  1. I believe they are already on the approved list for USPSA production.
  2. That's interesting. The description of the pistol on Tanfo's website makes it sound like their custom shop gunsmiths do a trigger job on it it besides using the xtreme parts. For how much it costs you would hope their custom shop would do some work on the trigger besides just installing EG xtreme parts.
  3. http://www.anacortesgunshop.com/eaa-tanfo-witness-stock-2-xtreme-9mm-45-da This website has 5 available...
  4. Are all of the stock II xtreme's small frame? Thanks for the info. I'd like to pickup a Stock II so I've been looking at the xtreme and the standard model.
  5. Did you make any changes to it or was it squared away out of the box?
  6. Those are some sweet pistols. How do you like your Stock II Xtreme?
  7. Hey, that's not a bad idea. I'm going to give that a try when I get some time to fit my new Dawson sight. A drop of solder in the hole and a little red loctite on the bottom of the sight should do the trick.
  8. Do you know of a small, needle file of the correct width that would work to file down the depth of the u-notch of a rear sight? I have a set of 10 needle files made by Tekton and a harbor freight set of diamond needle files. Neither set has a file narrow enough to fit into the u-notch. I've never filed down a u-notch so any advice you could offer would be appreciated.
  9. I ordered and received my new Dawson FO front sight before I came across this topic. Opened the new FO sight and the set screw is much too small just as experienced by others here. Looks like I'm going to be giving the #7 1/2 lead shot BB method a try. Pretty ingenious - thanks for sharing!. I just wish Dawson would drill/tap their FO front sight correctly and supply the appropriate diameter set screw. I looked at Henning's FO front sight very closely and his set screw appears to be the correct diameter. It is larger that Dawson's screw and the hole drilled/tapped into the bottom of the sight appears to be correct as well. I wish Henning would offer his FO front sight in a few lower height variations. I would definitely pick one or two up from him. He is great guy to deal with.
  10. What adjustment(s) did you make to resolve your reset issue?
  11. Just picked up the Henning short reach flat trigger system. Installed over the holiday break and finally got a chance to shoot it today. Man, what a difference. My trigger breaks around 1.75-2lbs. Definitely worth the price. I just want to say Henning provides great customer service as well. I called to ask a couple questions and ended up spending a half hour on the phone with him getting expert advice and tips. Only thing I need to tweak is the reset. It's a minor thing. Talked to Henning and he suggested an 18# trigger return spring. I'm going to give that a try.
  12. Henning recommends a 0.180" like the one he sells here: http://henningshop.com/products/tanfoglio-fiber-optic-front-sight-h101f-tl What kind of hold does 0.180 provide? I prefer something a little closer to a 6 o'clock hold rather than point of aim/point of impact so I'm wondering if I ought to pickup a Dawson sight that's a little bit shorter.
  13. What front sight height works well with the Henning fixed rear?
  14. How does the u-notch in the CZ sight compare to the Henning one as far as depth and width? It's hard to tell from the pics but the u-notch in the CZ TS sight appears to be more shallow. I own a CZ 75 Shadow Custom with a fixed rear sight (amazing pistol). It's a great rear sight but my major gripe is that the u-notch is too shallow. I wish it was cut deeper. I own a couple of glocks and I installed the Taran Tactical sights on them. If you are familiar with that rear sight it will give some context to my preference for deeper u-notches. It really does make a noticeable difference in cutting down the time it takes to acquire your front sight. Also, the Henning and J&L rear sight is angled to the rear and the CZ sight is vertical. Does that make any noticeable difference?
  15. If you have a few to spare, I wouldn't mind buying a few extras from you as spare parts for my gun.
  16. I just tried to purchase the fixed rear sight from J&L, but their website would show an error during checkout. They must be out of stock or something. I'll give them a call and see if that rear sight is still available.
  17. Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I thought I was going to be out of luck when I couldn't find the Henning rear on his website. What height/width front sight are you running with that rear?
  18. I was hoping to find a fixed rear sight with a deeper u-notch.
  19. I'm looking for some advice on replacing the stock rear sight on my elite limited. What rear sight options are available for this pistol? My research hasn't turned up much so I was hoping some of the Tanfo shooters here could point me in the right direction so I know what aftermarket rear sights are compatible with this pistol and available for purchase. Your help will be much appreciated.
  20. Here's my crack at making a thumb groove. I also added grip tape. The grip tape makes it a little hard to make out the groove.
  21. I'll chip in on an order as well if they will work.
  22. Season 2 is even better. Sometimes Netflix seriously screws up my sleep schedule. Can't wait for season 3.
  23. Thanks to TJART and jmorris for the pics and cost-friendly tumbler ideas. I've been saving up my pennies to get reloading equipment and saving money on a tumbler setup will really help my budget. Now I just need to decide on whether to move forward more quickly with purchasing equipment or continue with my original timeline and buy a more expensive Dillon reloading machine.
