Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. I am using two different loads of HS-6 in two different open guns. The with poppel holes I use 125 gr JHP with 8.5 gr of HS-6. The gun with out holes I use my 8.1 gr of HS-6. I talked to two different open gun Gurus from two different ares before getting in to open, and they both had the same opinion that HS-6 has an easier pressure spike and is less likely to do damage to the guns. One had over 75,000 rounds with no crack to the slide and the other had almost 125,000 with no crack to the slide. They both also said the same thing about auto comp, that it has less felt recoil but has a sharper pressure spike, and most cracked slides they saw were when using it.
  2. I have ran 9 major in open for almost 4 years now with almost no issues, but I was taught to case gauge all my ammo in the beginning. Also I run once fired matching head stamp brass. My opinion most issues, open and all other classes typically are reloading issues. The only dependability issue I have ever had was because of a worn out spring in my Aftec extractor, and lets face it springs wear out. Especially when they recommend you change them every 5,000 rounds and I had almost 10,000 on it.
  3. I prefer SRP but have ran both with almost no difference in power factor or performance. I have heard of breach faces being scorched in the past but did not experience it myself.
  4. On my sig x-5 legions I run the Sig Romeo 3 XL, the big glass is amazing and they have decent durability on a slide mounted red dot. But on my open guns I run C-more slide rides, where the dot is mounted to the frame
  5. 1.165 with Zero JHP in my CK Arms.
