  1. Ok you win. Revolver division is dead. Find another forum to be negative and leave us dead division loving folks alone.
  2. I think most people who shoot revolver do it for the love of shooting and also for the challenge of shooting a wheel gun. If you want to shoot a wheel gun, shoot it. Who cares how many people signed up for this match or that match. And if you want to really challenge yourself, challenge yourself to beat friends of yours with a wheelgun who are pretty good SS or Production shooters.
  3. My son switched from a 627 to a 929 and never looked back. The gun has been flawless with zero issues. TK Custom did the work on the gun and its setting off Winchester and Federal primers reliably. I'm using federal brass only, 3.2 grains of 320 with 160 gr .356 coated round nose. Also, we use TK .40 stainless moonclips for smooth reloads.
  4. I say we agree to disagree Mr. Carmoney. This division isn't "over" in my opinion. At least I will do my part to see it continue on. And btw, maybe Jerry quit shooting it because he had pretty much done it all in the revo division. Prime example, Max Michel. He's now dabbling in 3 Gun. What else does he have to prove in the Open Division. On to new challenges for him.
  5. Mr. Carmoney what can we do to draw more interest to the revolver division? I know for a fact that since my son starting shooting it at least 5 people have actually bought revolvers with plans to shoot it. Have they started? Some started and stopped. Some haven't even started. I'm not sure if anything can be done but it sure is a shame that the revolver division has such limited interest and like you say is on life support.
  6. The fun part is trying to beat folks who shoot other divisions with a wheel gun.?
  7. Mr. Pinto,

Just wondering are junior shooters same price as adults for Area 4?

  8. Wow that is a great idea Mr. Mosher. I love the jr only match at the end of the year. My son JW and I are planning to attend the revolver match in April. Thank you for making it free for juniors! It is much appreciated.
  9. Forrest hadn't heard from you in a while bud! Good to see your back!
  10. Never really timed my boy's reloads but the last one looked pretty fast.
  11. Are you gonna allow the revolver division ? You don't have it listed
  12. That's my son JW. I appreciate the kind words guys. Here is a link to his Facebook page if you guys wanna see some videos of him shooting his 627. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1558460381056199&ref=bookmarks
  13. Thanks guys for the kind words!! JW works really hard on his reloads and does in fact shoot matches. He has received some great instruction and advice from awesome shooters here in Texas. Here is a video of one stage at his latest match a few weeks ago. Feel free to critique... He needs all the help he can get. ? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=16SWn_xZFRQ
  14. Wow those are some fast reloads. My ten year old son watched them and is inspired. Here he is recently working on his reloads with his 4" 627. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=efh6Ura9QyI
  15. Hey guys I'm trying to sign up my jr shooter son for this match. Its asking for a PIN number??? Excuse my ignorance but where do I get a PIN number so I can sign him up??
  16. My son is ten years old. He started shooting USPSA last fall with a Glock 17. I have always stressed safety as priority number one. A .22 is a great way to start em. BTW, my son is small for being ten years old. Your son may actually do better with the N frame than you think. Here is link to my son's facebook page with videos of him shooting USPSA local matches. Let your son watch some of the videos so he can see that he too can shoot center fire. https://www.facebook.com/pages/JW-Aguirre-competitive-shooter/1558460381056199?ref=settings
  17. Not "making" him shoot revolver. He chose it on his own.
  18. Hello all..my jr shooter son just got his new 627 in today and is excited about learning how to shoot with a revo. He's been shooting production with a Glock 17 but wants to also learn the revolver. I hope to gain lots of knowledge from this forum.
