  2. I am the 2005 AASA Nationals Challenge Lady's Champion and the AASA Shoot-Offs Nationals Lady Champion. That was a fun match. I especially liked handing my husband his butt all weekend. My daughter gave several people a run for their money, too. She is ready to go back next year and so are we. Hope to see some of you that didn't make it to this match next year. Congratulations Shred. I hope to shoot as fast as you some day. Tracy Self
  3. Hey Ted, Again I want to say thank you for a great weekend of shooting. My daughter said that your match was "AWESOME" and is ready to shoot it again next year. For those of you who missed it, you need to come next year. It's more than worth it. I shot about 900 rounds this weekend - not including the 250 rounds with my .22. The prizes were excellent also. I probably ended up with about $350 worth of prizes, my daughter got about $100 worth, and Mark (my hubby - who by the way got his butt handed to him by ummmmm - little ole me ) got about $100 dollars worth of prizes. I won B open and High Lady and Mark won 2nd A. My 10 year old daughter Shea also got 2nd D and gave several people a run for their money. We had an incredible time and definitely will shoot this match again next year. Hope to see some of you next year. It's waaaaaay worth it! Tracy Self
  4. I ordered my slide and frame July 5th of 2003 and have never received it. I know of the problems because we don't live to far from her. About a 2hr drive. I have spoke to her on a number of occasions and have had no luck getting my parts. My wife and I have got to know them very well and it's ashamed it had to come down to me calling my CC last week and getting it charged back. I pray she gets the problems worked out! Mark S. A18138
  5. Lynn I got her an STI 38 super that I am going to load down to a steel load. it has very little recoil just a lot noise. Shea thinks thats cool!!! She said my limited steel gun felt fine! The reason I am the driver and reloader is, here lately going out of town my wife has handed me my butt at the match. I am an A and she is a C but still kicking my butt. So she tells me to drive and let her shoot!! LOL
  6. I have been working with my daughter ( 9years old) for about 6 months and things are really starting to click for her. But I would like to get an idea of where I should start moving with her now that she has very good safety skills and gun handling skills. She has been shooting in our local matches since September and her first out of town match in December. (3rd place in .22 div steel shoot) I have had her shooting my limited 38 super steel gun but she gets a little tired and I have moved her back to the optic .22. I did notice that after shooting the 38 super for a month that she made a hugh leap with the .22! I have been doing 1 shot drill with her and having her target shoot at about 17 yards at a 6 and 8" plate. Also I had her doing bill drills for the first time last night. (She Liked that) 5.80 was her best time from low ready! Is this what I need to be doing or is there something else that would be better for her? She is also getting a new open today but does not no about it!!!!!! That will be the gun she shoots at the Ladysmith match in April. (Minor loads) Please give me some input!!!!! Thanks Mark Self A-18138 AikidoGirls Driver and ammo reloader!!!!!
  7. I am looking for someone that makes Plaque's for shooting sports. Our local guys can do it but pricing is high. I need to make 23 plaques. Thanks Mark Self (aikidoGirls ammo loader and driver to the match)
  8. AikidoGirl Ordered my christmas gift on Thursday of last week got a call from Brian Friday morning asking if I needed anymore stuff for my Dillon 650. I missed his call but called back about 30 min later and told them I need the roller handle and that was it. My 650 came in today and I had no idea it would make it here so quick. Brian got the order out that day and didn't wait one moment. Thanks Brian!!!! That's awsome customer service!!!!! Now to put that 650 next to my other 650. I am lazy and I have to load 2 women 38 super, 9mm, 40s&w and 45acp. LOL Thanks Mark Self
  9. I was wondering if you could send some pics of the holster. I am getting ready to buy one for my daughter. Will that holster work with a G17 with a comp?? Thanks Mark Self
  10. Today was another great day of shooting. Mom and Daughter kicking butt today! Me I sucked, shot my 22 and found I can't start from low ready real well. Oh my daughter picked over 10 seconds per stage from last month. Also need to think Cheryl Leck for her support! (Girls with Guns)!!
  11. Liota are you and Alex going to be at Coleman? Thats our next match out of town and I am thinking of shooting my 625 revo. It would be an Ironman match with that gun. Hope to see you all out there! This year I hope Tracy dosen't get heat stroke!
  12. Went to the range today to setup for tomorrows steel match and my daughter decided she wanted to try her Glock, now that it has a Carver C-more mount on it. I shot the first 4 rounds through the thing and then let her lose. She shot about 20 rounds (ok all the ammo I had with me) and said it shot awesome and it only recoiled a little more than her 22. Now she is all pumped up about shooting that gun and not the 22. Big change from a couple of weeks ago. But I told her it will be awhile and lot of practices before I turn her lose at our local match. Found you do not take a kid to an indoor range and try out new guns with them, it seem the noise was more of problem then the recoil. Also hanging that carver mount off the noise helped a tremendous amount. By the way I want to say thanks to Matt @ custom glock for having that mount to me in 3 days. You’re the man! You were right killed the recoil of the gun.
  13. To answer about the long fingers! She has long fingers for her age. Helps her with her classical guitar playing. She grips the glock without any problems. Don’t know were that came from! Closes I get to something musical is turning on talk radio.
  14. By the way Shea shot star with 5 shots 5 plates!!!! took alittle time but she didn't follow the star around she waited for the shot! Then her mom kicked butt and won that stage! I am just going to end up being the person that drives the girls to the matches and loads the ammo for them!
  15. Shea is an 8-year fireball that has bugged her mother (AikidoGirl) and I for a long time to shoot. We bought her a Walther P22 and it set in the box for about 4 months and then one day out of the blue she wanted to go shooting. After a lot of gun safety training we took her to our local indoor range, which thank goodness is only 3 miles from our house. First time out she got freaked out because a case came back and set right on her arm. Needless to say her first time out end right there. I was able to get her to change the way she griped the gun and all her problems went away!!! She shot this past month at our steel match and did really well. She did come in last place but could have cared less. She was able to beat an adult on 3 of the 5 stages so she was pretty excited about that. Shea also shot in her first IPSC match this past Tuesday night at our indoor range. I also have a question for all of ya'll. My daughter has her heart set on shooting next year at the Shirley Skinner match but I am reluctant about moving her to a center fire gun. I have a G17 I am planning on turning into an Open gun for her but am not sure. What do you all think about it??? By the way she has gone though about 800 rounds of 22 in the past 2weeks!!!! More trigger time than I ever get!!! LOL Oh she beat me (an A shooter) on the 1-st stage this past week so she is really pumped up!!! I didn't tell her I had gun problems. NOT
