Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I've never had enough overtravel in a Glock to advise putting a set screw in the back of the trigger block. However if you put a set screw in front of the Cruciform you can reduce the amount of travel the trigger goes forward after it resets.
  2. Built a couple of G21 conversion to 40 S&W with a Lonewolf slide and barrel. Slide would bind on the recoil spring/rod, had to reduce the bottom of the barrel so it would cycle. Shot sweet, 20 plus 1 rounds. Also built one with the 5+ slide, and barrel, recoil was a bit stiffer. Still was nice if you like shooting Glocks in limited major.

    In the Zone

Make it happen, no don't make it happen, it happens
  4. I wanted to be a great 22 rifle shooter to compete in the Chevy Truck Sportsmans Team Challenge. Most of you probably never heard of it. I shot 350,000 rounds in two years
  5. Good stuff tooth guy. I like to get to the targets as soon as possible.
  6. My pod just keeps saying front sight over and over.

    Body and Mind

I'll tell you what the ZEN is, now you understand.
  9. I'm going to tell you the right way to do it. You need a size 2/56 by quarter inch set screw. You need the corresponding drill to drill the hole. Forgot the drill size maybe 1/16. Drill a hole next to the ejector through the trigger block. Use a 2/56 tap to run through the hole with a little oil on it. Now insert the set screw in the drilled hole until it shows on the other side. This is where the Cruciform rides up against it. The more you screw it in the less trigger reset you'll have. When you do this the safety will have to be shortened to. And that's it. Don't bother trying to reduce overtravel it's just a gimmick they try to sell you. Something the old bullseye shooters liked. It does nothing to enhance your shooting.
  10. Slide stop spring, then check your grip. It's an easy fix.
  11. How about a nice 2lb trigger, magwell, tape or stipple. and some 165 grain Zero's loaded hot.
  12. Dawson Ice magwell works well, and you have the option of replacing the insert. However the Zev is a little easier to hit under pressure but it gets dinged up. The JP mag release works good but it can cut into your support hand palm if you don't round it off a bit. What ever you use it has to be the right length so you don't do an unexpected mag dump, and you don't lose your mag on a gun pick up stage. The Fulcrum trigger is nice but a bit pricey for what you're getting. The newer stock barrels are better now than they use to be, but if you're spending all this money you might as well squeeze a bit more accuracy out, and get the KKM or Storm Lake. Get the longest Tungsten guide rod available the extra weight helps a bit with recoil. If you're shooting major you might want to rethink this, and get the G24, you may like it more once you get use to the extra length., Good luck.
  13. Storm Lake Barrel, KKM Barrel, Lonewolf. If you ever shot a leaded up Glock barrel you'll know why you should use a conventional riflling.
  14. The SF frame is shorter from front to rear, it has a different configured trigger block, and the grip angle is more like the 92 than a standard G20.
  15. Federal primers, stock striker,4lb Wolf striker spring.
