TJ, Emanuel and the rest of the group- First off, I want to apologize for my previous post. It was purely written on emotion and was simply out of character for me. I thought there were much more to your comments/this thread and that is why I reacted the way that I did. It was speculation on my part and I would be happy to speak with you both in person to fill you in further. I do appreciate your honesty and you are entitled to your opinion. Again, I thought there was much more to this and you have every right to post an AAR of your experience. It's just the way things were written and how the list of events unfolded that made me think it was more than just an AAR. Again, I apologize for my comments and I look forward to clearing things up with you in person sometime soon as email, posts, etc... can be easily taken out of context. Hey Guys, Here are our comments from Double Impact... First off, I want to thank Ari for putting together a great class and amazing stages. It was the best club match I have ever shot and easily could have been a sectional or a mini Area Championship. Also, it is extremely hard to put together a full class while balancing everyone's work schedule, personal life, range conflicts, etc... I believe it was clear Ari gave his all to not only host our class but to give us the best possible stages to shoot on Sunday. The fact that weather was a big issue and the range (shotgun shooters making tons of noise) is out of our and Ari's control. Sure, I would love to have a club house for the classroom portion in all of our courses but it just isn't possible. Due to the weather giving us slightly a late start while waiting for the remaining students to get there, Travis and I stayed running our drills with the class until 7:00pm or 7:30pm on day 1. That's just how we do business. We train to standard and not to time. Emanuel and TJ- Can you guys honestly say you got nothing from the course and should have purchased bullets instead? What a joke. I know for a fact we changed many of things on each of you. You see, as a World Champion and top instructors it was easy to pick out your closed minded/ better than everyone else attitudes as you stood during the entire classroom portion with your arms folded. That is not a personal attack on you but it happens from time to time. It is important that Travis and I can identify these individuals and give them as much constructive criticism as possible. I remember changing a great deal on each of you guys which is why I find this post so weird. I felt really good about working with each of you and think you both have potential. The course that you guys had us run is our custom course. I feel our standard 2 day courses gives much more instructing time for each of the students. However, during the match we did give critiques as shooters came off of the stages. I personally remember walking individuals through the stages not only before they shot but also immediately following their run and showing them the mistakes they made and how to correct them. Remember, it was a large match with technical stages and time was an issue as there were nearly 100 shooters to run through during the day. The squad following us had already skipped us once during the match as we were taking so much time due to critiques and extra walk thru time. I understand you are upset that I haven't posted here (I am not active in this forum at all) and that I haven't emailed you back. You said you emailed me on 5/26 but look at your first post in this forum. You posted here on the 26th as well. Meaning, you gave me no time at all to handle this in a professional manner through email or by phone. You instead immediately went on to the largest forum of our sport, which is how Travis and I provide for our families and trashed us. I would have been happy to work with you and even offer you and TJ both to join us next time we are in the area for our standard 2 day course (both days of instructing, free of charge) so you would get more instructing time instead of 1 day of teaching and a long second day of only shooting 8 stages. However, you didn't give me anytime to react. We took personal offense to the way you handled this situation and wish things could have worked out differently. That said, we listen to all of our course critiques that are sent in to us and take what we can from them to make us better. In fact, since the WA course we have taught 3 other courses with some of your comments in mind and the students gave us standing ovations and amazing feed back. Therefore, I thank you for your honesty and feed back from our class in WA. I truly hope you can open your minds to the vast amount of information that Travis and I gave during the course which will allow your game to go to the next level. We wish you both the best of luck and would like the opportunity to work with you again in the future. BE- Thanks for the congrats. Yes, I shot our 1911 Single Stack SIG SAUER in 38 super put together by Dan Bedell as we don't offer a 1911 Open gun as of yet. This was the first year I shot a single stack and fell in love with it in training. This pistol and other models will be available soon. I am honored to join such an elite group of Jethro, Doug, and Burner as the only shooters to capture the cup 3 times. I look forward to training for my 4th! Take care, M2

Hey Guys, I don't unsually hang out in the forums but occasionally I have some friends send me links that they think I should view. I also let a lot of things roll off my back that I see posted about my self or friends of mine and to be honest, I'm kind of tired of it. Kyle, and Jake... It is one thing to talk about a subject but to talk about someone or something that you truly know nothing about is another. It would be like me saying how do you know your mental game is so great and strong if it hasn't been tested at the highest level? Sure, anyone has a good mental game when nothing is on the line exept a class win. However, I wouldn't say that about you or anyone else because I don't know all the facts about that indiviual. People have their own struggles and use various things to motivate them. What kind of mental game do you think it takes to place top 3 OVERALL in your last 10 National Championships and actually win 4 of them? How about nearly 30 Area Championship wins? Or 2 World Speed Shooting Championships, and by the way... when you're in the box for your last 4 runs, $40,000 is on the line? That's right, you have no idea. I'm not here to argue and I won't be back posting in this area of the forum again. Just remember, there is great info posted here for new shooters and lots of people read what goes on here and including plenty of top shooters that let it go, but make sure to be courteous to them with your expert comments. Hello, Due to scheduling conflicts with the South River Gun Club, we have decided to cancel the Steel match at Ft. Benning on the 5th of August. On Sept. 1st the range committee will have a meeting and decide if the Steel matches will be something we continue to do. I will keep you all posted! Hey Guys, It's Max Michel, Jr. here. Thanks for all your concerns. For the most part, the immediate family is ok but we are still having trouble reaching some family and friends. As far as the damage... They lost everything! My parents lost 2 houses, vehicles, guns, clothes, EVERYTHING! I hope to get them back on their feet as soon as possible but it will take time. My sister also lost all of her belongings. There is a very fine line here... Yes, Sevigny and other shooters really show there grip pressure thourgh the muscle definition in the forearms. What I mean by a fine line is... If you start death griping the gun then you are adding extra tension to your entire body, which will cause you to not only shoot much slower but most importantly, react slower! You have to find that happy medium of grip strength and over kill. I like to grip with most of the tension coming from my weakhand, allowing my trigger finger to be "tension free". Hello, Funny you guys are talking about this... TT and I have discussed this before. Recoil is one of those things that we cannot stop. It is going to happen no matter what. I have always said, as long as you know the timing of your gun the muzzle flip really doesn't matter. At the end of the day, who ever hits the targets is the winner, right? Someone mentioned the older guys having less muzzle flip. I agree TJ has a very flat shooting gun, but JoJo has some of the biggest muzzle flip out of the top shooters. Maybe the 2003 DVD shows differently but again, it really doesn't matter. For instance, check out JJ Racaza and Chris Tilley, they have huge muzzle flip and those guys are still amazing. Hey Jake, I know your pulling for me. I was just messing with you. Like I said, the Burner is on of the best the sport will ever see. Any word on him actually making it back to shoot? I talked to him about a year ago and he wanted to but I never heard anything back. He is the type of competitor that won't come back unless he has the time to put into it. Jake- Man, I thought we were friends. Just joking, Jerry was a great shooter and I wish newer guys in the sport, like yourself, knew and respected what the burner was all about! If he comes back to the Open game, I'd be waiting for him! I love the competition and competitors always want to compete against the best! Anyway, here is my honest predictions... Limited- It will be a battle between Robbie and Travis. Both are great shooters and truly understand the game. You can't forgot about the other top Limited guys but I think experience and control always takes over in National/World level matches. Open- This one I will leave up to you guys. I think the Open title will be a good fight as well. Eric is always a favorite to win. I can't speak for the other guys, but I can assure you that I will be ready! Production- There is only one word for this Division, DAVE! I'm trying to talk TT into shooting some production next year and give him a run for his money. Lim-10- Well, we all know this will be basically the same match as the Limited. I think Todd will shoot Open but other than that it will be exactly the same match. My vote goes for TT and Rob again. -M2
