Yes same problem I've been having. Lot of times in my case helping the slide is no use, its too stuck to work even with extra force. Ive tried a wide range of oal all had issues. Adjusting the feed lips has made the biggest difference but still not perfect, not sure how people's mags are functioning with lips wider than .350 i had one mecgar mag that started double feeding from the lips being too wide at around .355.

Loading for a new gun now that needs a shorter oal so I'll be retesting some probably today at around 1.125. 115 xtremes and 125 blue bullet

I've used 4.0 to 4.3 so far with 115 plated xtremes and csb1. Was running a long oal 1.16 and getting about 1050fps with the 4.3. Still need to work on some more.

The load data I was given says for 115gr Starting 4.0 Max 4.5

Yeah I got both and looking at the data given they actually seem much closer to one another than I originally thought they would be, kind of has me confused.

Ok makes sense. True their data leaves a lot to be desired not very detailed. Have you used csb-1 also?

Interesting, going by the data given at American reloading that should be around 158pf.

I was thinking the same thing wanted to stay on a low budget. Now that I have all 3 new guns and the necessary equipment I've spent right about 3k.

I adjusted my feed lips on the factory mag and my mec gars to .350 and the gun feeds better so far. Slide locks back now with 1 round left tho. Anyone else had that problem?

Same here the frame has a small ramp and then the barrel throat is near vertical and offset behind the ramp so it just wedges right between the two.

My mags don't have much room to move upward when they are locked it's a pretty tight fit.

I'm having horrible nosedive issues with the factory and mecgar mags still. Getting frustrated.

Do the plunk test. Make on at 1.165 The cartridge should fall all the way in, without any pushing, and spin freely in the chamber, and drop freely from the chamber if you turn the barrel upside down. If it does youre okay.

This is what I'm wondering too. The trigger guard is significantly wider and rounded off. Blade tech speed rig for sti tactical 2011 is a perfect fit.

Well I got my mec gar p18 mags today. On my factory magwell gum they took a few minutes with a Drexel and now seat and release perfectly. Bad news is I'm constantly getting rounds nose diving in to the bottom of the barrel face. Sonetimes they are very stuck, others racking the slide sends them in. I'm wondering if the 12 lb recoil spring is a little in the light side?

Put some more rounds through today only had one ftf out of 50 and it was early on. Poi was about 4 inches high out of the box but I was tearing one small hole with a rest at 10 yards. Adjusted the sights almost all the way down to get on target. Very accurate gun I'm impressed with the groups I was able to shoot from rest and offhand.

Yes it's a lot of gun for the money.

Received my 51947 today. Immediately switched to the 9mm barrel. Had a few nose dive ftf with 115gr round nose, 4 in the first 25 rounds. Ran out of daylight will shoot more tomorrow and see if it improves with break in. fit and finish are pretty good and it's nice and tight. Loving the look and feel of the gun. Only complaint is the hole for the magwell screw had some sharp metal that wasn't cleaned up well.
