  1. Here is the DA trigger pull working fine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht0F77S-SDQ
  2. New Stock 2 in the hands of a newbie. Did first round of polishing of contact areas, and installed Extreme FP and hammer springs (light), Titan hammer, Extreme firing pin and Wolff recoil spring. Went to range 200 rounds 100% ignition with WSP without any problems. I was really happy with the reliability but not so with the 8 lbs DA and 4 lbs SA pull. So last night I took the sear apart in an attempt to polish more. It was a 2-piece sear, and I had a lot of trouble to put it back together, because atlas 101 guide shows a different 2-piece sear than the Tanfo's. With the help of some friend's picture of their sear in Stock 2, I put it back together. However, since then I found that the DA hammer would work fine but hammer won't fall for SA. I can see the top of the sear moving when I press SA but hammer not moving. I suspect I did something wrong to the sear when I put it back together. Here are some pics of how my sear block look like. Do they look right to you? If the sear looks good, maybe I polished too much on the trigger bar or bottom of sear? Should I guy the Extreme sear housing and Extreme 1 piece sear? Maybe they will fix the problem? Thanks for helping.
  3. Yeah, I read that EGD is the thinnest. I was hoping there is some thin smooth metal grips as thin as EGD but with smooth surface for grip tape.
  4. Yeah, just ordered the Henning smooth one today. Cannot wait. How thin is the Henning smooth grip? I sanded down the wood grip to the point that the thinnest part is going to break if I push hard on it... After putting on the grip tape, I feel it is still a tiny bit too fat. I hope Henning is as thin as it can go. Here is what I did with the wood grip panels:
  5. Funny you say that; I don't ream my personal guns cause it makes no difference. When I do other people's guns I'll ream them cause I don't want people saying I did a garbage job, etc. Literally makes no difference, but I don't want to have to deal with people that just shoot and know nothing about function, lol. If you use the pin supplied by CGW with the T3 disco, the disco would wiggle around because the pin is wiggly loosely in the pin hole. I don't know if that's going to cause any functional issues. My guess is it might because the disco's reach can change as the pin wiggles inside the pin hole.
  6. Derek Perrault What's the word? When can we see it in US dealers' hands?I need this gun! Like · Reply · March 6 at 12:43pm CZ-USA Derek- Frankly, we have no idea. When production starts up we're set to get the first run of them to do testing with, but we don't want to speculate as to when we'd actually start shipping them. Thanks! 7. Right now I am using the T3 disco that comes with the stock hammer. I think next step is to fit the CGW T3 disco. Thanks for the suggestions. I just ordered a bunch of wolff + henning parts, and hope they make some differences.
  8. I am so used to grip tapes and I feel they are much more aggressive than the EGD grips. Not sure about Henning or SSI scales. I am currently sanding down the stock wood panels and put on the grip tapes, but due to my small hands I feel the wood panels are a still too fat even I have sanded it down as much as possible, to a point some of the thinnest part is becoming too thin. That leads me to think some kind of smooth metal thin grip panels would be perfect, like those CZ Custom thin aluminum ones. Does anyone make those kind grip panels? Would the CZ Custom thin aluminum ones fit on Stock 2 (I guess not due to small vs. large frame)? Thanks.
  9. - use a dremel with a diamond bit, and you can have the safety leg of the sear fit in 30 seconds. - probably, but I have no definitive answer on that. - ream the hole of the disco. listen to me when I tell you this; the t3 is leaps and bounds better than the extreme disco. get the wolff hammer spring. (did you put the t3 in)? That will help, as well. the t3 is a cgw part, not an extreme part. theres a big difference. btw, 3# SA isn't bad; I've had to drop to a 8.5# hammer in a shadow to get into the 2# realm. You'll be able to tune bette (more) with henning and wolff, than you can with extreme parts. OK. So I should use the Wolff hammer spring instead of Extreme light hammer spring? When I bought the Wolff recoil spring, it came with a firing pin spring too I believe. Because I bought the Extreme hammer and firing pin spring, I did not put the Wolff in. I only used the Wolff recoil spring. I have not put the CGW T3 in. It is the stock T3 in there right now. Maybe that explains the 8 lbs DA and 4 lbs SA. Would it reduce DA by 2 lbs and SA by 1 lb? Thanks.
  10. TJART, thanks. I am OK with running exclusively Federal.
  11. I am totally new to CZ/Tanfos. So please bear with me... 1. I installed the EG Titan hammer. Sear block is stock. Now the safety won't engage unless the hammer is half-cocked. I searched the forum and noticed a solution to file some leg of the sear. My question is, if I install the Extreme sear block (the whole thing), will this problem go away? 2. Bought the EGD thin grip from Eric's shop. I found that, however, the screws for the stock wood panels do not work for these EGD thin grips. The EGD grips have a small hole, while the stock screws have a bigger top that won't screw all the way in. I know Eric's shop also sells the specific screws used for these EGD grips. Before I order those, does anyone know if Home Depot/Lowes sell any screws that would work? 3. The T3 disconnector from CGW - I found that it has a much smaller pin hole than the stock disco. It's also interesting that the CGW T3 comes with a shiny pin that would slide in/out easily in the pin hole on the T3 disco. If I drill to make the pin hole bigger on the CGW T3 disco, I would still need to use the stock pin, correct? That means, the stock pin won't slide easily in and out of the T3 disco... Does that matter? Is the pin supposed to slide in and out easily on the T3 disco pin hole? I checked the stock one and it does not. Also, does the Extreme T3 disco better, in the sense it does not require additional drilling to make the pin hole larger? 4. I am getting 8 lbs DA and 4 lbs SA after I replaced with following parts, plus polishing areas mentioned in atlas's CZ tuning 101 guide. Is this normal? My goal is 5.5 - 6 lbs DA and 3 lbs SA. I think that should be doable. Hammer Spring(Xtreme) - Lighter Firing Pin Spring(Xtreme) - Lighter 9lb Recoil Spring(wolf) Reduced Power Trigger Return Spring (CGW) Xtreme Firing Pin Safety Spring Xtreme Firing Pin Safety Titan Hammer Henning Guide Rod Henning extended firing pin (gen 3) I wonder if I get additional Extreme parts, will that improve the trigger? For example: - Extreme trigger bar guide - Extreme sear block (whole unit) - Extreme T3 disco I also have heard people using BIC pen springs for the trigger bar guide spring? Would that help reducing DA? Again, I am totally new to CZ/Tanfos and would greatly appreciate your help.
  12. Is this thing SSP legal? The rules say you can only swap in parts from another SSP legal handgun.
  13. Thanks. I found Ben's shop is selling them. Will stock up a few just in case http://benstoegerproshop.com/eaa-tanfoglio-witness-magazine-catch-plunger-6-7/
  14. I launched the little thing to oblivion during my first dissembling of the Stock 2. Does anyone know how it looks like? It's a small room and I am hoping to find it. Or, where can I buy that little plunger? Or do I have to buy the whole mag release? Thanks.
  15. Currently using a Stock 2 for Production, and trying to set up a backup gun that I can also use for IDPA SSP. Before I buy the Limited Pro, I want to hear others' experiences: 1. Limited Pro official weight data is 41 oz, and IDPA weight limit is 43 oz. Does anyone have data on how much the Limited Pro actually weigh with an empty magazine? Has anyone run into overweight problems when mag basepad is added, grip panels replaced (e.g. Extreme or Henning grip panels)? 2. Since Limited Pro was offered with single-sided safety at some point, it's legal to leave only one side of the safety on just in case the width won't fit into the IDPA box, correct? 3. I have seen someone replaced the slide lock release with a more reachable version. Like this one below. Does anyone know where to get that? Is that SSP legal?
  16. PV web site may not be real-time inventory. I ordered 4lbs 4 days ago when it first went into in stock, and have not got any response yet. It looks like it went into backorder.
  17. I don't have Extreme trigger, but from what I heard, it has longer DA length of pull than the stock trigger. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=229624
  18. The elephant in the room is when US will have this gun.
  19. Here in the heart of Texas, I drive 90 min one-way to USPSA matches. 45-min is a steal.
  20. Certainly expecting Stock 2 unicorn status in US in 2016 - $2,000 until everyone has one
  21. Get a Limited Pro for IDPA, but you do need to buy a separate holster for Limited Pro.
  22. This is the right solution. Increase flare. I use Mr. bullet feeder expander die in place of dillon one. Every 10,000 sounds or so, I have to adjust the flare to avoid shaving, because it seems the expander would expand less and less over time. I just started noticing shaving again, and I am going to adjust the flare again.
  23. Only if we can buy this in the US, and legal for USPSA Production.
  24. I usually give the cleaned brass 3 hours of Texas sun, then lay them out on the floor of my room for 2 days. I have never had wet brass problem. I do have SS pin problem on my press which I think is more scary then web brass I do wish someone come up with an automated decapping machine. It does not need to be Mark 7 technology, just a plain simple mechanical arm that deprimes from a feeding tube, etc.
