New update, as if anybody cares! hehehe Got my P16 today!!! Front sight install is NASTYYYYYY!!! Dawson fiber optic that looks like it was glued on crooked!!But, what the hell! If it shoots straight is another story.(Hope it does) Got a 28" Benelli barrel today as well, glad the guy also included the new style forearm! I had to add another spacing ring from my old stock to keep the forearm from moving around, but it seems to be cool now! Next step is the barrel goes off to Beven for a hack/choke job in a week or so when I get the cash! Then it will be off to the range for some sighting in of guns, after I blow the 10 years of dust off the AR! Hope to see some of you guys at a match somewhere! Am in Indiana, and hope to get down to lexington for that monthly match! Any feedback on mainspring weight I should be using in my P16? Thanks

Update on my guns for 3 gun..My Para P16 .40 should be here this week. Had the lifter on my M1S90 welded up by Pat Kelley. Still searching for a 21" barrel though.. Guess my Match Hbar with irons is going to be the rifle for now. Need to find a flattop upper reasonable that will fit on my lower next and of course some sort of optics for tactical. Anybody happen to have the stocl pin that holds the trigger group in an M1S90 lying around? Mine was removed soon after getting my gun and speedloaders were installed. Now I can't find the pin that I need to replace it with! Maybe a link to a source for this part? Looking forward to getting all my gear so I can start shooting again. Thanks folks!

Hey late, First off, check your pm's so you understand who this is! Second, I still have that comped barrel I had done in early 90's if you want to try it out. I need you to look at it anyway so you can tell me if it had been backbored or not. I want to have it cut/choked to about 21-22" for tactical/limited , unless i can find a 21" cheap enough.If it's been bored too far down I can't have it cut/choked anyway and may end up selling it off to fund other projects. Where are you shooting tomorrow? Ky.State? Thought it wasn't till 2 weeks from now??? Anyway, let me know if you want to give this barrel a try. Later man

Ok, looks like I am sending off my trigger group to have the lifter *FIXED*, now I need a realiable source to cut down the barrel I currently have. Any suggestions? It's about 27" rt now including the 4" comp on the end. Yes, I have some serious cash tied up in this barrel, but, am willing to remove the comp to be able to compete in limited/tactical. So, I need suggestions as where to send it to have the comp removed and have it re choked? Thanks

Ok guys and gals, Next silly question...Can I use Glock 17 mags in my 19 in ANY 3 gun match I may shoot? If so, I have 6 brand new 1s I just got the other day, if not, it's back to my source and more 19 mags... The 17s will hold a few more rounds, god knows I need all I can get in my guns! Need to know before I use these 17s and then cant sell as new! They do dropfree every single time I drop them, which is why I wanna use um! Also, is there a rule saying I can't replace the mag release button with something I can actually get to? This may or may not be my USPSA gun I do have the old trusty 45 I can shoot in limited 10! Thanks for the replies so far guys! Billski, you say add a brake? I think I have an old Clark grake lying around the house somewhere. Is there a limit as to how long a brake can be? My Ar is a pre-ban, andhas the old birdcage on it already and I know the clark will screw right on.(Have had it on before! )Also looking at aquiring another barrel and chopping it off to 21-22 inches and adding chokes and sights. Have 1 currently, 27" total length and no way am I cutting it. Got way too much invested to chop it up. was cut to 22" and has a 4" comp on the end of it. Think the mag tube for that barrel will let the gun hold 12 rounds. It holds 8 already with the standard tube. Got it before all the BS started..

Anybody out there have a scope on their carry handle equipped AR? If so, what/how is the best way to do this? I have heard, and can agree, that you want the scope as close to the bore as possible. Any thoughts/advice on this issue? Thanks

kellyn, Any suggestion as to how to scope the AR? It has a permanent carry handle and I have been told it's not such a great idea scoping that high from the actual line of sight? What guns do you normally use for 3 gun matches? Iron sights/calibers/scopes? Also, what's the best range to zero at for 3 gun events? Rifle that is... Thanks

Hi folks, Have been out of shooting for 11 years now and the itch is back! I have only shot 3 gun matches at the SOF in the early 90s, before they went to scopes! Shot a browning hi power/ Match H-bar and my M1 S90 with speed loaders. Is 9mm enough for 3 gun matches, or maybe move up to a .40? only barrels I have for the s90 are the 18 1/2 CB it came with and another I had cut off and a 3 port comp put on, think it measures 27 inches to end of comp. Of course the H bar is stock as well. I own a glock 19 and a colt series 70 .45 too, but not sure what the rest of you guys shot who havebeen doing this alot more than I have?? Just trying to get my ducks inna row, so to speak before I run out and embarrass myself getting going yet again! Holsters? I have read Blade-tech, safariland 560/6004. Any input on this issue needed as well! Thanks in advance!

I had a long barrel cut/comped and a tube extension put on years ago. Think my m1s90 can hold 12 rounds with the long comped barrel on it. Been so long since I have shot anything other than for hunting I cant remember.

Old SOF huh kellyn? I shotthat a few times in the early 90's. I am just now getting back into shooting after 11 years of NOT! I have a match Hbar and my M1 super 90 also have a colt 1911 45, browning high power and a glock 19. Any suggestions as to what pistol is best for 3 gunning? Maybe a high cap .40? Looked at the new springfield sd tactical today, looks nice and has metal mags unlike the glocks, which drop free dont seem to mean drop free... Just want to get back shooting again and if all I may need is another high cap pistol in a major pf, then so be it. I just want to be able to compete again! Cant put optics on the Ar, as it has a carry handle and scoping it would put the line of sight way high! Benelli also has reg sights and justthe 18 1/2" CB barrel on it. Any help in the what guns/optics to use in my situation would be appreciated! Thanks in advance folks!
