Well said Fo!!! The bad people were already there and have just taken advantage of a very bad situation. What's worse, most of the local police have either quit or commited suicide from what I have been hearing.(Hearsay only) It's really bad when the locals can't handle a bad situation in their own towns, but, considering the circumstances, what would any of us do in their shoes? I say, do your job to the best of your ability and wait for the cavalry! Ok, enough said here, don't want to rant anymore!

Guild, Just got my bench setup and loaded some dummy rounds to 1.20 OAL. If I have been reading in here correctly, when I load up a mag and hand cycle the rounds thru the gun and they all cycle as they should, this OAL should be right for my gun? I am shooting a Para P16 w/factory barrel. Also, your load of 5.1 grains of V V N320 makes major? What power factor, if you know offhand? Thanks for all the help in here guys/gals!!!

Hey Benny, Are the 55 gr ballistic tips the ones with the orange tip? I have some I loaded ages ago and haven't gotten around to shooting yet, but will in the real near future. Would like to know what they are without needing to pull 1. Just curious if they color coded these bullets with the orange or yellow to tell which was which? Thanks

Ok, whats the best surface to use for the bench? I know, and hate the fact I dont have room for it, that reg countertops work great! I have a 7" bench left at parents house . Am just now trying to get another bench for our house here. I have 2 cabinets I plan on using, but need a counter top. My 7 footer was made for me buy a friend of mine back then, may check local cabinet shops to see if maybe they have any short pieces I could buy. Only going to be maybe 5' long, IF I can clean out enough space in this room. Thanks for the help!

Anybody have a load for the 180 hp using VV320? Looks like this is the powder of choice around here, since I can usually pick it up at the range! Not sure if it's high or not, but its between 80-90 per 4 lbs? Thanks

Not going to the Nats. but got my Limited classification today. Looks like I will be shooting Area 5 in "C" class. Sure didn't think I was shooting C scores, but oh well. It's only been 11 years since I shot uspsa matches and was C class in open then. Just glad to be classed again so i can actually compete against the same caliber shooters at the next big match here.

The walmart stuff made major fine out of my para p16 at the ky. sectional. made 171.5 i think. Am looking at reloading now, as it is always cheaper. Also, just checked uspsa site and my new limited classification is in, looks like I made "C" already hehehe even with a limited gun. Never thought that would happen so soon.

Yeah, the EXTRA toys are going to be fun as well. Although I have shot them before. Will be fun just going back to Benning! Shooting there without someone yelling in your ear will be a plus!

Hamp, We, the guys coming down from here, are wondering what type of shotgun ammo is going to be needed/allowed at the match? Birdshot only, BB, buck or slugs? I know the last big 3 gun matches I shot, SOF, were always slugs and 00 Buck only. Just asking so we know exactly what we need to play with beforehand! Looking forward to coming back to Benning, it's been a few years.

hehehe, the way I have felt the last 2 days, not sure I should shoot. Depends on how I feel when I wake up in the morning. Hopefully I will feel like shooting, will only shoot the ICORE match I think, just for the hell of it! C'Ya in the morning.

Mike, Jack had said 2 1/2" or shorter. Unless something has changed!! Me I'll be gaming the side match out with my trusty Airweight J-Frame Bodyguard and a borrowed speed loader. I use either Billy Bullets 180FP or Zero 180JHP, WSP primers. Powder Universal Clays or V V 320. (Did use Titegroup, but too dirty in my gun may work in yours.) My OAL is 1.200 and it works in my Para or S_I. (I get most of these components are at retail cost, cost may vary a little with location, if you have someone that orders large quantities, or a group order you can get lower prices.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of the 2 powders you mentioned, which is cleaner and what is the powder charge per round to make a soft major load? I can get VV 320 locally, not sure about the Clays. Thanks

Yes it is cheaper at $16/100 that is $160/1000. I can reload 40 cal 180g JHP at ~$85/1000, and Moly Coats at ~$70/1000. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok, next question. What components are you using for this load? What brand of Powder/Bullets/Primers and are we talkin retail purchased or dealer cost? I need a load to start loading myself is what I am getting at, and have never loaded for .40. Will need to buy a new quick change head and all for my 550B. Also, what OAL works best in the P16?
