  1. Episode 2.Update on my training. Last match of the year was this weekend. Probably will start up again mid to end of December, or mid January. Focusing on working our and college right now. I am dry firing around once a day to every other day for an hour, focusing mostly on consistency. I have developed a system that works for me to build consistency and speed, and so far it is the best I have used. Building grip strength pretty quickly. Using grip trainers, and building the max amount I can hold. Essentially I am trying to build my max, but also hold that weight for 20-30 seconds (length of a stage). Last classifier came in at 90.53 percent. Maybe if I gave a crap about classification I would be more careful with it, but honestly I am not focused on GM in the slightest. My next big match is Area 2, followed by Berry's Steel Open, Area 1, Idaho State, Oregon State, Utah State. Should be a fun year for majors. Right now in local matches I have been building consistency. The goal is to win every stage, and shoot every stage at my maximum potential. So far I have been edging closer and closer to this, and am able to shoot with the M's and GM's in open and limited at our local clubs. Thanks, Wyatt
  2. In this Podcast we discuss the options of Springer Pads vs. Stoeger vs. Eric Grauffel. Wyatt
  3. Nick, One thing that has helped me in regards to first stage jitters is focus on getting hits on the first stage and not screwing it up. Often or not this will end up being one of my better stages because I am not so focused on going fast. May help may not. Wyatt
  4. My friends Hwansik Kim, and Eric Steiner decided to do a match analysis podcast. This was our first episode, it will improve for sure, and hopefully it will morph into a match analysis for anyone. Thanks, Wyatt
  5. Yes they fit in the box just fine. I have shot a Level 2 with them, and a friend shot a Level 3 with them and they pass just fine. And yes they are absolutely the best base pads you can buy. Thanks, Wyatt
  6. I have also tried different bullets. Has happened with Montana Golds along with Xtremes. At this point for match ammo I am going to be buying Starline, testing them out once, and then loading them all the same over the winter to make sure that the bullets work.
  7. I have had this issue for around 20k rounds. I have tried an XP extractor spring, another XP extractor spring, a new extractor, and nothing has worked. I am of the belief that it is purely a brass issue. I have run 500 brass through the gun, seen which ones had issues, and the ones that didn't I kept and reloaded for a major match. Didn't have issues with any of them. WJM
  8. Yes I have tried a new extractor and a new XP extractor spring. If something is missing on the extractor hook it was missing on both extractors. Wyatt
  9. I am back once again! This time with two questions. My one Tanfoglio Stock 2 is having some slight issues. It is seeming to seize up, yet when the magazine is bumped from the bottom it seems to auto it forward. It doesn't "lock" but it does seem to not have enough power to take the slide forward again. My other Tanfoglio Stock 2 9mm is having issues with ejection. Around 1 in every 400 or so is having a failure to eject. The extractor seems to be slipping off the case, and the resulting case is staying inside the barrel. The slide goes forward, hitting the next round in the magazine causing a death jam of sorts. I have used a U die, I case guage all my ammo, and this has lead me to believe this is a brass issue. (I have tried it where I will shoot all the same brass through the gun to make sure it doesn't have issues, and then load that brass again and it seems to have worked for the last 1k or so). Anyone else have this issue or concur with my thought process? Thanks, Wyatt

It was awesome seeing you shoot a stage or two and awesome to meet you. Wyatt McNeill
  11. Anyone know how to go about ordering a pair of Tanfoglio shorts even though they don't ship to the United States? Perhaps my google fu is weak, but these shorts are just too awesome to pass up. http://www.tanfoglio.it/shop/prodotti-in-promozione/d-shoot-extra-sconti/tg-44-col-blu.html Anyone have a line on this stuff or can offer advice? Thanks, Wyatt
  12. I measured mine twice and both of my Stock 2's fit in the box and make weight. WJM
  13. I was able to get my hands on some Tanfoglio Large Frame basepads for my Stock 2's and after dry firing with them for a few hours, and shooting with them in a match, all I can say is wow. I have used a few different kinds of basepads, and these are without a doubt the best ones I have tried. They are heavier than the Henning basepads, and they are also easier to come off and clean my mags (both the EG and Henning have a allen wrench that is a PITA and strips too easily). My favorite feature is that they can't be overinserted like the EG or Henning. I had issues while doing slide lock reloads where it would become overinserted with the EG and Henning, and it would cause a death jam of sorts. Plus, the most important thing about them, they are almost half the price of the other ones. Even the BSPS base pads which are very similar are $25, and the Springer's are $15. Thanks, WJM
  14. The short leg on the spring has to go between the trigger and the trigger bar, the long leg on the spring goes in that little cut on the frame. Build a slave pin with the trigger out, have the short leg go on the trigger bar, while applying force downward push the slave pin in. Pop in the trigger into the gun. Viola. Wyatt
  15. Bumped to M so thats fun! Wyatt
  16. Ben shoots a Tanfoglio, Eric shoots a Tanfoglio, JJ Racaza shoots a Tanfoglio, Kale Garretson shoots a Tanfoglio. Coincidence? Wyatt
  17. So just to make sure before I order them, they fit the Tanfo Stock 2 magazines, fit in the box, and they reload without malfunctions? Wyatt
  18. Maybe I'll give that a try for fun. I don't reload. I buy my ammo from Atlanta arms and they have a 180g minor load. I bet that's crazy soft out of a stock 2. Softer than any 9mm minor load I have used in my S2 9mm. Wyatt
  19. Many people lately have been arguing over the apparent price of Stock 2's. So I figured, hey I can make a post to show how much money down to the penny (minus tax I will be nice) that I have invested into my Stock 2. (I will consider just my 9mm because the .40 was slightly cheaper. Lets start at the top with the gun. I was able to get a pretty decent deal on my Stock 2 at $923.35. While I understand that many of you fell into the prey that is people buying them at this price and selling them stock for 1800, I will assume for this post that this is the price. Next lets look at the magazines. If you buy them from EAA directly (that's what I would do) single price of one item is $40. If however you buy them in a set they are $25 a piece. Which to me is a pretty fair price. I bought 6 of these, because I think thats a fair number for a long course production stage, and to have 1 backup. Having shot with basepads and no basepads I honestly don't think it made a bit of difference to me so thats my opinion. http://eaacorp.com/gun_accessories/index.php/one-ea9m2005-18rd-101935.html I am assuming most people don't have a belt or holster set up for production. If you do, disregard this portion. If not follow this. I bought the Ben Stoeger BOSS holster and Ghost Mag pouch setup. This was $269.95. http://www.benstoegerproshop.com/BSPS-BOSS-DOH-Holster-Ghost-Pouches-DAA-Belt-p/boss-kit.htm Now we can get down to actual gun upgrades. I bought almost all of my things from Last Round Armament. I feel like they are the best company to do business with, have fair prices, and they ship quickly. · Backup Extractor 9mm (not necessary but nice to have a backup on hand) $25 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/eaa-11-1-extractor-9mm/ · Interuptor for 1 Piece Sear $8 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/eaa-4-8-interruptor/ · 1 Piece Sear $37 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/eaa-9-1-1-piece-sear/ · Extended Firing Pin Block (to make the gun Production legal) $14.95 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/egd-extreme-safety-firing-pin-block-extended/ · Eric Grauffel Firing Pin Spring Light x2 (I got 2 so I had a backup) $7.99x2 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/egd-xtreme-firing-pin-spring-light/ · Eric Grauffel Hammer Spring Light x2 (again ordered 2 so I had a backup) $10.95x2 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/egd-xtreme-hammer-spring-light/ · Eric Grauffel Red Grips (Must be red thats the only color for these guns) $118.95 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/egd-xtreme-grips/ · Eric Grauffel Extreme Titan Hammer $114.99 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/egd-xtreme-titan-hammer/ · 9 pound Recoil Spring x2 $9.95x2 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/wolff-recoil-spring-eaatanfoglio-stock-ii/ · Trigger Spring x2 (because you will lose one) $4.00x2 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/eaatanfoglio-witness-trigger-spring/ · Sear Spring x2 (same as above) $4.00x2 http://www.lastroundarmament.com/product/eaa-9-3-sear-spring/ · Extra Power Extractor Spring $7.95 http://henningshop.com/products/tanfoglio-extractor-spring-by-wolff-gunsprings-w32010 · Henning XL Gen 3 firing Pin (To me its very important that this is a Gen 3. I haven't had good luck with the Gen 4) $24.95 http://www.benstoegerproshop.com/Henning-Firing-Pin-for-EAA-Tanfogolio-Witness-p/henning-lf-fp.htm Grand total to shoot a Stock 2 in Production $1768.87. Wyatt
  20. I can see one reason, the front sight is about a mile wide. Wyatt
  21. The sarcasm in this post is legen.. wait for it.. dary! Wyatt
  22. You post the funniest stuff. And I definitely am seeing massive gains from your shooting skills perspective. 58 days left. WJM
  23. I would go Henning if his front sight wasn't so damn wide. If I could get a .90 front sight with that kit it would be Henning every time. WJM
