    Nemo

You guys are SICK!! My kind of crowd Have you all noticed Dan's been bringing up rituals a lot lately Good going Nemo
  2. HOP!!! That's a great idea....... .......wonder why I didn't think of that Thanks man
  3. Hey Hop, Just been lurking here in the shadows , not much to say while I've been trying to get my game together. Wheelgunning (IPSC) here is........lonely With a few exceptions, it's just been Walt & I. I really don't think of it as "whippin up on ole Walt" but rather teaching by example Actually, Dan should keep shooting them "poofy limp wrist loads" ...... I'll need all the advantage I can get for the rematch in Aug. So when's that 625 coming out of the safe ?? Later.......
  4. Ya what Hop said After a year of shooting my 686 or 620 or 66 for steel (less than minor) and then a week or 2 later use my 610 & 625 for IPSC (major), I just wasn't getting proficient with any of the above . So now I've gone to just my 625 with the same 185gr HBRN major loads for steel & IPSC. Consistantcy and overall performance have improved by a lot and getting better with each match. For what it's worth...........
  5. Your 40 ???? ....... The way D.carden described you I thought you were A LOT OLDER .....anyway, Happy Birthday
  6. WARNING: MAJOR THREAD DRIFT Hey Dan, You know I'm just trying to make sure we have a rematch this year...... .......I'll worry about you kicking my butt later After all you do realize I was just kidding........right....... ....Dan ???.......
  7. D.carden - Left Coast King of the Wheel ......not for long
  8. Here's the fastest, most reliable way while leaving the hole filled: Remove the sideplate, hammer & mainspring. Next with a needle nose pliers grab on to the flat metal part of the lock that has "LOCKED" stamped on it, wiggle & pull it should easily come off. Now resemble revolver.... it will never lock, nor will the part that fills the hole come loose, it's very secure. I started doing this 3yrs ago and have never had a problem. ---Jerry
  9. Try a Berry's 185gr HBRN with 4.5gr - 4.7gr Clays. Just started working with this bullet myself and the accuracy is incredible and IMO has a more desirable recoil than the 230gr FMJ/4.0gr Clays load. D Carden tested this bullet with 4.6gr this last weekend, but I forgot what he got on the chrono.....Dan ????
  10. Now your "somebody" ....... Watch out everyone, here comes Walt
  11. Mike, I've found that Berry's is more accurate than Rainier (though still not as accurate as jacketed bullets). If you order directly from Berry's, shipping is free and their service is great http://www.berrysmfg.com/categories/17-0.php I'm also trying out the 185gr HBRN, have major & minor loads made up, just need to get out ot the range. Jerry
  12. Thanks Chuck for offering to work something out with the conflicting dates between IRC & Area 1......hopefully something can be done. I'll be at the Tri Co match tomorrow, maybe I can talk to you and see what you have in mind. It good to hear your shooting the classifier match with a wheelgun. I'm sure Walt will give you competition, he's really starting to get good that revolver. ....Hey Dan maybe we can have that rematch after all.....I promise not to let you beat as bad this time.....I've been practicing Thanks for the suggestions Hop ......
  13. Just thought I'd check and see about squading up with other wheelgunners. It's June 16-18 at the Tri-Co Range in Sherwood, Or http://www.uspsa1.org/2006Area1ApplicationForm.doc Hope to see you there
  14. Better throw in the old stand-by lame excuse for washed-up wheelgunners.........tendonitis. SLAM !! ....Mike, your brutal
  15. Welcome to Revolver Divison..... BTW, where you from?
  16. Recurve??? Is that from the performance center?? >>>--------->
  17. Sorry Hop, but I'll be in the Blue Mtns. of NE Oregon stalking elk with my recurve
  18. Ya like when you "load-and-make ready/reholster".....then LOCK your gun in the holster (CR Speed holster in my case) ......like I just did last month on the El Presidente Classifier It's one of the "sandbagging" tricks a Class A wheelgunner told me about
  19. The ONE thing for me was a "Sandbagging" Class A wheelgunner who taught me how it's done in Revolver Division......Thanks Dan
  20. While checking out the stages and someone says "Not revolver friendly is it ?" I always respond " It's ALL revolver friendy, it just depends how you look at it" and sometimes I add (with a smile of course) "and I just might be able shoot it faster than you".....and sometimes I do It's all about attitude, if you look like your having fun and don't let the challenges get you down, people will notice. The Revolver Division, will never be as big as the other divisions, that's just the reality of being the most challenging division, it doesn't appeal to most......that's ok, that's why we have 5 divisions to choose from. We just need to be ready to answer questions, encourage those who are considering giving it a try and JUST HAVE FUN ----Jerry
  21. Hey MCB, Ouch!!!!! Glad no one was hurt.......too bad about the 610 though Don't know how much it will cost, but from what I was told they only have unfluted cylinders left for the 610.....too bad. Hope everything turns out well --- Jerry
  22. Mike, I won't dispute that I do want to clarify something though, my satifaction is with the Custom Shop....... the Warrenty Dept. is another issue...... The revolvers I use for IPSC & Steel I do the work myself, though I'm sure no where near the caliber of Randy's work, isn't that bad either and getting better. The ones I've sent to the Custom Shop have been the revolvers I use in the woods. I really like the glass bead finsh they put on them and I now have 2 - 3" 686+ from barrels they had. The action jobs they've done are very good...didn't need a light trigger pull, but a smooth trigger pull because I still use the factory mainsprings on these for reliablity......don't want any FTF's. Like I said, this wasn't to take anything from Randy, but to back up those who have done me right. S&W may have some problems, but they do have some really good people there:) ----Jerry
  23. Though I have no doubt Randy does top rate work and my comments are not to sway you either way, but feel I need to state my experience with the S&W custom shop. I have had custom work done on 5 revolvers at S&W, 4 Combat Revolver Packages and 3 barrels changed out to different lengths. All work was excellant. As Round Gun wrote, the people who do the warrenty (who I've had many problems with also) are in a different area. Actually the people who do the packages are in the "Charge Area", seperate from the Performance Center. They are 3 guys trying to provide the best service possible, but having to deal with lack of parts and having "overflow" warrenty work dumped on them, which interfers with they're custom work jobs. Next week I'll be sending my 610 also to them to have it gone through and have a 6 1/2" barrel installed and know it will be top rate work. ---Jerry
