  1. Any info on this match. I'm putting together my calendar and would like to add it. Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce Warren
  2. Here in Michigan there are 2 clubs that shoot SC once a month and 1 club that shoots a major Rimfire Challenge a year. I would love to find more of both but who knows were to find them and sign up for them NSSF lists them but nothing in the Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, areas. Same for the Steel Challenge site. I'd like to shoot any Steel Challenge state matches I can find as well as Rimfire Challenge. Any ideas on how to find them?
  3. Any word on the 2015 Indiana Championship match? I would like to sign up and add it to my schedule.
  4. I live in Michigan and am looking for USPSA, ICORE, Steel Challenge, and Rimfire Challenge matches within 8-10 hour drive time to keep tuned up. I remember hearing about a club in Tenn(?) that shot steel challenge on Saturday and USPSA on Sunday but can't find it. Can anyone give me some help finding a place to unload some ammo? Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce
  5. 625 Dead? Does that mean we should be able to buy used ones for $400-$500?

  7. I used to shoot a 210 power factor. a 200 gr. bullet at 1050 fps. or a 185 gr. bullet at 1150. Corbon used to help me out with ammo, back in the day, and I liked the 200 gr. HP ammo they make. Ken Tapp used the 165 Corbon load. You didn't state what type of gun you are using: Open with comp or limited? For my limited gun I used, 230 gr. factory ammo. With new pins, factory worked fine. After the pins have been shot, you need more power.
  8. This gun was built by Austin Behlert back in the mid 90's as a prize gun for the Second Chance Pin match. Hope you enjoy.
  9. This pistol was built by Austin Behlert back in the mid 90's as a prize gun for Second Chance. The important thing to remember is that the gunsmith had to CREATE his own parts. No calling Brownell's for items you wanted. You may also want to take special notice of the pivoting trigger system Austin designed. Smooth as butter and light. Too bad this didn't catch on. Hope you enjoy the photos.
  10. Would anyone here have a 22 magnum cylinder chamber reamer that I could rent or borrow? I have to clean up a rough revovler cylinder but don't really need one to keep forever. You can email me at bruce@bcarmory.com with terms and conditions. Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce Warren
  11. Team Accurate members are looking for December thru March matches in some of the warmer states within 10 hours driving distance. Hoping to find some USPSA, ICORE or steel challenge/plate matches being held so we don't have to start up from scratch next spring. Rock Castle, Lexington. KY. areas are within 7-8 hours. Memphis is about the max at 10 hours. If anyone has matches planned that we might be able to attend, please let me know. Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce
  12. Here are some photos of a 617 I built for one of my shooting team. Using a Tactical Solutions barrel, Weigand front sight base and SDM gold bead front sight.
  13. some time back I remember seeing an ad in Front Sight for someone makeing 30 round 9mm magazines using SVI tubes. I would like to buy one but can't find the ad or info on who was offering them. Can anyone help me out? Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce Warren
  14. I thank you all for your responses. This dot was on a S&W 625 I bought a couple of years ago. I worked fine till the battery died. I don't even remember what battery it took as I removed it and replaced it with what the guy at Batteries Plus told me was the replacement. After installing the Batteries Plus unit, it didn't turn on. I thought I may have damaged it so I sent it in for repair. If someone can tell me what battery it takes, I'll replace it and try the cleaning tip that was offered. Thanks for your help and Keep Shootin'
  15. Howdy all: I have an Aimpoint optic that stopped working. I sent it to Aimpoint February 16th and got it back on May 25th with a note from John Enloe stating they no longer manufacture the parts to repair these units. Is there someone else willing to tackle this repair? I know OKI DOT used to work on Tasco's so I was just wondering if anyone works on Aimpoints. I tried to attach a photo of the unit but the file is too big. It is an Aimpoint COMP model. I can send photos if you can help. Thanks and Keep Shootin' Bruce Warren
  16. Last year the tombstones were very hard to put down. I brought my 9 major loads just for them. The chickens are always tough but they are very deceptive. You need to hit them high in the back or in the head. any lower and they just set there and look at you. Keep Shootin' Bruce
  17. Just wondering if I'm the only one from Michigan? I'm planning on stopping at a view point of interest on the way home. Storm Lake barrels, Jack Daniels and whatever else I can think of. With gas going up I might as well do everything in one trip. Keep Shootin'
  18. I think Polls should not be broadcast by the news media. If candidates want to use the info, that's fine, but when the news tells viewers who is "predicted" to win, why bother to vote. If your candidate is predicted to win, you don't need to vote. If you candidate is "predicted" to lose, why bother to vote. I think Polls are just a tool used to control the voters into electing (either by voting or not voting) the candidates "Advertised" by the media. Of course, this is just my opinion, I could be wrong. Keep Shootin'
  19. I have several PDP-4 red dots and in the past I have sent them to OKI-DOT for tuneups and repairs. I don't think they are in business anymore and am thinking about taking one apart to see if I can make one work. Can anyone direct me to the proper place for some info on them? Thanks and Keep Shootin'
  20. Just wanted to post a Thank You to Manny Bragg and endorse his training class. My shooting partner Dennis and I had the chance to train with Manny on Thursday the 27th in Colo, Iowa. Before the class, Manny asked what we wanted to learn from this class. We asked for the basic fundamentals. Well, it turns out we learned more than that. We learned what we didn't know we needed to know. Manny's patience, presentation and experience enabled Dennis and I realize all the things we didn't know - we didn't know. I really opened our eyes to what we were doing wrong but also how to do things right AND BETTER. Thanks to Manny and to Jay Tappe for allowing us to use his facilities for a great day of shooting and learning.
  21. I've been trying to locate or call Kings Gun Works. Mr. King passed away last year and his widow moved the store down the street. I ordered some parts and she sent them after finding them after the move. I tried to call to order more last week and the phone is answered by someone who doesn't know anything about King's. Can anyone help me????
  22. Having shot the Drazy last year, I would be overjoyed just to have it again this year. Maybe some other clubs would be willing to put on the same type. As far as a Nationals type match, I'd go, but how about a few more Drazy's or Big Dawg's, PSA, or Bang and Clang Steel matchs to fill out the year.
  23. Thanks to all of you for your imput. I think I would be better served at a different school. My team member and I are thinking of taking Manny Bragg's class sometime in "10. He is scheduled to be teaching in Iowa at the Tappe range. That would be much closer and more in line with what we want. We are looking for someone who can not only critqueus but teach us how to dignose a stage . I don't think I'm quite ready for Matt Mclarin's class but if you have any suggestions, I would welcome the imput.
