel screw loctite has always been do and forget. I think the screws get more banged up in the CZ hence need to be glued in more aggressively.
  21. I apply directly to the screw, put it in, adjust, and let it sit. With a pointed Qtip I wipe off anything that comes out the other end. What's the right approach?
  22. Did a local match yesterday with my CM. Almost got DQ'ed first stage when adrenalin overcame the 1.5 lb trigger close to the target, but it ran amazingly well in the limted config. Fast! One small issue I ran into and diagnosed later - a couple of times in the middle of a mag, the trigger did not move - I might have pressed again one time and racked again the next - and the trigger moved in both cases and launched the hammer. I turned the pre travel screw half a turn during a break in the match and this never happened again. My question - what's the best way to secure the pre travel and post travel screws in the aluminum triggers I have? Loctite is messy on such small screws and I know 6 months ago, did not work on a P01 custom trigger - still came loose during rapid shooting. I kinda like the white adhesive CZ UB seems to add to screws - if this is some heavy gel, it might work better. Not sure what this is or where to get it. Recommendations please!
  23. I would love to shoot some pre ban mags with my CM. do I need something to keep the CZ 75 mags steady in the bigger CM mag well?
  24. Thanks for the tip! Will check. Also have a spare incoming to switch out during the next detailed strip whenever that occurs. Switched back to black mag well - highlights the tacky blue better. OMG can't believe I am into gun fashion rather than practicing fast reloads
  25. Link to CZ UB page which shows the colored short checkered grips at the bottom. http://www.shop-cz.com/exec/search.aspx?exps=Ts+grip&SearchType=Fulltext
